exactly. I think we all knew we werent going to be “competitive” this season (at minimum).
I guess the biggest issue for most fans is the unnecessary penalties and not having that eagerness to really play the game and less about the loss in itself.

The vocal minority is just that. People live to complain about everything. Everyone knew that this season was going to be a rebuilding year. Every post on this sub was about how we needed to lose every game to get the #1 pick and now all of a sudden the tone changed and we are supposed to be contenders? Everyone won’t always be happy. The people that posted that we need to tank are not the same doomers in here saying we need to sell the team.
The lions had cap space, and drafted well with rebuilding the trenches. Our trench picks are dog shit and we have no cap space.
I always thought his second year would be the biggest tell of who he is as a coach. If the team is playing hard early next season and looks like they are on the come up, then stick with Kellen. But if there’s still games like Seattle happening you gotta consider all options.

Campbell’s Lions should also tell everyone that it is possible to rebuild in a few seasons. Like you go look at that 2020 team and the cupboard was pretty bare. I mean they still Stafford to trade which was obviously significant and a few other guys but the previous years of high draft picks had not yielded a significant amount of young talent. So whenever I see people being like it’ll take 3-5 years to rebuild at minimum I roll my eyes because that’s only true if we keep fucking up at a high rate. Which we might, but then it’s on the people making decisions, because it is by no means impossible to turn the ship around in two years.
If there’s someone here calling for the return of Dennis Allen I don’t think you even need to acknowledge their opinion

Moore needs to stop calling plays like he has elite players on this team and rather schematicly dial up some creative ways to move the ball.
In all seriousness… do people actually expect that we are going to win games this year? We are the underdogs every week. I myself will not judge Moore until at least year 3… I knew this year would be a throw away. Next year I think we will see some improvement, but I still don’t think we are really competitive. Year 3 is where I feel we get back to competitive. We are at the bottom now… the very bottom… a full rebuild from ground zero will take a while.
I’m trusting the process.
