[Music] What is up insiders? It is hockey season. The Leafs are back. We are back here on TSI and I’m fired up to be hanging out with you guys for at least a few minutes during the pregame. Our Buds taking on the Senators in the second of back-to-back preseason games. Of course, our Leafs coming off the nice win. A beautiful start to the preseason. The young kids head over to Ottawa and get it done. Great to see everybody here in the chat. Dawson Walters, Goth, what’s up? Goth. Billy F. Go Leafs go. Connor, will Mike make the deadline? Yes, I made the deadline. Sorry that my daughter was playing a volleyball game. It ran late and uh so here we are. So we’re just uh we’re bringing bringing the fans together here. Lisa Aello, great to see you. Daniel Barry, Kyle Barklay, this is awesome. So great to see the familiar faces here on TSI. Things are a little different now uh since everything happened. Uh it is what it is, so we have to make do. Uh, but we’re going to talk a little bit about the game and uh before we head our separate ways to uh find a stream of the game wherever it may be because I do know that there are plenty of uh of streams out there where you can find the game. Uh so there you go. Glad to glad to see you, Kyle, and glad I’m back. Hey, you know, I wish I was back with the uh with the radio playing. It’s Joe Bowen’s last season. Uh this is just I mean it’s just crazy. I’m I’m going to be listening to the games. I try watching them. Uh we’ll try and do some playbyplay as things go. But uh look at this roster here for the Leafs tonight. A heavy heavy NHL roster. I love it. You love to see the Leafs coming out to make a statement in the opening preseason game. Uh look at look at the lineup here. East Cowan, obviously you all know insiders, we all love Eastn Cowan. And a huge shout out once again to Eastston for helping out and Joe Bowen uh last season and before uh it’s been absolutely awesome the uh the help that they did to grow this amazing community and now we’re back in uh in mode where we figure out where to go from here and get creative. So I was like I got to get live here and bring everybody in to chat it up. Let us know your predictions for the game in the chat. Who do you think is going to be the shining star for the Maple Leafs tonight? As I go through the the roster here, we’ll uh I’ll give you my click or my pick to click tonight. Uh I’ve got to go look at this lineup here. You got uh Dakota Joshua, Matthew Ny, Scott Lton, Steven Lorren, Matias Melli, Austin Matthews, Bobby McCann, Willie Knander, Nick Robertson, Johnny Toronto, Captain JT. I love it. Love it. Uh there is Brandon Carlo on D, Ben Danford, OEL, Jake McCabe, Morgan Riley, and Chris Tanv. This is as close to the starting lineup, I think, as you’re going to see Leafs fans all season long. Uh this is a this is a strong strong lineup. So, I love it. My My pick to go off tonight, I think, let us see it in the chat. Who do you think is going to be the player to watch for the Maple Leafs here? I’m going to say it is I’m going with Matias Meli. I think that young man has a lot to prove uh since coming over from the Mammoth, Utah Mammoth in a trade. Uh and his stats over the past couple seasons, he was starting to break out as a young prospect and then he had a bit of a setback last year. Uh last year’s stats, 55 games, played eight goals and 10 assists, minus 13. But hey, we’re talking about Utah there. So, uh, right, um, you look back at his career stats and, uh, takes you to the Arizona Coyotes. That’s where he started his career. First couple of seasons with them, uh, and then really his best season. There’s Ryan T. Welcome to Insider, Ryan T, my man. Thank you for the amazing support. Uh, but I want to talk a little bit about the line combinations on kind of the projections on what we think we’ll see for opening night in just a few weeks. My god, October, what is it? October 7th, 8th, 9th. Usually the first week of October, second week of October. It’s coming up quick, but where is that stinking thing? Get off of there roster. There it is. Okay, so this is according to Daily Face Off. This is like their draft uh their draft kit for fantasy hockey and whatnot. So they’ve got the lines as you see right over there. Matthew Ny, your starting left wing with Austin Matthews and then right wing of Matias Meli. Uh I think Meli is going to have a great game tonight. I think this kid’s got a lot to prove. He’s got a lot of potential coming up through the ranks. should be able to uh to light it up tonight with a star-studded NHL roster at the Scotia Bank Arena. All right, there we got uh Bobby McCann on the left, John Tvaris and Willie Knander. Willie Knander leading goal scorer, 45 goals last season. I can’t wait to see what he does this year because it is going to be absolutely amazing. I think he’s going to take off starting tonight. I think you’re going to see a great game from him as well. My our center Mila, she um she dove to get a ball like really far from underneath like the net where like you can’t cross and out of bounds and um he said that she crossed the line. So, and he was like 95 years old. So, like Wow. All right. So, there’s your update from the volleyball game. Uh, because that is my life right now, guys, is these kids sports all the time. I think we’ll see him playing well tonight, too. Um, against the Senators, which I don’t expect much from the Senators. They’re just not they’re not what they’re not that good. Let’s be serious. And it’s the preseason, so they’re bringing less than a full squad. Um, but hey, look what the Leafs did in Ottawa just a couple days ago.
