Top MLB Plays of 9/22/25 (Jacob Young’s juggling catch, Chapman’s barehanded play and more!)
Line drive. Hassan Kim reaches up to grab it. That big oven mitt’s going to stay in the back pocket here. Good line drive. Good piece of hitting but to the wrong place. Going to come in on this one. Oh my goodness. He got it. Oh, he did it again. Did it pop up and then he got up before it hit the ground? He did it again. Goodness gracious, Jacob Young. I mean, this is just incredible. [Music] Come on. You can’t do that two days in a row. He does it so easily. You’re like, “Wait, what? How? This is not possible.” On one bounce, Kim to Allen to Olson. 643 to end the top of the six. Little dribbler. Lander will flip it and they got him. De’s jumped up and got his foot on the bag in time. Jam shot. Damus is coming home. And now they got So Jay-Z in a rund down out there. And guess what? Out there ball to Adamus. It goes 62 and the run back from Bailey is perfect. Chapman puts a tag on then he rifles a strike over to Casey Schmid and guess what? There’s Jordan Walker and it’s a 625 four double play. High bouncer. They got him. Wow. They laughing about it and that’s exactly what you were hoping to see after the fact. This is a really difficult angle and I didn’t think he was going to get there. It’s impressive that he did. Nick Allen to the other side of the bag. Another great stretch from Matt Olsen. Just a matter of whether or not he’s on the bag there. Really good play by Nick Allen and a nice stretch over there from Matt Olsen as well. Well, he’s going to beat this out. They got him. It’s just hard to explain how good that is and how difficult it is. So, we just assume it’s going to get it’s he’s going to beat it out. And Chapman says, “Uh-uh.” Kim up the ladder, takes one away from Young. What a defensive ending this turned out to be for the Atlanta Braves. And even Kim looks shocked. What do we say, Joe? Joe Wah great play outside and Schmidz’s got it. That’s full extension to a high backhander. That’s all he’s got. That one squid toward left. Bailey around first on his way to second. Newbar got to it quickly to throw on the money and in time. Bailey with a single thrown out by Nbar. And there’s your first down. Hit high into left center field and tracking it down. Here’s Gilbert. He can go get him on the ground. Terra with a slide. Gets up and throws him out. I tell you, Andrew Vaughn is starting to learn the range of Bryce Tang. Smartly just decided to go to the first base bag and Tang doing his thing. Yell lines one to left field. Diving left is Bryce Johnson. Makes the catch. Johnson lays it out and robs Yelich. Out number one.
