Maybe I’m crazy but I think that is preventable and needs to be addressed by the league in general.
A bit scary but happens occasionally.
Happened in England recently (ish – years ago actually wow), similar looking thing where the skate flew up after a hit, very different outcome for Adam Johnson though. Glad Slafkovsky is OK.

Man, these guys need to start wearing neck guards. I don’t know if it’s because it just on my mind but I see so many situations in games now where guys could get cut. It’s like everyone forgets these guys have super sharp steak knifes on their feet.
