Certainly it wasn’t the Reds team or organization!!
I doubt Milwaukee needs to win 1 or 2 of their final games. They have a 3 game lead on the Phillies and can essentially end any chance Philly has at a number 1 seed with a win and a Philly loss. They’d be dumb to risk their starters, especially starting pitching on meaningless games. I think we really need to hope for some Milwaukee wins. If we can’t beat their bench players we don’t deserve to get in any way.
We can start by benching Matt McDoublePlay

Shades of 1999. I was at County Stadium in Milwaukee for the must-win final game that the Reds lost. The loss forced them into a 1-game playoff against the Mets, that they lost by 7 runs.
I’m fully prepared to lose the next 3 and be mathematically eliminated
