The folks on Airline have no shame and they know no one will do anything about it. Truly a mafia like operation in the city. Grubb is a fair, honest reporter so no surprise they deny him a credential now. Wouldn't want anyone calling out the franchise's incompetence. Even if you do not like how Boot Krewe conduct themselves, it's still stupid to deny Grubb. It'd be like denying Shams a media credential because they didn't like how Stephen A talked about them on ESPN. Just insane how the franchise gets away with stuff like this.

  4. David even acknowledged in his post it was possible that the press pass could be revoked in his tweet for joining boot Krewe

    I don’t take everything boot Krewe says at face value, but there’s plenty of hyperbole and fear baiting from them. I would normally be skeptical of this happening if he didn’t acknowledge that boot Krewe and the pelicans had a rocky relationship to begin with.

    All things said, the entire body of this post is so hyperbolic it really does feel like OP is a scorned lover of boot Krewe.

  8. Interesting responses here. I like BKM just like I like Shamit and his podcast/newsletter (even though there is even bad blood between those two groups). Grubb if nothing else deserves credential access, and we would be better off if he had it.

  11. Idk why I’m surprised at some of the comments here. It’s messed up they denied it. Grubb has history and experience with other outlets. The team has credentialed Boot Krewe before. The team is well aware of the post game and weekly shows/pods. The team is strong arming the narrative because the pels are a shit organization

  12. BKM screwed up and Grubb is paying the price for it. Sucks for Grubb, but he knew this could happen when he joined BKM. BKM brought him on to help them become more professional instead of just fans covering the game.

    Maybe next year Grubb can get a press pass back

BKM has said some disgusting personal stuff about Willie, DG, Benson, players, other Pelicans reporters, etc. If they were banned for just normal criticism, I would defend them but these dudes would have been banned by any team for the stuff they say during their live stream. David Grubb knows what he joined, can’t feel too bad for who you decided to be affiliated with.

  14. I think Boot Krewe puts out some good media, but its not a stretch that they are not getting a press pass to the Pelicans. Comparing them to corporations (and legacy NOLA Media), which broadcast publicly to the city of New Orleans, is not really the same thing. That is especially true in terms of the monetary partnerships – I am talking about places like Fox 8, WWL, [NOLA.COM](http://NOLA.COM), WDSU.

    It is what it is. If Boot Krewe is ever finds some real funding or is purchased by a larger entity, then you very much may see it happen one day.

  16. Bruh these responses are crazy! I understand not everyone is gonna like BKM but damn, this franchise has given us NOTHING to CONSISTENTLY be excited about. They definitely deserve to be rightfully criticized when necessary.

  18. I don’t know why this would be surprising at all. I mean BKM is not very professional. Constantly trash talking Willie Green and the franchise and Joe Dumars. What do you expect??? I’m surprised the Pelicans ever gave them press passes in the first place. Shamit/Mason Ginsburg/Jake Madison are far more professional and fair.
