Last year we got some pretty juicy bits that ended up being true (not just coach speak) in this media session
Specifically, that Mobley will bring it up if he rebounds the ball
In this session, Koby said Mobley will be playing as an offensive Hub (think Draymond in GS, or KLove in Minny, Mobley will get the ball at the elbow and shoot/pass/drive) to pick up the playmaking with DG out, the kid has great vision and now he’s going to get to show it off.
If Mobley can also start hitting elbow / high post jumpers he’s going to leap into the ‘best young player in the league’ conversation and things like all nba and all star will become after thoughts
Last year was great for Mobley getting to play like a PF instead of the extra C JB played him as, now if we can get him running the offense from the high post he’s going to become a super star
Lastly i’m very excited to see Larry Nance Jr back with the team, great glue guy and major upgrade to our backup centers over the past few years (best since at least Javale McGee)
