With the 44th pick of the 2022 MLB draft, the Pittsburgh Pirates select Hunter Barco, a left-handed pitcher from the University of Florida. I’m excited just to stand out in that circle out in the middle of the mound and compete with the best of the best and be one of the best. No matter what happens between the lines, I’m going to always give my best and do whatever I can to help the Pirates win. just get after it. That that’s what I’ve worked my entire life for and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’m excited to compete.
