A bad season for the Rays? Hardly. It was historically disappointing

It’s been a tough year but I like this team a lot going forward.
Lazy article. They must have not watched the 2024 season. That had actual historic lows.
you know your team is good when a .500 season is considered “historically disappointing”
The AL East is currently the only division in baseball with three teams winning at least 85 games. The division became brutal again this year, and combine that with our stadium situation, our lower budget, minimal action at the deadline and you have a season that wasn’t disappointing, just moderately expected in my opinion.
Unless you watched this slop from 98-2007 dont speak.
We had shots to do something good this year and it just didnt work out. Alot to like here.
They were homeless and had to play at the Yankees minor league park and still managed to make it exciting for a bit. Absolutely not historically disappointing. Add in an ownership change and a legit shot at a new stadium, things are looking up.
Need better hitting and get back to being a top 5 bullpen and top 5 defensive team if we want to compete at the top of the AL East in the near future.
The Rays needed a lot to break right for them this season to make a playoff run while they had some things go in their favor (Cammy and Aranda breaking out) on the whole it just didn’t happen. From the stadium stuff which has completely thrown our pitchers out of whack, the outfield and catcher spots being total black holes, the Kim deal not working out at all.
