The San Jose Sharks Went Viral Today for Putting Up a Banner for a Trophy They Didn’t Win 😂
This situation of the San Jose Sharks putting up a banner of a trophy that they didn’t win has been getting a ton of buzz online, but we have an answer to what happened. So, let’s talk about it. If you’re new here, I talk hockey every single day. Make sure you follow miss anything. But this picture right here has been going viral of the San Jose Sharks putting up a President’s Trophy banner for the 2015 2016 season. But if you know anything, the Washington Capitals actually won the President’s Trophy that season. And the San Jose Sharks haven’t won that trophy since the 0809 season. There has been a ton of people online getting on the sharks about this. But I actually want to go through and give an answer to what happened because we actually got one from someone within the Sharks organization. So, you can see the banners there. They’re actually brand new. They’re not the same banners that have been hanging from the rafters for a long time. They went through and updated them this season, just like the National Predators just did. But, we actually got an answer for exactly what happened in this situation from the president of the CSA Sharks, Jonathan Beecher. He responded to someone on Twitter saying that this was basically just a printing error. They went through and ordered all these new banners and this one came out with the wrong date on it. According to him, the team is aware of the issue and they’re going through. They already have a replacement on order. They just have to wait for it to come in. But I think this whole situation is still pretty funny. It’s still the off seasonason. Everyone’s still getting back into the swing of things. Sometimes stuff like this just happens, but it’s always funny when it does. So, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
