Miami Dolphins Bring Back Friendly Faces To Help | Kendall Lamm Praises More Professional Fins

Uh I’m going to be on the call whenever you guys if you guys see this on Friday. Uh I’ll be on the call tonight. Dirty Boxing 3 is going down. Got the merch on right now. Um it’s going to be a hell of a card. It’s going down to the hanger in Coconut Grove. I think there’s some tickets still available uh if you guys did want to pop in and check that out. It’s going to be a hell of a show. It’s really really a fun sport. So, that’s where I’ve been on the radio show this week. I’ve been getting ready for this and uh excited about it and uh man, I’m excited about this big weekend. We’re going to get this party started in Coconut Grove. Then, of course, we got Canes and Notre Dame coming up on Sunday and then that we are a week away from the NFL season beginning. Gooseies on top of gooseies on top of gooseies. And yesterday the Miami Dolphins released their rivalry uniforms which I’m good with. You know I there was this like you remember the uh the old social media debate is a dress was it gold or blue or some some bull bleep like that and everybody was like it’s this it’s that. So we had this long are these black jerseys are they dark blue jerseys? Are they dark? So I guess they’re like dark waters blue. They’re the very darkest blue that you could be as far as blue. But I like them. I like I don’t like I’m not like oh my god. I feel like they’re a little busy, you know? I feel like they’re kind of all over the place with the colors like with the dark dark blue then the aqua then the orange. It’s kind of like I feel like they should have gone with like one. I like the like if they would have gone with the dark dark blue and just like the aqua lettering little cleaner. I think that would have looked good. Um I also just you know want I will say it’s the best that the uh the porpus SeaWorld logo has looked. I think that on the helmet the helmet looks really cool. The helmet kind of brings it all together. But uh it would be much better if it was old dolphin either even if it was 90s 2000 Dolphin. I just think it’d be a more badass look. But uh you know those will get going against the Jets. Everybody kind of released their things. I saw like on some ranking the Dolphins were like seven out of eight. Uh but they had the 49ers second and I thought those were were were terrible jerseys. You know, it’s like sometimes I like like I like the busy stuff. I appreciate risk. It’s like when the Heat did matchups. It’s like I like that idea. It was good. It wasn’t Vice, but it was good. you know, when you’re when you come up with like the Vice uniform, which is like one of the best uniforms out there, then everyone’s going to expect every one of your hits to come out there and and be a number one. And I was like, it was solid. Like, I’ll listen to this in the car, but, you know, I don’t know if this is going to be on the the number one countdown. It’s kind of like that. It’s like I I think the merch is going to look cool for it. Um, but I’m like I I I’m not But maybe on a night game, all the the the stuff with the backdrop, cool, you know? Will I buy that jersey? I think I’m gonna stick to the throwbacks. That’s probably where I go. Kind of reminds me of like the Marlins did with their City Connects this year with uh which are they’re cool. They’re cool. I I like they took a swing. I don’t like them as much as the old ones that were like the the red and the blue and that was like completely offthe-wall different for the Marlins. But uh you know it was it’s not like I hate the jerseys at all. Uh, one thing though that I probably irrationally hate is any quote that is coming from Jordan Ber. This guy, I mean, really just has a way to to to just make me furious because he’s returned to the Bills and recently he was being a little snippy on Instagram. He went on one of his mushroom Iawaska rainforest trips and loves to get high as a kite like like Aaron Rogers and go speak to the wolf gods and he was like getting cute on Instagram being like nobody wants a Dolphins jersey and I was annoyed by that. But then he’s like you know back with the Bills who obviously they love him and this is nothing against him and his toughness as a player. I know this is a man who drove around the country with broken ribs to play with his team. Um he’s, you know, has had a very strong career as a safety, but he did have a terrible season with the Miami Dolphins. And I don’t like the idea that the Dolphins have already been kicked a lot, you know, with with what happened last year. And it’s not even to say that it’s not deserved, okay? I I’m here to tell you like very clearly the Dolphins had a bit of a a cultural issue in their locker room. I believe uh Mrs. Pyer put some of that out into the ether on social media, which is fine, but it also doesn’t mean that Jordan Puyer didn’t play. And I think that’s one of the things that I just find bothersome is like you can have a good career. You can have a very illustrious career. You cannot like the way things are done with the Dolphins, but you could also have had a really really season. And for him to come out there and his quote yesterday on being with the Dolphins last quote last year, put an asterisk by it. It was a tough year all around. I’m not going to throw around anything of what went down over there, but at the same time, it was a hard year. And again, I’m just extremely thankful to be here. I just feel like I’ve got a left a lot left to prove to myself in this game and to the people around me. And I keep the receipts. And I’m just here to tell you what receipts aren’t warranted. He played terrible last season. Like, if we were sitting, he made no big plays for the Miami Dolphins. He blew it against Buffalo. He injured Jaylen Phillips after Jaylen Phillips had worked his ass off to come back. He came in like a like a a cruise missile and took out his knee and he got his hand stuck in somebody’s face. Those are the things I remember from Jordan Puyer’s career. And I’m trying to like I I will be with you like if if I heard this from Kas Campbell, I would be like damn. I mean, like, if anybody’s got the credibility to say it, it would be Kas because that dude balled the hell out last year. Even Jaylen Ramsey, it wasn’t Jaylen Ramsey’s best year, but he was still pretty damn solid. This guy stunk. And I just find it’s like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. That wasn’t my fault that I stunk. It was an put an asterisk by it. All the other stuff made me stink. And the other thing that I find funny about it is like, you know, this guy was out here the entire time being like, “Oh, I don’t I want I don’t want to play for a state that takes half my money.” He was like, for for a couple, if not three seasons, him and family members, being cute, liking stuff on social media, being cryptic. And look, I acknowledge I was like, “Oh, this is kind of cool. It’ be fun to take a guy I thought to be the heart and soul of the Buffalo Bills. turned out didn’t really matter cuz the Bills still waxed the Dolphins without him anyway. So, how much of a difference was he making? But look, I acknowledged that. I was like, “Hey, I meant getting Jordan Pery would be pretty pretty cool. It’d be cool to get the uh the ops.” Didn’t help at all, if not made it worse. The guy seemed like he was a fox in the hen house, a complete mole, and was was there to like almost destroy the Dolphins from within. That’s how bad it was. And now it’s like, “Oh, yeah. I I didn’t stink last year. Just put it little asterisk by that. I’m just like I’m not down with that, dude. I’m really I I’m I’m not here to uh to be I’m telling you, dude. Tua’s got some people. He He’s got to light some dudes up early on. Like I I don’t even know if Boyer’s going to play. I think he’s on the practice squad. But if he does get elevated, dude, you guys, you need to you need to carve him up. You need to car I cannot have a day I cannot have a few a first few weeks with Xavian Howard picking off the Dolphins and and Jordan Puyer making any kind of plays. This cannot happen. I mean, Tua, Tyreek, Wadd, Waller, if you’re ready, Devon Achan. Things need to happen here. Uh, speaking of the running backs, by the way, uh, I’m sure you guys saw Jaylen Wright looks like he’s going to be out for a little bit. He gets a procedure. The Dolphins bring back Jeff Wilson. Now, that’s a guy you can rely upon. Jeff Wilson, every time it seems like, ah, his playing time was taken away. You put him in there, dude would run his ass off and just play balls to the wall. Guy you can respect. Kendall Lamb, same way. Like Kendall Lamb was asked yesterday about the the whole culture thing. Remember Kendall Lamb got caught up in fake news? Uh I felt terrible about that. I like was reading stuff on the air. I was like, Kendall Lamb said this. Uh I had to come back the next day and be like, I got completely duped by this because I thought he gave a quote to ESPN. And then I was like, look at it. And I’m usually pretty good about like, all right, let me make sure, you know, because I know that stuff moves hot and heavy. My whole thing was, and this is why I got got, is I couldn’t imagine anybody faking a Kendall Lamb quote. And that’s the genius of it is like, you pick the most innocuous Dolphin, like their last year swing tackle, and he’s on the Eagles. And he’s like, “Oh, things are amazing here.” So, I got got and I felt bad about it because he had to come out and like put a statement out on Instagram being like, I didn’t say these things about, you know, how the how the Dolphins were behaving. And so he comes out yesterday actual, not AI. You can see his face and he’s just sitting here and he was he was like, “Yeah, you know, like I could see uh you know, guys are falling. They’re being professionals.” And you know, he goes, “I’m not a guy who’s going to be out here and and faking about how people are behaving.” Um that that he’s got a real honesty to him and that he sees a Dolphins team. Even in his first day, he was like, “It’s noticeable. It’s noticeable.” So, I thought that was pretty cool. Like, that’s I’m like, “Oh, you know, I’ll hear from that.” Not out here being like, “Oh, there’s an asterisk. Get out of here, dude. An asterisk. You high as a kite. This is crazy. It’s crazy.” I was sitting there yesterday. I was at the weigh-ins. Speaking of crazy, and that Micah Parson’s news came out and I was like, man, people are people are people were going pretty bananas over that. You know, the strange thing that I had, people were like comparing it to the Luca trade. And I was sitting here being like, well, I mean, two things were going to happen. He was very obviously going to get traded or he was going to get the biggest contract. Like only it was we only had two options, right? Like, and so I don’t know why people were stunned. I think people were stunned because Jerry Jones like gave away just a generation of talent. You know, he got a couple of picks and uh a defensive tackle everybody that he seems very fired up because we can we can stop the run. But um I don’t understand why people thought this was like Michael Parsons put out a very uh detailed statement about why he was done with the Dallas Cowboys and he seemed pretty serious about it and Jerry Jones seemed pretty hurt and Jerry Jones was doing the podcast tour for his Cowboys thing. I think the only hope was that there was going to be an EMTT Smith situation and you know they would stink and they would need him. But I don’t think the Cowboys are going to be very good with him or without him anyway. So, I actually don’t think I don’t think this is that terrible a move for them because I think uh much like the Dolphins, they’re kind of in a spot where like, hey, we need to we’re we’re very clearly behind somebody in our division. It’s interesting seeing the parallels because, you know, we had that Christmas Eve matchup. Um, and I think that, you know, I think people probably look at Tua and they see a lot of Dak Prescott and Tua and they’re like, “Yeah, you know, like and is your if your ceiling is Dak Prescott, are you ever going anywhere?” So, I think there’s a there’s there’s some mirrors of the Dolphins and the uh and the Cowboys. Obviously, the Cowboys more prestigious in the 90s, but you know, have not done a whole hell of a lot of of the real the real winning more than the Dolphins, but everybody has. Um, but I was like, why are people so shocked by this? Like, it was very obvious that he seemed like this was like two things were going to happen. Jerry Jones either going to make him the richest man in football or he was serious and they were going to move on. Um, maybe that they felt like he wasn’t going to get enough. I’m honestly surprised I got multiple first round picks when everybody knew that they had to give him the biggest contract ever and that the Cowboys are rats off a ship on him. So, I don’t know, man. Wasn’t too shocking to me that uh that that that uh that news popping down. But, um I get it. It’s the Cowboys. They they garner a lot of headlines. That h that is how it is. But, uh man, Jerry Jones, he I I like was watching this press conference and he was like calling him Michael a hundred times. I’m Michael. I you know Michael was good but we couldn’t stop the run. I’m like man the old aren’t very good with names.
