Okay, this one warmed my heart. So, Jaylen Brown tweeted out one day: "how can I meet Bill Nye the Science Guy." No big show, just genuine curiosity. Weeks later, boom, they meet after a Celtics game. Then, Brown does more than just say hello, he starts showing up in projects pushing STEM, even launches a performance line with science‑themes. Fast forward to September 2025, and Jaylen is on stage at Bill Nye’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction making this speech that’s so real. He thanks Bill Nye for making school feel fun and being someone who picks up a call when others wouldn’t.

I love how this whole thing shows that big names can still be fans, still be curious. And that being public doesn’t always mean glitz sometimes it’s about being inspired by someone else’s work.

Do you think more athletes should use their platform this way, following passion & curiosity instead of just doing endorsement stuff?

  1. Bill Nye went on TV and talked about Deflategate saying that TB and the Patriots definitely deflated balls and the science backs that up. Never mentioned Natural Gas Law once and is a life long Seattle Seahawks fan.

Thanks for the TV show as a kid and all that but screw him lying like that.

  2. Wholesome. Love it. Bill inspired thousands, probably way more. For the patriots fans that want to downvote this. Go post it in that forum and go to town on it. Im a life long celtics and patriots fan. This ain’t the place. This is the celtics sub.
