Training Camp 2025 | Conor Geekie

Obviously first day of training camp, but I remember last year you were talking about how much you learned going to Syracuse and then you got a chance to play up here in the playoffs. Anything that you worked on in particular this summer to kind of get ready for return camp this year? Yeah, uh I think uh like I again I worked a lot with Barb and Randy. Um you know went to Toronto with them for a little bit for a week or so. Um you know kind of taking tips and tricks from them and then came down here a little earlier to work with them as well. But again, I think just trying to get comfortable again. Um, you know, like I said, Syracuse was a big help and, um, you know, trying to be confident with the puck and, you know, that’s when I’m at my best. So, um, again, working out obviously faster, stronger, the the usuals. But, uh, again, just trying to focus on my skating and, uh, you know, really hone that in. We didn’t really get to talk to you too much after the playoffs, but what was that experience like for you? That was your first your first time. Yeah, it was awesome. I loved it. um you know say I play a bit of a heavier game so it kind of was right up my alley but um like I said it didn’t end the way we wanted and I think it uh you know brings a lot of hunger in kind of to this group this year and uh again it’s kind of just going to be uh you know little chip on our shoulder to start the year for sure. What do you think of day one out there on the ice? Yeah, it’s good. I think it’s good to be back. I think it’s good to you know have some jokes with the guys. The the competitive level is definitely there. I think uh like I said, we’re playing with a chip on our shoulder and uh you know, I can’t wait for the rest of the week and the rest of training camp for sure.
