Houston Astros vs Oakland Athletics – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 23, 2025 MLB Season
We’ve had some bright lights on. We’ll blame Jeff Plum and we’ll move on. Sit down, Plumber. Let’s go. That’s what Jeffrey Spring says. Throws in the fist first pitch for a strike against José Altuve. August when the Tigers visited here in West in the air for Jose Altuve to right. Carlos Cortez will head towards center make the catch. Well, the fair here in Sacramento. Things did not go well for him last time. Chopped to second and Renee hurts too. 2-1 lifted in the air out towards center. It’s shallow enough that Jacob Wilson will make the catch quick for Jeffrey Springs. Well, the dish has had a lot of success and right away it’s going to be a ground ball into right field right inside the line. Nick G setting up to second. Here’s the throw and the slide in as the ball bounces away. Nick Curts continuing to kill the Houston Astros. Curtsy, no waiting around and especially a guy who is starting to getting a lot of experience and getting more and more comfortable at the top of this lineup. Jenny, if he gets a pitch early, he has not been afraid to let the hands fly. Tucking this one just inside the line and I think maybe got away with the fact that they were not able to handle the ball there cleanly at second by 3-2 again, this time in the field of play. Altuve will go back and get the fly ball. Javier delivers the one, two at strike three. Sweeper got Sodrom looking. Sodrom reviewing that last pitch. This one popped up skyhigh. Charging in will be all the infielders. It’s got to be the pitcher fielding it. He doesn’t find it. Nick Cook scores. It’s one to nothing. It seemed in position to make a play on this. Javier standing on the mound hoping, really waiting for somebody to come and take charge of this. And a swing and a miss. So Butler down on three pitches. And that will end the first, but not before Nick Kurts taking advantage of scoring on an error. On base. This one chopped and it’s going to get past the glove of Harris and Wilson as well into left field and on is Christian Walker. Didn’t get a chance to settle in too much to his last outing at Boston. This is a ground ball that’ll be pass Jacob Wilson into left. So first and second now with nobody out for Houston most in baseball to the Dodgers. Payoff pitch missing high. It’ll load the bases. A lot of fans excited. Mama was proud. Swinging a miss and Jeffrey Springs with a big strike out here. Here’s the 2-2 hammered out towards left field, but pausing for the catch will be Sodrom. That’ll bring in the tying run and a sacrifice fly for Cam Smith. Makes it one all. Here’s the pitch to swing a miss. Duban with the strike out to end the threat. All tied up at one as we go to the bottom of second. Swung on in the air for her and Alu is going to get called off as Cam Smith comes running in to make strike three. You can hear the booms coming out. It looked just below the zone, but it’ll be the third strike out for Javier. This one belted out towards left. Going to meet it’ll be Zack Cole. Three up, three down for the Astros. We’ll move to the third. Tied at one. All tied up at one. The Astros began the night on the outside looking in a half game out of the wildard race in the American League. Popped up. This will stay in the infield and Jacob Wilson will call for it. One gone. Doesn’t exist. That’s a great point. Popped up once again. That pole shoots it in the sky on the right side and Hern will have to work around. Learn even more information. Two- two from Springs and it gets Cam Smith swinging. Three up, three down for Jeffrey. Two-1 from Javier and that’s ripped out into left field. Jacob Wilson will have extra bases. He heads to second. A one out double for Jacob Wilson. Renee serving this one out towards the gap. It could get down. It does. In comes Jacob Wilson and the A’s take a two to one lead. Daryl Hern getting the job done with a runner in scoring position and two outs. Daryl will take off on the pitch. Here it is in the air. Lifted out to right field and Cam Smith will give way to the center fielder Jake Buyers for the catch. scored in the fourth off of a Daryl Hernese RBI single lifted in the air on the left side and Brett Harris traveling into foul territory make the catch one guy. That’s a good tasty treat on a warm night. This one chopped short and Jacob Wilson to Kurts. Here’s the pitch to center field and Lawrence Butler there to catch the line drive. A quick one, two, three. 3-2 to Harris. Harris connects, belts this out to left, and it’s going to go off the wall. Extra bases for Brett Harris to open up the fifth as that ball dribbles in. He rounded second. Thinking about it, six home runs for Nick Curts here in the month of September with six games to go. A swing and a miss as Christian Javier gets him for the first out. Shay Langalers puts a swing on one to left. Chasing it is Zack Cole and he’ll make the catch. Moving up is Brett Harris. The throw comes in and this is fired off into center field. It’s going to bounce to the wall. Here comes the run in Harris and Sodrom with an RBI double to make it three to one. Here’s the O2 and that’s going to get down the first baseline into right field. Coming home will be a run in Soder Strumm and to third goes Brent Rooker. 4-1 A’s popped up Carlos Kare into foul territory and he’ll make the final out at the hands of the pitchers for the Athletics. Right on Q and to the left side. Brett Harris trying to catch up to Jacob Wilson in the amount of popups he’s caught today. Pretty good pitch from Tyler Ferguson. gets the strike out. Two gone. They’re nervous. To center field on the move is Lawrence Butler. And he’s going to be met by Soders for the catch. Has a tendency to hit it a long way this time. Unfortunately, striking out against Steven Ochert. Seen some cool apparel around two. One and0 here for Shay Langalers with one out. Langelers fly ball to center field. Jake Myers with the catch. Two outs. Four game sweep. He extended the home stand here. It’s been a fivegame win streak. Looking for number six straight against these Astros. Grand recorder pops out to Carlos Koreah. Las Vegas. Good to see Denzel on the men. This one chopped to third. Harris to second. On to first. Double play on Q. You got to close the gap and go get this high hopper from Altuve. He slings it over to Daryl quickly and on the pivot. Hern with a great throw. But it starts with Harris charging this ball and then getting rid of it quickly and accurately. Hern with a strong throwing arm himself over there at the pivot. Here’s the one two popped up once again. The defense going to work. This time Lawrence Butler gets involved. Runner left on as we’ll go to the bottom of the eighth with Wilson up. Renee swearing around to bunt. He gets it down. Sacrifice complete. Wilson moves to third. Butler to second. Lifted in the air pass the infield into center field. Charging in will be Meyers. Here comes the runner home and Jacob Olsen. The throw off the mark. It’s five to one as Lawrence Butler moves up 90 ft as well. Here’s the 2-2 for Harris and the fountain tip will end the inning. One more comes across the A’s with a four-run advantage over the Astros to the ninth. One, two, liner to left. Coming in is Soders. One out. Ground ball chopped. Curts will head over towards the second base position and throw it to Kelly for the second out. see them in the postseason. Here’s the O2. A swing and a miss. Myers goes down. Michael Kelly with the strike out and shake hands. 5 to one the final. and spoilers tonight for the green and

R.I.P Astros 2025 season. 🎻
As a mariners fan this was awesome
Correct me if I'm wrong… we are just one Mariners W away or one Astros L away from seeing a new AL West champion after 8 years?
Just focus on beating athletics and angels, still in good shape because Detroit plays Cleveland 2x and Boston 3x so you will gain ground on one or two of these teams to get in playoffs! 4-2 record should do it cause Astros have no tiebreaker over the others.
Way to go A's !! I hope they sweep ..f8nish strong..next year is our year as long as we get pitching..trade severino please while u can still get some decent players for him…he dont wanna be there a anyways…pl3ase keep core players..rooker ,shea ,tyler, butler ,kurtz, wilson…
But before moving to the dry Nevada , let's help the Northern West Coast team
Thanks from Seattle
