🚨LIVE: Vikings Pulled OFF HIGHWAY ROBBERY + Steelers Week 4 Preview
[Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] I’m a [Music] heat. [Music] What’s going on everybody? You are watching Vikings now by Chat Sports. My name is Patrick Seatman and welcome in as we are live here on Victory Monday breaking down the latest around your favorite football team after the Vikings dismantled the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday with a final score 48 to10. And if you guys are hyped up about that win, hit me with the skull down below in the comments section as we let the audience build up here. Echoedits in the building. What’s going on? Connor is in the house. Lego fella, how you doing? Yeah, a much better Monday than last week. This time last week we were going live discussing uh JJ McCarthy getting hurt. Everybody was down in the dumps following that awful game on Sunday Night Football. So hopefully everybody is in a better mood this morning. I definitely was waking up. Moved to two- one. The Packers lost yesterday. So overall, I thought it was a pretty good day to be a Minnesota Vikings fan. As a hype XP saying, Isaiah Rogers is goated. Yes, he is. One of the best defensive performances we have ever seen in the National Football League. Um Chris saying, “We just signed Darasaw to a massive extension.” Good news for you, Chris. We already got him locked up for the next couple of years. But Marcos man saying Isaiah Rogers is the GOAT. Cory Miller saying, “I missed a couple live.” So good to have you back in the building. But speaking about Isaiah Rogers, it is official. the first ever 99.9 overall PFF grade. The greatest performance in PFF history. I cannot believe we witnessed that yesterday. Having two touchdowns, uh, two force fumbles, an interception, he was making plays all over the field. This guy was unbelievable. So, if you guys want to show Isaiah Rogers some love, type those twos down below. But, they graded him out right after the game as a 99.9 overall. And normally um they’ll go back to watch all 22 and you know critique some of their grades, but they kept Isaiah Rogers at a perfect 99.9. Can’t believe it. So shout out to number two, man. He is uh he’s definitely turning heads here early on and we needed him to step up in that quarterback room and he has done just that so far. He’s also the highest graded defensive player in the entire NFL throughout three weeks that have played a minimum of 150 staffs. So this guy has just been unbelievable. So type those two. Shout out to Braxton. Shout out to great V7 Viking Jerome in the building saying 99.9. How sweet is that graphic? Also, by the way, shout out to Isaiah Rogers, man. But let me also uh get you guys’ um or get you guys down in the comments section typing those 11s because Carson Wentz so far so good. Um after going back and watching the game yesterday, I think it’s easy to say like, oh, the Vikings didn’t ask to do a whole lot and they didn’t. But also that first drive, that third and five touchdown he had to Josh Oliver was a hell of a throw. It was great processing by Wentz. Now, we also saw him hang on to the ball a little too long on a couple of drives cuz the Vikings offense did have that stretch. It was right after the first drive leading up until like right at the end of the first half. They stalled out a good amount. They weren’t running the ball too well. Carson Wentz was taking some bad sacks, but I also do think start to finish, it was a pretty damn good day. you know, he’s a backup quarterback. He played like a backup quarterback. He played just enough or just good enough to get us a win. Um, and especially when you have a game like the Vikings did yesterday where they’re clicking on all cylinders. Uh, field goal unit was fantastic. Shout out to Will Riker had that 62 yard, which is also now I think that’s three straight first halfs where Riker is hit from 50 plus to end the first half. So, shout out to Will the throw. Um, we talk about Quzy not being able to draft. Most kickers that you draft don’t end up working out, but Will has just been nails so far. Um, honestly, only had that one bad stretch at the tail half of last season coming off that quad injury, but Will Riker, he’s an absolute dog, man. Absolute dog. And that’s what senior stops is saying. Riker is a dog 100%. Yes, we did put belt ass on the Bengals. That felt good because obviously this team, they were motivated coming off that bad Sunday night football loss. They want to prove to, you know, not only themselves, but the rest of the NFL world, you know, truly how special this team is. And they honestly, they proved that yesterday. I mean, even though the Bengals were out uh were without Joe Burrow, you still don’t beat a team 48 to 10 unless you are a hell of a football team. So, massive shout out to all the players, all the coaches on that team. And uh the overall roster, they played great. But Cory Miller um saying, “I’m doing a mock draft right now. Who do we want round one?” Um, round one, you know, luckily the Vikings are two and one, so I haven’t been looking too much at the NFL draft. Uh, give me a little Jeremiah Love. Let’s go running back. Let’s go luxury pick. Um, but yeah, we’ll focus on the draft here in a couple months, but we’re all about the season right now. And coming up on today’s show, I do want to talk about the GM Quacmensa and talk about two offseason moves or five offseason moves he made that have really panned out so far. mainly Isaiah Rogers. Also, that Jordan Mason trade looks absolutely fantastic. You necessarily only gave up a six round pick for Jordan Mason. So, we’ll talk about Quazy, talk about his moves. And then also, we got a week four Steelers preview. The Vikings are traveling to Dublin, Ireland this Thursday, so we get you guys my in-depth preview there. The Steelers, they’re they’re an interesting bunch so far this year. Now, they do have a two-1 record, but their defense has been very bad. And also, their offense hasn’t been too good, but they’re two- one. It’s probably the most Mike Tomlines season you could ever imagine. So, we’ll dive into the Pittsburgh Steelers. Also, some injury news here. Donovan Jackson is most likely going to be out until week seven. He had surgery on his wrist earlier on this morning, so that’s going to be something to monitor, but it will be Blake Brandell filling in at the left guard spot. So, that’s the news there. But that’s probably the biggest injury news we’ll discuss today. But if you guys are ready to rock and roll, want to dive into the first segment, just go down there, hit that thumbs up icon. We’re at 20 likes right now. If we can get to 30 likes, we’ll start today’s show. But appreciate everybody for tuning in. Um, yeah. Now we’re on to Pittsburgh. Going to go beat, you know, just beat an AFC North opponent at home in the Bengals. Now you’re going to go beat the Steelers. Hopefully go beat the Browns. And you’re 4- one heading into that buy. And then you got the Super Bowl champs in your building. Probably going to be JJ McCarthy. probably going to be, you know, Donovan Jackson will be back. Blake Cashman will be back. We should see that not like the peak of the Vikings team, but the most healthy they have been. And also, you know what stinks about Donovan Jackson getting hurt, I thought this week we’re going to get the first look at the front, like the true Vikings starting uh offensive line, but with Donovan Jackson missing, even if Ryan Kelly comes back, you know, you have four of the five offensive linemen, but Blake Brenell was solid when Christian Darasaw was in the lineup last year. So, we’ll talk about all those numbers and break him down here in a little bit, but we’re one like away. Then we’ll start today’s show talking about Quid Doofmensa and his offseason moves that have really really panned out for this team. Um, how long would Jackson be out? We are guessing he’ll be out until week seven. At least that’s the way KOC was talking today. I will say also Kevin Oonnell, listening to his press conference today, he had such a somber tone in his voice. I thought he was about to say some major injury to like McCarthy or Jefferson, but then he got to Donovan Jackson. I’m not saying Donovan Jackson isn’t a major injury because obviously that’s a big blow to the offensive line, but KC kind of just seemed down in the dumps. Um, which I kind of like, you know, you don’t want to get too high, don’t want to get too low, just want to stay in the middle. But I thought KC was going about the about to drop some breaking breaking news on us. But turns out it was only Donovan Jackson. He’ll miss the next couple of weeks. Um, he will make the trip across the pond with the team though. So, I guess that leaves his availability for week five up in there, but more likely than not, we won’t see Donovan Jackson um out until week seven. So, hey, we appreciate you. We got over 100 people watching. We’re up to 32 likes. We’re going to dive into this first segment talking about Quy Doofmensa. If you guys are ready to rock and roll, just hit me with a skull down below and let’s do it. [Music] What’s going on Vikings fans? Welcome in the Vikings Now by Chat Sports. My name is Patrick Seman and coming up on today’s show, did Vikings GM Quacio doofmensa do it again? Well, we’re going to be talking about it on today’s edition of Vikings Now by Chat Sports and what are those moves that we’re going to be uh talking about that uh the Vikings GM made. Well, it’s going to be these five. We’re going to start off with the Jordan Mason trade. This was a complete fleece job by Quas in this front office and also drafting Donovan Jackson, signing Isaiah Rogers, extending Theo Jackson. Theo Jackson had a great game yesterday against the Cincinnati Bengals. And then lastly, right before the season, you traded Sam How and you signed Carson Wentz. We’ll break down all five of these moves here on today’s show, but let me ask you this question about the GM. Do you trust Quido Fmensa? Where do you stand? I know a lot of Vikings fans are, you know, split on the general manager. Some people really like him. Some people are still skeptical. So, if you guys trust him, go down there, hit that thumbs up icon. But if you don’t, just comment why down below. Curious to see what you guys have to say. All right, so the first move we’re going to break down, and this is my favorite move of the Vikings off seasonason. It was the Jordan Mason trade. Jordan Mason was absolutely fantastic yesterday. And the fact that the Vikings necessarily only gave up a six round pick for him is complete highway robbery. So, you move down 27 spots in the draft from 160 to 187 and then you just attached a six round pick for Jordan Mason where I think he is a top 10 running back in the league. Like, he can be a bellcow guy. He can be a split carries guy. You can put him in any sort of role within the offense and he can be successful. And this guy has some of the best numbers in the league so far. His advanced stats are absolutely fantastic. He’s actually second in the NFL um in rushing yards over expected so far this season. only behind James Connor. And even his EPA per rush, first in the league. His success rate, first in the league. Yards per carry, fifth. Yards after contact average, he’s seventh. And like I said, rushing yards over expected, plus 61. That is second in the league. So this guy, he’s passing the eye test. He’s passing the advanced analytic test. And also, his run chart from yesterday’s game was one of the most ethical run charts you will ever see. And we talk about, you know, just making the most out of every single run and, you know, why that’s so key, especially for this Kevin Oonnell offense. Well, Jordan Mason did just that. Not a single rush yesterday went for negative yards. Every single run went for positive yards. And he was just leaning on that Bengals defense. And it also felt like the entire game he was like one or two moves away from making a house call. And I think he could have a house call within the next couple of weeks across the pond. But that’s why the Jordan Mason trade, I think it was the best move of the Vikings offseason because we talked about this team improving the run game, becoming a more physical football team. Well, how do you do that? You add more physical football players and that’s what Jordan Mason is. He’s just a physical Like, I couldn’t imagine being a corner, being a linebacker. Do you see this guy hitting the hole? Like, every single time I’m sure they’re saying to themselves like, “Oh man, we really got to go tackle 27 on this. Do I really want to put my body on the line?” Play after play after play. And also Jordan Mason, he’s not only someone who is great, you know, early on in the game, even in the third quarter, but he hits his peak, he hits his stride late in that fourth quarter. Like his game yesterday going for 16 carries, 116 yards. I would have been so curious if that game was a little tighter in that fourth quarter. I think it’s on the table that Jordan Mason could have possibly ran for 150 yards. At least that’s what he was looking early on in that game. So that was my favorite move of the off seasonason. But what’s also helped out Jordan Mason run the ball, Donovan Jackson. Now, the Vikings, remember going into the draft, they only had four draft picks. Everybody was saying they are a prime tradeown candidate unless they absolutely love a prospect. Well, they clearly love Donovan Jackson. There was reports coming out that the Texans were trying to jump the Vikings to land Donovan Jackson. Then the Texans ended trading up uh trading out of pick 25 with the New York Giants, but the Vikings uh stayed at that spot and drafted the Ohio State guard. And he’s been awesome this season. Now, he had a down game against the Atlanta Falcons, but the whole offensive line really got their ass handed to him. But Donovan Jackson’s been awesome, man. 58.3 overall grade. You’ll take that for your first three games. Solid in the pass blocking department. Has only allowed five uh five pressures, one sack on the season. And also, I thought yesterday he didn’t grade out like incredibly well according to PFF. He was around the mid50s. I thought he played way better than he graded out. Like, he was mauling people. he was shoving people in the run game just creating these massive massive gaps. And also about the offensive line, like the uh Vikings offensive line isn’t close to how good they can be. Like I still think that performance we saw against the Bengals, that would be one of the worst performances you see the entire season because this team is only going to get better with Darasol getting more healthy with them just building that continuity next to each other because we have seen twist concepts have gave this Vikings team some fits so far this season. Once we they get those down, once they get those five fully ready to go, I got high expectations for this group. But it also may be a while before we get the five out there. This was coming in earlier today from Kevin Okonnell. Kevin Se tweeting this out that Vikings rookie left guard Donovan Jackson had surgery on his wrist today. He suffered the injury back in week two, but played with it in week three. He’s expected to be back on the field after the week seven buy. He was on the injury report last week and was limited in two practices. So, I’m assuming week seven. That’s when we’ll get that full fiveman front of Darasaw, Jackson, Ryan Kelly, Fry, and O’Neal. But once those five get a couple games under their belt, really watch out for the Minnesota Moving Company to be moving people for the second half of the season. Then number three, you know, we had to talk about them. We got to talk about the best defensive player in football this past week by a wide margin, cornerback Isaiah Rogers. Now, it is official. Isaiah Rogers posted a perfect 99.9 overall PFF grade. This guy was absolutely fantastic yesterday. Now, obviously, you should you’re a defensive player. You’re playing the quarterback spot. You have two force fumbles. You have a pick six. You had massive pass breakups. I mean, honestly, my favorite play from Rogers wasn’t either touchdown. Wasn’t the other force fumble. It was when he was one-on-one with T. Higgins. 5050 fade route. He was stride for stride. Made a hell of a play on the football. was honestly a well-thrown ball by Browning, but number two was right there. And the stat sheet is absolutely ridiculous. He had a 99.4 coverage grade, a pick six, a scoop and score, two force fumbles, a PBU on T. Higgins. This guy was absolutely fantastic. And you know, it’s so funny. You know, the Vikings obviously were I don’t want to say they were taking a risk on Isaiah Rogers, but they were banking on him being a key piece to this offense. And he is having a career year so far. Here is PFF grades throughout his career. He was pretty damn good with the Colts. Obviously had that gambling issue. Kept him out for the entire 2023 season. Had a really good year with the Super Bowl champs this past season in Philadelphia. And now this year for the Vikings, he’s posted a 90.9 overall uh PFF grade. That is the highest out of all defensive players that have played a minimum of 150 snaps. So this team was putting a lot on his plate and he has lived up to it. And also his contract was 2 years 1 million. Like for example, the Jets signed Brandon Stevens for 3 for 36 and the Vikings got Isaiah Rogers 2 for 11. This all goes back to that sicko defensive coordinator we have Brian Flores. I will never question a move that this guy makes in the secondary. Whether that’s extending Theo Jackson, whether that’s bringing in Isaiah Rogers, putting trust in a guy like Jeff Okuda, whatever Brian Flores says, I’m going to take his word for it. He knows more about the game of football than I will ever even 1% of me would ever hope to know. But signing Isaiah Rogers two for 11, one of the biggest steals so far in free agency. And also yesterday, I think he had the greatest defensive performance of all time. Just in a single game, I think that was the best ever. But what say you? Was Isaiah Rogers performance the greatest of all time during week three? Give me a Y for yes. Give me an N for no. You guys let me know your thoughts down below in the comments section. A massive shout out to the prize pick for sponsoring today’s edition of Vikings now by chat sports prize picks. It’s good to be right. All right, let’s carry on here. So, obviously these first three moves absolutely fantastic, all working out. But also an under the radar move. How about extending Theo Jackson? Like that was a huge question mark. Vikings let Cam Binham walk. They extended Josh Matelis. You still had Harrison Smith, but obviously Harry, he’s older. And the Vikings, you put a lot of faith in a former sixround pick. Didn’t play a lot in 2024, but Theo Jackson’s looked like a bargain deal so far. I mean, his contract three years, 9 million. Think about this. You signed Isaiah Rogers 2 for 11 and Theo Jackson three for 9.31 million. Well, Isaiah Rogers just had one of the best games I ever seen. And Theo Jackson was right up there with him yesterday. Theo Jackson was absolutely unbelievable. He posted a 91.5 overall PFF grade in 50 snaps yesterday. Coverage grade of 89.4, tackle grade 78.1, run defense 64.8, but he was the second highest graded Viking only behind Isaiah Rogers having a 91 12 overall grade. And we saw the flashes last year, like I still remember that Seahawks game when he had the fill in for Harrison Smith. He played some really good football in that matchup, but they were asking for him to step up and play a massive role and he has done just that. Like again, this goes back to Brian Flores. Like this guy, I’m not saying you could put anybody back there in the secondary or anybody at the safety position, but you look at the highest rated Vikings defender so far this season, it’s guys like Josh, it’s a Theo Jackson. It’s even a Jay Ward mixed in there. Like these safeties play great football in this system. Now Flores is obviously asking them to do a lot a lot of creative, you know, coverages, a lot of creative schemes. So he’s asking these guys to execute at a high level, but when they are like this defense can be the best in the National Football League. And I thought they put that on display yesterday. And then lastly, how about this move? Just trading Sam Holland signing Carson Wentz. No, I still think there’s probably about 60 quarterbacks alive that could have won that game for the Vikings yesterday, but still Carson Wentz was way, way better than what Sam How could have ever been for this offense. Just a clean game from Carson. 70% completion percentage, 173 yards, found the end zone two times, won the Hawk, won the Josh Alver, and didn’t turn the ball over. Now, clearly Carson uh Wentz wasn’t asked to do too much. But I also think over the next couple weeks, he’ll have his chances because whether that’s, you know, a rock fight game against the Steelers or rock fight game against the Cleveland Browns, you can’t assume that the Vikings defense is going to put up 14 points every week on their own. Like Wentz is going to have to make some plays. I think he will. Obviously, this offense super quarterback friendly. Wentz is, you know, has a good grasp and a good understanding what KOC wants to accomplish on every single play. So, it was just a clean clean first start for him. Excited to see him build off this. I think he will, but a good test coming up across the pond. Um, to see that redheaded man playing Dublin, Ireland, and London. It’s going to be sweet. Can’t wait for it. But if you guys want to show Carson one some love to round out today’s show, just type his jersey number, type those 11s down below in the comments section. Show Carson one some love and we’ll uh get on out of here. Appreciate you guys watching today’s show. As always, Skull Vikes. All righty. What’s going on, Roger Bong? Welcome in. Jason Olsen in the building. Yeah, fivestar win yesterday. 100% Jason 100%. Lego fella saying Skull Wentz. Also, it’s just nice. Carson Wentz like there’s a photo of him at a Vikings game when he was growing up. It was uh it was pretty cool. like obviously like he talked about it like you bounce around the league a lot like you kind of forget who you grew up rooting for and I’m sure once he put on that uniform he you know ran out there with the team like it really was probably a really cool moment for him so uh nothing but love for Wentz he’s in an advantageous spot you’re playing a very quarterback friendly offense and you got a great chance to win next week so um hope you can stack these wins keep stacking good games and we’ll just go from there but shout out to JFR Connor in the building as well appreciate everybody for tuning in. Lego fellow is saying, “I wish McCarthy could have played yesterday because he would have been just fine. It would feel like a bounce back from Sunday night.” I agree with that. Um, but also I will say like Kevin Okcono alluded to it during his press conference uh earlier on today. Josh Macau was apparently raving about JJ and how he handled this whole situation. Like every single play he was, you know, or after every drive he was going up to Went saying, “Hey, what did you see on this play? You know, what were you looking at here?” So, you know, even though he’s not actually out there getting those live in-game reps, he’s still developing. He’s still working behind the scenes. And KC also did pretty much say today that this is JJ McCarthy’s team. So, even if the Vikings do go three and0, I know that’s a huge debate right now. Like, what do they do if Wentz wins three straight games? Do you go back to JJ McCarthy? Even if Wentz combines for 606 over the next two weeks and the Vikings, you know, do what they did. I still think it’s going to be McCarthy in that week seven game, which is going to be a tough spot. I mean, you got the Super Bowl champs, the best team in the NFC, the Eagles coming to your own building, but you should be healthy. Cashman should be back. You should even be getting like Aaron Jones back, Donovan Jackson. Like, you should be getting this team fully ready to rock and roll. And I think it would just be good reps for McCarthy. But also, all types of love for uh, you know, Carson Wentz. But I do want to dive into our Steelers preview here. Um, week four traveling to Dublin, Ireland. It’s going to be uh, it’s going to be a fun game. We’re going to be getting up here very bright and early. will be live here on the channel about 7:30 in the morning on Sunday. So, make sure you guys tune in then. But, let’s dive into it. Steelers week four preview taking on the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, Ireland. It’s going to be a very, very fun game. And, uh, we got our buddy, we got Aaron Rodgers to talk about. So, um, Vikings definitely got the better Rogers, I would say, this offseason. Shout out to Isaiah. But, uh, Steelers are an interesting team. Um, they have not looked good whatsoever this season, but they’re somehow two and one. I think it’s the most Mike Tomliness start to a season possibly in Steelers franchise history. So, I do want to talk about this game. If you guys are ready to go, make sure you guys have liked the video and just drop me a skull down below in the comments section. Um, Lego fellow, appreciate you. Simeon or Simon saying Eagles just won a crazy game. That was a crazy game. Uh, Roger Bong in the building as well. So, let’s talk about it. Week four preview against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let’s dive into it. [Music] What’s going on Vikings fans? Welcome to the Vikings now by chat sports. My name is Patrick Seatman and we are here giving you guys our official preview as the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers square off in week four, not in the States. We’re going across the pond to Dublin Iron for this matchup. It’s going to be a lot of fun and some topics we’ll be discussing on today’s show. We’re going be deep diving into the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’re a two-1 football team. The record’s solid, but they haven’t been playing good football. So, we’ll dive into the Steelers, talk about how they have found success, and also talk about some parts of the game that they definitely need to improve on, and then also talk about the Vikings season so far, how are they shaking out. We do have some big-time injury news on Vikings left guard Donovan Jackson. Then, we’ll get you guys my five keys to victory and then my score prediction to round out today’s show. But before we do so, if you guys could hit that subscribe button today, we are taking on our Steelers Talk channel here at Chat Sports, and we are doing a race to see which channel can get 100 subscribers first. So, if you guys want to help me out, help me beat Steelers Talk in this race to 100 subs. Make sure you guys have hit that subscribe button so far. And uh once you guys are sub to the channel, just hit me with a skull down below in the comments section. All right, let’s dive into the Steelers here. So, the Steelers, like I said, they’re two- one on the season, but it’s been an interesting year for Pittsburgh. I think it’s been the most Mike Tomlines start in Pittsburgh Steelers history where they’re winning some football games, but are they necessarily playing good football? We’ll try to decipher it um here on today’s show. But they beat the New York Jets in a shootout in week one, was one of the best games of the week. They won that game 34 to 32. Chris Boswell hit a 60 y to give the Steelers a lead late in that contest. Then they lost their week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at home, but then they also followed that up and beat the New England Patriots 21 to4. But let’s dive into the Steelers offense here first. So they have been struggling um only putting up 24 points a game, which is 12th in the league, but they haven’t been able to move the ball at a high level. Yards per game, they’re 30th. Pass yards per game, they’re 24th. But the main problem with the Steelers offense, they can’t run the football. Teams are showing them a lot of too high. And if teams are showing you a lot of too high, unless you have an elite quarterback, it’s probably going to be tough to throw the ball. And how do you get teams out of that defense? You run the football and the Steelers heavy yet to be able to do that this season. They’re only averaging 63 rushing yards per game on the ground. But let’s talk about the quarterback, Aaron Rogers. The raw numbers look fine with Raj. Uh he’s got seven touchdowns, three picks, but the advanced analytics are not in favor of Aaron Rogers. His A dot average depth to target is 5.8 yards. Big- time throws. He only has two on the season, which is 2.2%. He’s actually got five turnover worthy plays, which is 4.8%. His adjusting completion percentage is solid, but a lot of underneath stuff, a lot of screens for the Steelers offense, and is actually EPA per play is in the negative so far. But the biggest concern with the Steelers offense is not with Aaron Rodgers. It is with the run game 100%. And they have not been able to run the ball whatsoever this season. So, it’s kind of tough to evaluate the Steelers offense because, you know, I do think it will look a lot better if you’re able to get a consistent running game. But week one against the Jets, 20 carries, 53 yards, nothing there. Still won that game. Week two against the Seahawks, 21 carries, 72 yards, a little better, but still nothing to write home about. Then even week three against the Patriots, 26 carries, 64 yards, 2 and a half yards per clip. But you still won that football game. So, it’s almost a credit to the Steelers. You have been such a bad rushing offense, but you’re still two and one somehow. And after going back and watching the Steelers offense a little bit more, here are just a couple of things that you guys should keep your eyes out on. They have shown a reluctancy to throw the ball down the field unless it’s just a DK Metaf fade. They’ll run DK Metaf on a lot of fades, a lot of streak routes. That’s really the only time they’re throwing the ball down the field. Besides that, it’s like a random deep post to Calvin Austin. But you will see this a lot of multiple tight end sets. I’m pretty sure out of 53 offensive snaps for the Steelers this past weekend, they had multiple tight ends out there. 35 of those 53 snaps. So, that’s something to keep an eye out on. Now, also Aaron Rogers, if he has a clean pocket and he is on time and in rhythm, he can still make a lot of throws, but he also can’t move right now. If you get him off his spot, he is a very limited athlete, obviously, at this point in his career. So he can’t move like he used to, which has also allowed to steer his offense to just set up a lot of screens trying to get the ball out quick to Calvin off Austin, give it to DK Metaf, but also zero running game. So it’s a lot of underneath stuff. They’re not really throwing the ball down the field too much because they’re getting a lot of too high, but they can’t get defenses out of too high because they can’t run the football. So just offensively, a lot of struggles early on here in the season for Pittsburgh. But defensively, probably the most concerning part from a Steelers fan perspective is you thought this defense was going to be one of the best in the NFL. Most people did, but it just hasn’t looked like that uh that so far. They’re almost giving up 400 yards per game, which is 29th in the league. They’re getting gashed on the ground as well, giving up 140 rushing yards per game, giving up 25.7 points per game, and third down percentage not good as well, 46.3. But the Steelers defense has been able to force a lot of takeaways. They have forced eight takeaways this season, which I believe is second most in the league behind the Jacksonville Jaguars. But they have three interceptions. Now, I will say I think takeaways are combination of luck and skill. The fumble recoveries for the Steelers. They have five in three games. That is lucky. Like that is a trend that won’t continue throughout the entire year. Yes, you can force a lot of fumbles, but a lot of the time it’s just, you know, where is the ball bounce? And Steelers have just gotten a, you know, gotten the benefit of the doubt in that department. But still, this defense can take the ball away. And obviously, the Steelers defense has not been good so far. But also, they just have the personal uh personnel to turn it around. Like, I find it hard to believe like all those stats we were just showing you, you know, the ranked 25th, the 30th in every major statistical category. I find it hard to believe that that’s going to maintain through the entire season. One, TJ Watt, he’s going to be a lot better than what he’s shown for the first three weeks. Cam Hayward still a solid player. They got Jaylen Ramsey in the secondary now and just plus with Mike Tomlin on top of it, their defensive coordinator, uh Terrell Austin, like they should be a lot better than what they’ve shown. They got some playmakers over there, but so far for the uh for the first three weeks, the Vikings offense, at least just on paper right now, just for the 2025 season, should have some success against the Steelers defense. So, I’ll ask you guys this. Who you got in this matchup? Give me a V for the Vikings or give me an S for the Steelers. Who’s winning this game in Dublin, Ireland? You guys, I’m going to your thoughts down below. Give me a V for the Vikes or give me an S for the Steelers. All right, now let’s talk about the Vikings 2025 season. Um, just like how I was saying, the Steelers year started off in the most Mike Tomlines way ever. The Viking season probably started off in the most Vikings way ever. Now, we’re going to start off defensively because that’s been the MVP of the team. Um, the best unit for this football team. The defense has been awesome. Six in yards per game, third in passing yards per game. Now, you see the rushing yards per game stat. I think this is incredibly skewed. I think this is obviously the Falcons ran all over you and that defense was out there on the football field a whole lot. But I think if they get more support from their offense, they’re probably going to be top five in damn near everything this season. They’re already down the top 10 in points per game. Um, and they’re top five and third down percentage, but also stopping the run. People thought it was going to be a big issue before the year. I understand the numbers look like it is an issue, but honestly, I feel like the Vikings have been pretty solid taken away. And for two, you know, main reasons being two guys in the interior. You have some young defensive tackles playing some great football. And I want to give a massive shout out to Levi Drake Rodriguez and Jaylen Redmond. Think about this. Levi Drake Rodriguez, he’s a seventh round pick. Jaylen Redmond was an XFL player a couple years ago. And these two have been absolutely fantastic combining for 10 pressures, five tackles for loss. Their PFF grades have been amazing. So, you’re getting great production from the interior of your defensive line. We also know it’s not the bread and butter of the defense. It is the pass rushers. And these three have been fantastic in pass rush productivity according to PFF. This takes in a bunch of different sacks, pressures, sacks, quarterback hits, the whole nine out of 223 eligible edge rushers. The Vikings have three in the top 17. Shout out at the Dallas Turner. He’s 11th. I was kind of stunned to see that. But Jonathan Gennard top 10. Andrew Van Ginkle top 20 there. And the Vikings defensive line, there’s no doubt, it has been the backbone of this team so far this season. Like if you didn’t have those guys up front wrecking havoc, the Vikings might be a one and two team. He probably don’t win in Chicago. And also that guy right there, 58, Jonathan Gernard, 16 pressure so far this season, he’s only got one sack. So if you just look at the raw numbers, like the force fumbles, the sacks, you’re probably saying Gernard’s having a downish year. Couldn’t be farther from the truth. number 58 I think has looked better than what he’s done uh this past season. He’s gonna continue that and the sacks will come. Like I could see a game coming up here. Could be this weekend where it’s like, oh, Jonathan Gennard had three and a half sacks. You know, he finally started to get home. But the pressures are good. He’s setting the edge really well. He’s great against the run. Uh you know, I remember it’s funny last year I was saying the Vikings defense doesn’t have a true blue chipper. I was completely wrong on 58. He is just that top 10 edge rusher in the league and you know, he’s just been amazing. But offensively, up and down year for the Vikes. Um, obviously total yards per game, not good. 290, that’s 28th. Pass yards. Obviously, they’ve been struggling for the first three games. Didn’t ask them to do a whole lot in their week three game against the Bengals. So, that’s ranked 30th, but hey, rushing yards per game, top 12 in the league. Then points per game, six. Obviously, it helps when you dropped 48 in one of those games. But then third, uh, third down percentage has struggled a little bit. But my favorite stat right here, it’s a rushing yards per game. Shout out to Kevin Okconor. for moving up here over the last four seasons cuz as we know this has been my biggest gripe with KOC not being able to consistently run the football. First two seasons under 100 rushing yards per game. Last year much better up to 108. And now this year you’re up to 122 which is top 12 in the league. And obviously a big reason for that is Jordan Mason. But we’re also going to get another Jordan back this week. Jordan Addison is making his return after that three-game suspension, which is just going to open up this offense a whole lot more because obviously now you got to give some attention to the Vikings run game. You’re already giving attention to Justin Jefferson every single play. Now you just sprinkle in Jordan Addison. We saw TJ Hawinson get going last week. This offensive line is looking a lot better. This guy’s impact will be felt right away. I promise you that. So, shout out to number three for making his return this week against the Steelers. and welcome back JA for us. Show Jordan Addison some love down below in the comments section. Type those threes down below. Type his jersey number and welcome him back to this Vikings lineup. Cannot wait to see the best wide receiver do in the league. Uh get it done across the pond this weekend. It’s good to be right. All right, let’s talk about some major injury news for the Vikings heading into this matchup. Rookie left guard Donovan Jackson had surgery on his wrist Monday morning. He suffered it back in week two, played with it in week three, but is more likely than not that we won’t see the uh rookie left guard until week seven against the Philadelphia Eagles. But also KC said it’s going to be Blake Brandell filling in at that left guard spot. And Brandell interesting player because I actually thought Brandell was pretty damn good for the first seven games. And these are his before and after splits um from when Christian Darasol got hurt during that Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams. But when Darasol was out there, you’ll take that production out of a backup left guard. 6 3.1 overall grade, only allowed two sacks, only allowed 10 pressures. But then we saw after that he was giving up three pressures a game. He was giving up a half a sack a game. And you know, he was decent, but obviously he was a net negative as a whole on that offensive line. And you’re also going to get some more help on the offensive lineback. Ryan Kelly, KOC, said he should be back this week. He obviously is dealing with a concussion and he’s had a history of concussion. So, you’re getting your center back, but now you’re losing your left guard. Um, obviously unfortunate, especially Donovan Jackson, he showed a lot of flashes early on, but hopefully the Vikings will have him back uh week seven against the Eagles. But speaking about the Vikes staying healthy here, if you guys want the Vikings to stay healthy, just go down there, hit that thumbs up icon, like today’s show for us. Um, don’t jinx it. try to get some good vibes heading our uh Vikings players way. And if you guys want them to stay healthy, hit that thumbs up button. All right, key to victory number one for me against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Win the turnover battle. And we’re bringing back my favorite stat around the Minnesota Vikings head coach. And that being when the Vikings win or tie the turnover battle, they are 32 and3 which is a 91.4 win percentage. The league average for that statistic is 66 and a half. That is a Kevin Oonnell stat. So, especially when you’re playing a Steelers team where I think this Vikings team is better. If you just win or screw it, tie the turnover battle, you should win this game. And I’m calling my shot right now. We’re just talking about the Steelers offense. Like to throw a lot of underneath stuff. They like to get the ball out quick, utilize the screen game. Obviously, we know Aaron Rogers used to kill the Vikings with that quick passing game. I’m calling my shot right now. We’re going to get our first gink six of the season this weekend in Ireland, which also means we would have seen the gink six in London and Ireland against Aaron Rogers and we will see it in its third ever country. So, that’s going to be my uh call my shot this weekend. I got Andrew Van Genko pick six against Aaron Rodgers. Uh that would make me so happy. Hopefully, that ends up happening. A little wishful thinking on that one, but I think he’s got a chance. You know, I had one last year against Arage. Hopefully he does it again this season. And speaking about Rogers, number two for me. Got to get him off his spot. Um, now, like we were saying earlier, the advanced analytics aren’t pretty or in favor for the man juicier Roger Aaron Rogers, but I will say this, if Rogers has a clean pocket, he can still kill you. Like, he is an all-time great talent. I understand he’s not near the guy he once was when he was in Green Bay. He couldn’t be further from that guy, but that right arm is still there. Now, can he move like he did back in the Green Bay days? Can he, you know, maneuver the pocket like he did back with the Packers? No. But if the Steelers able to protect him up front and he’s a clean pocket and he can just sit back there, dissect uh dissect this Vikings defense, he can have a game. So, you got to pressure him. And that starts with also stopping the run. Steelers can’t run the ball. you shouldn’t allow them run the ball this weekend. That should force Rogers into a lot of third and eights, a lot of third and nines. Then you let Flores get creative, showing him the exotic coverages, and then you get home to him, bring him down because he won’t be able to like, you know, how KO Williams week one kind of killed the Vikings defense, moving around, playing a little backyard football. Number eight can’t do that anymore. So, get him off his spot. And number three, let the Jordan Mason show continue. This guy is I don’t mean to throw a slight to guys like Dvin Cook here, but he is my favorite Vikings running back I have watched since Adrien Peterson. Just a combination of power, speed, finishing runs, getting better throughout a game is fantastic. I told you guys this before the season. He is a top 10 running back. A lot of people are calling me crazy, saying I’m a homer. I don’t know what I’m talking about. I truly believe it. And he’s played like a top 10 running back so far this season. EPA per rush first success rate first yards per carry top five yards after contact seven rushing yards over expected second all the advanced analytics prove that Mason’s a top five guy the eye test shows he’s a top five guy and now he’s finally getting his you know uh or he’s finally getting enough chances with Aaron Jones being out I think he’s just going to continue that this weekend so you obviously got to establish a run then once you establish that run let the best wide receiver in the game dominate a weird year for Justin Jefferson. He hasn’t had that like truly Justin Jeffersones game. He was pretty good against the Bengals and limited chances. I thought he was about to house that one catch he had over the middle of the field. But the Justin Jefferson 2025 breakout game is coming eventually. Now, will it be this week against the Steelers? Who the hell knows? But also Jaylen Ramsay likes to talk a lot of noise. I can see Jefferson taking that personal. And also if the Steelers, if you want to put four eyes on Jefferson, six eyes on Jefferson, roll the coverage his way, please do so because that would mean Jordan Addison, TJ Hawinson, the run game getting going. That’s why the Vikings offense just I think when they’re fully clicking and everything is humming, you know, between the pass game and the run game, this team is truly unstoppable, there’s really not an answer to, you know, solve that Vikings uh, you know, to solve the problem that they force other defenses to face. And you know, lastly, don’t beat yourself here. The Vikings are the better team. I understand you got a backup quarterback, but they’re just better than the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’re better heading into the year. You got a better defense. You got a better offense. But two things that can’t happen this weekend. That’s what I mean by don’t beat yourself. Missed tackles and penalties. The Vikings offensively over the last two weeks have been driving me crazy. You are at home. Way too many pre- snap penalties. that’s got to get shared up now. Is that having a backup quarterback, having a backup center in there? I’m sure that played a part in it, but also the missed tackles. The Vikings have been a fine tackling team so far this season. But the only way the Steelers beat you is if they have like one or two plays where it’s just like a, hey, a quick out to DK Mechaf and he takes, you know, it makes a guy miss and he takes it up the sideline. It’s like a 50 yard touchdown or Calvin Austin makes a dude miss in the hole and he takes it or one of their running backs, you know, forces a player to miss and then they take it all the way. But if the Vikings play solid football, play your BB plus game, you should get a win. And my score prediction, it’s going to be the Vikings defense again. They’re going to have another fantastic game. You can’t let the Steelers defense get right this week. So, I got the Vikings winning this matchup 24-3. Um, I think it could maybe be a slugfest, kind of similar to the Jets game in London this past season where it was just kind of choppy early on. No team could really get anything going. Then Van Genko had that pick six kind of opened it all up. But I think the story line of this game will be the Vikings defense. Um, that’s why I got the Vikes 24-13. You guys let me know. Predict the score for me down below in the comments section. Vikings vers Steelers this weekend. Drop your score predictions down below and uh we will see you guys next time. Thank you so much for watching. As always, school bikes. Alrighty. What’s going on everybody? Appreciate you guys tuning in for our Monday live show. Lego fella in the building. Reed Southern in the house as well. What’s going on, Reed? Appreciate you guys. But uh yeah, we’re gonna hop on out of here. I appreciate everybody for tuning in today. Um we have video coming out on the channel later today. Lee Hefner going 28 to 16. Reed, good to see you as well. Um yeah, I like 2413 in favor of the Vikings. Got a good chance to move to 4-1 before the buy. They should be 4-1, honestly. three and two I think would be kind of a kind of a disaster cuz then you got a really really tough stretch after that bye-week. So hey enjoy the Lions Ravens game tonight. Going to be a ton of fun. Go Ravens. We’re going to be rooting for a purple team tonight um with the Lions the one and two. That’ll be awesome. But we appreciate everybody for tuning in. See you guys next time. Skull Bikes. [Music]

Perfect Score!! Probably impossible!! Hard in any endeavor but especially in Pro Football. Isiah Rodgers did the impossible!! We are recipients of the Greatest Show on Earth. How lucky today to be a Viking FAN!!
Nice to have some stability at qb 👌
And KOC will still probably try to make Aaron Jones the starter when he comes back 😑. He’s so goofy when it comes to his loyalty to players, whether it’s best for the team or not.
Two years ago if you would have asked who was the better Qb, Darnold or Wentz, you would have said Wentz. Similar with less turnovers…
Skol vikings I enjoy your content keep up the good work man 💯
This channel is quickly becoming my favorite channel for Vikings content. Even when its a long show it stays interesting and will stay till the end. I don't see anyone else giving the details and analyst you do. Keep up the great work and go Vikings!
So how much better does the backup QB have to play than the so called starter for content creators to stop calling you a backup, and to acknowledge that you have played far better than the starter, and probably should be the starter?
