What’s the word on Tatis? Just a rest day? Kinda weird timing on the verge of clinching playoffs and opening game of a series against the best team in the league.

Going with the clinched lineup before the playoffs are officially clinched? Bold.
It’s not like Peralta has crazy splits this year or his career (about 20-30 pts of OPS different).
Abandoning division hopes is the way to go. Best to just take the five seed and get the rotation set for the WCS. And maybe the Cubs will collapse and we can still get that series at Petco.

Division would be awesome but the most optimal approach to the postseason is just to go against Chicago in the wc and hope Chicago has a meltdown perhaps in SD? Hopefully
I know that rest is also a consideration but Tati and Ramon have zero hits against peralta.
