  1. That ump was one of the worst all year. I really wanted this win since we emptied tank and Bruce Zimmerman is starting while the 1 seed is still on the line. The offense needs to get of this funk. They have been so bad on the road the last 7 games. Can’t score more than 3 runs without the help of the Manfred runner. Chourio specifically had a really poor day.

  2. All I hope is that every single Grant Anderson high leverage outing in the regular season has guaranteed that he will not be given that opportunity in the postseason.

  3. Putting in Grant was conceding but we got nothing left. Can’t not score with the bases loaded and 1 out

  4. Horrible horrible horrible umping.

Also dfa Anderson but I don’t blame him for this game at all. The guy just isn’t a big leaguer

  5. Really poor situational hitting for most of this game. Jackson has got to learn to chill out at the plate

  6. Gross game all around

Chourio needs to ride the pine for a minute. That at bat was a back breaker.

  7. Not being able to hit with runners in scoring position and not having a good bullpen is a recipe for disaster yet again this year. This blows.

  8. Have got to get more hits with runners in scoring position. Starting now would be nice. But gotta have it in 2 weeks.

  9. I’m really not dooming, but I think it’s reasonable to be concerned about the way this team has played over the last month, particularly away from Milwaukee. Hopefully they can flip a switch, but it’s tough to not be nervous.

  10. Soooo are we back to hoping they just magically get hot in October, like every other year? Or are we still playing like the best team in baseball? I’m not sure where we currently stand.

  11. We would’ve won that game if it weren’t for the ump giving the Padres that run in the 7th, but with how we played in extras, we didn’t deserve that win in the end.

Chourio needs to be benched for tomorrow or possibly the whole series, he’s just blindly swinging at everything and it’s dragging the entire team down

Anyways, fuck this Ump, and goodnight everybody

  12. Chourio is hitting way too poorly since coming back from injury to keep hitting near the top of the order. Murph needs to slide him down until he can get it together.

  13. This pitchcom shit needs to be looked at. There’s zero fucking chance he had technical difficulties in that moment.

  14. I don’t normally chalk up losses to umps, but I really feel like the ump beat us this game. At least that game basically didn’t matter—we’re already out of the WC round which is the most important thing. But sincerely fuck the Padres I hope we don’t see them in October because we are fucking cursed against them.

  15. The good: Freddy 200 Ks

The bad: durbin third out at third, Chourio 0-6

The ugly: magical mystery zone, timely fake pitch com issue

  16. I can’t decide if I want to play the Padres or the Cubs come postseason time (that is if we still hold the 1st seed). Either way, my blood pressure is going to sky rocket. Ugly game

  17. The padres have had the brewers number for the past couple of years now, it seems. Let’s just hope we don’t see them in the playoffs later, needless to say this fucking ump

  18. I also want to add that it is bullshit that Mona had three hits yesterday and couldn’t even get an at bat today so we could continue to see Ortiz failing with RISP.

  19. Based loaded 1 out and chourio grounds into double play. that sealed the game.

hoskins at bat was piss poor but the ump didnt help him with the calls

  20. Ortiz is terrible. Chourio has been terrible aside from his first game back. Mona absolutely needs to be playing over Ortiz. We’re probably fucked regardless though due to pitching.

  21. Should we tank the #1 seed so we don’t have to play the winner of the Cubs/Padres WC winner?

  22. Eh, it was a well fought game. Ump had a rough game and screwed us over a bit. Yes, Churio’s last at bat was bad. Hopefully, he learns from that. I am a bit worried about Ortiz. Let’s not forget he went 0 for whatever it was last postseason. Not a single hit. I hope he can contribute this year in the postseason, because I have a nagging feeling we’re going to need him to deliver at some point.
