But let’s get to this one between the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies. For the Philadelphia Phillies, it’s Christopher Sanchez listed as the starter in this one. While the Miami Marlins will counter with Edward Cabrera, it’s the first time we’re seeing Edward Cabrera in the better part of about three weeks. I mean, we saw uh Cabrera last as a starter on August 30th. He gave up six runs, five earned on eight hits on the road against the New York Mets. And if you look at Edward Cabrera on the road this season, he’s been less effective. A 4.47 ERA across 11 road starts, a 259 opponent’s batting average compared to a sub3 erra at home across 13 home starts. So I still have my concerns with Cabrera in that regard. Um, and there could be some potential rust here. On the other side, you’ve got the Philadelphia Phillies sending out Christopher Sanchez who is coming off a bit of a rough start against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was seven innings of four-run ball. gave up a pair of home runs at Dodger Stadium, but it still ended up being a win for the Philadelphia Phillies in that game. And Sanchez this season has just been outstanding. One of the more underrated pitchers in Major League Baseball in my opinion, underappreciated, I should say. 6-0, a 2.22 ERA across 13 starts at Citizens Bank, a 210 opponent’s batting average, and in four career starts against the Miami Marlins, a 0.62 ERA. faced him twice this season, both in Miami where he’s, like I said, been less effective this year. Went 15 innings, gave up a combined two runs, one run in each of those starts. Got the win in both. And a lot of that stems from the fact that while this is an improved Miami Marlins team that is only four games below 500, which is still a little bit, I would say surprising, but maybe it just means that the Miami Marlins just showed some fight down the stretch. They’ve won six straight, nine of 10 entering Monday’s action. The fact of the matter is is that, you know, they’ve still been a team that has struggled against left-handed pitching for the better part of the season. You look at their numbers in the month of September. They have stepped it up a sub 20%, actually sub 17% strikeout rate against left-handed pitching. If you zoom into the last two weeks where they’ve been playing some fantastic baseball, they’re actually the best team in baseball against lefties, hitting 324 with a team OPS of 941, which is far and away the best mark in baseball. I just still have my concerns about uh about Miami against a guy like Christopher Sanchez who is fully capable of facing tough lineups and going six, seven solid innings. Like I said, he’s already faced the Miami Marlins back on September 5th and uh held them to just one run over seven innings a 93 Miami vic excuse a 9-3 Philadelphia victory. So, as much as I like what the Marlins are doing right now, I don’t think they’re going to win every game. I think the Phillies are still trying to show some fight here. So, I I’m gonna I’m gonna go with the Phillies on the run line in this one. Not when I’m rushing to bet right away. I might do a little bit more digging, see if it does end up making the premium card. Um because I do like Christopher Sanchez and this matchup against Miami. But like I said, the Miami Browns are playing some solid baseball right now. But still, I’m going to roll with the Phillies on the run line in this one and that’s going to be my free pick.
