  1. The Yankees not having a losing season since 1992 is insanely remarkable. Even for good teams, and good franchises, you can easily deal with a major injury or fluke season that has your team under .500. Not to mention, the necessary rebuild that occurs after losing a bunch of good players.

Crazy stuff that brews the type of arrogant fanbase they have. Can’t really blame them though.

  2. The AL East isn’t “in play”.

The Yankees are going to win the AL East barring some kind of monumental choke, because the Jays suck and have completely imploded without Bo Bichette in the lineup.

It is all but guaranteed. I’m already mentally prepared for another WC series sweep, which is pretty likely given how pathetic our offense has been.

  3. Schwarber is not winning MVP over Shohei. He’s having a great season, but truthfully he hasn’t even been as good as Shohei *as a DH*, not even factoring in that Shohei also threw 47 innings with a 2.87 ERA and 62 strikeouts—basically an elite middle reliever’s worth of production on the mound in his rehab year from Tommy John.

Tbh you could argue Schwarber has been only the second best player on his own team after Trea Turner. The only reason we’re pretending this is some kind of “race” for MVP is so media can have something to write about. It will be Shohei, and the only reason its not a lock to be unanimous would be voter fatigue.
