[Kierszenblat] Former Canucks Defenceman Hirose Signs In Germany

  1. Guy looked great in the few games he played, I’ll always remember that insane stretch pass from behind the net to send I think miller on a breakaway in probably his first or second game.

I never watched him in abby, what went wrong? From what I remember his few games it felt like he could’ve been an nhl regular in a few years. Was he just not developing? Size issue?

  2. I believe his brother also plays in Germany… soooo… in other words “Canucks left handed defenceman leaves Canucks in quest to play with his brother”

  3. He looked real good in the playoffs last year, I’m sure he will carve out a pro hockey career, even if it’s over seas

  4. Good pickup for the Penguins. Fun fact, also playing on this team is Canucks legend Alex Friesen.

Former Canucks to have played for the Penguins include Justin Kurtz, 1997 4th Rounder Chris Stanley…. and Jake Virtanen.

  5. I’m still waiting for the Jett Woo hype to pull through. Remember he was supposed to be a huge hitter.
Also Klimovich- he was touted as the Belarusian Ovechkin.
I heard he had 25 goals last year so maybe there’s hope?

  6. Hirose, McDonagh, and Detective McWard…. they were the rando end of season signings by Allvin and were supposed to be the future 😭

    Only Sasson remains 😈
