Raptors Making Moves… This Development is Absolutely PERFECT | Raptors News
The Toronto Raptors are making moves as training camp is just about a week away and Bobby Webster is putting the final touches on the roster as we enter this new season. So, we’ll discuss that, including some very, very exciting developments regarding one of the Raptors most interesting young players out here on this team and the work he’s been putting in the summer to take his game to the next level, which has Raptors fans very amped up. So, we’re going to break down all these stories, including some more out here in this video. But before we do, I want to make a little announcement. We are looking for NFL creators. Whether you’re a fan of the Bills, the Steelers, whatever team it is, we are looking for folks that if you like Raptor side, just this style of content to create this exact style of content out there for your favorite NFL team. So, we have a link down below. Let us know what teams you’re interested in covering and we can definitely take a look at you to become a creator for one of these NFL teams, especially with NFL season right back rolling here now at this point. So definitely check out the link down in the description below. You can join the Digis Media team and uh cover your favorite football team out there on a daily basis or any sports team. We’re looking for a lot of different creators across the space, but specifically the NFL right now. So uh with that out of the way, let’s dive into the news because frankly we have a lot of stuff to sink our teeth into in this one. The first thing we’re taking a look at is former Raptors Allstar getting a serious injury. And this one sucks to see. It sucks to start off this video with, but former Toronto Raptor, a guy that won an NBA championship with us, Fred Van Vleet, is now dealing with a serious injury in a season that was very well anticipated in terms of him trying to get back and win another championship with that Houston Rocket squad. As news came out today that uh Houston Rocket or the past couple days, Houston Rockets star point guard Fred Van Vleet has suffered a torn ACL and could miss the entirety of the 2526 season. sources have told ESPN on Monday. He suffered the injury in a recent offseason workout. Sources told ESPN and this just sucks. You know, obviously Fred’s not on the team anymore, so I won’t dive in the analysis and stuff how it affects the Houston Rockets, but that team was supposed to be very, very competitive. Kevin Durant just brought to the team. Of course, Fred Vanble KD have that history, you know, facing off against NBA Finals. Fred, of course, in the Raptors. Katie at the time on the Golden State Warriors. They were getting into it a little bit and then gained that mutual respect. Katie said a lot of positive things about him. those two on that team. I was excited to see how things will play out. I know Fred Vanble left a little bit of a sour taste in some people’s mouths this season, but or when he left in his final season with the Toronto Raptors, but of course, always rooting for Fred Vanble. I’m uh you know, happy to see him thrive and getting that contract this summer. But, you know, sucks to see him dealing with this injury and you know, we’ll see where Houston goes from there, but wishing a speedy recovery for Fred Van Vleet. Let’s dive into some more specifically Raptor ccentric news here now at this point as we have an update that is extremely exciting for this man’s development as Shamsh of course is one of the more interesting players out there on this Toronto Raptors roster. A guy that in the G-League last season really t took his game into someone that was extremely raw out there on the basketball court. questions about how things would play out would develop and became a player that was very very uh he was a serious menace out there on the basketball court especially on the defensive end. So uh in uh you know his season with the Raptors 905 you know 19 games played averaged 25 minutes per night average eight points per game shot 55% of the field and the really exciting stats in this one is how he average you know just 25 minutes a night nine rebounds and three blocks per game. This dude was a menace on the defensive end. you watch him play, he had speed, he had quickness, he had every intangible that you’re looking for athletically from a big man in terms of what upside they can bring, especially on both ends of the floor. Or Shamshay is a guy that really has Toronto Raptors fans. Of course, it’s a boomer bus prospect. there’s a chance he never really develops and comes into his own as a basketball player. But if things click, if the development works and, you know, he gets those opportunities with this team, that is going to be a recipe for success and extremely upside, high upside for this Raptor squad. And now we’re getting some developments that have Raptors fans even more excited as basically uh news has come out that he has been putting in work with former Toronto Raptor, another former NBA champion for another NBA champion for the Toronto Raptors, Serge Ibaka out here in the offseason. And given Sergy Bodka’s, you know, just personality, he’s a leader out there in the locker room when he was with this team and his, you know, high IQ instincts out there on the defensive end. This man really just knew where to be out there on, you know, help weak side defense, you know, pulling over whether he was the four or the five of the Toronto Raptors. Just really knew how to be a rim protector. Really knew how to be effective out there on both ends of the court. Sergy Baka was a guy that, you know, of course had a lot of athleticism, had a lot of just raw talent, the same way Olar Shamsh does, but had an extremely high IQ on the defensive end, which made him a guy that especially in his prime prime years of his career, you know, always in the conversation for DPO and him getting his hands out there on Olar Shamsh who have a similar build, have similar high upside athletically. This is very, very exciting. if you are a Toronto Raptors fan to look at uh you know Shamsh being taken to the wing because the Raptors of course have Yaka Purle who is a very nice veteran to have in the locker room to mentor a guy like Shamshay you know all the little things and the defensive instinct stuff you know out there on uh you know on this team and that’s what you need if you want to have competitive roster vets that can trade the young guys but of course Yaka Purle is a very different you know build different athletic archetype than Shamshi so you know having a guy like Sergy Baka who does have that Roth lizard that blocks a ton of shots that can do all these different things out there. Being that guy to mentor Ola Shamsh is huge for this Toronto Raptors team and is exactly the voice you want in Shamsh’s ear to take his game to the next level. So of course things still have to come in their own raw potential can only be filled. These guys start working all that Sergey Baka is the guy that you want in Shamsh’s air to take his game to the next step. I mean, a guy that was still learning the defensive scheme, still learning all this stuff that Julie putting up stats like this, you know, three blocks per game, nine rebounds, eight points per night, dealt with an injury the back half last year. Didn’t get to see him in summer league, but did get to see him in some Didn’t get to see him, you know, in the Raptor side if I push at the end. It’s uh it’s positive to see. And Shamshay’s coming to his own. I’m very very interested because you we look at the Toronto Raptors roster this season, how things are looking. Of course, Yaka Purle is the main guy out there in our center depth. Mamu Kelleri who has had some very encouraging performances out there in Euro basket is pegged to be the backup five but you know Shamshi is really that only main lob threat crazy athletic guy that we have at that center spot so uh you know there’s going to be an opportunity for him to get some run to get some play especially if there are injuries this season so hopefully Shamsh can take his game to the next level and get in that role so exciting stuff there you know with his uh development steps in that direction but the last thing we’re taking a look at out here in this video is the Toronto Raptors making some moves. Now, this is something that we were an interesting spot as Raptors fans wondering what was going on with this whole entire situation. As earlier this summer, it was reported that the Toronto Raptors were going to be bringing in this man Tyson Deenheart uh as you a guy that was on exhibit 10 contract got some training camp stuff and then we never really heard much on it since. He was a part of the Toronto Raptors uh summer league team and honestly didn’t get a lot of runs, didn’t get a lot of opportunities with uh you know what like being out there on the court. You can see him in the 15th number out there on the summer league stats. You only played in those three games 1.9 minutes per night. So it’s really you can’t take anything away in terms of uh you know actual impact on the court when you’re only getting one minute per game. Not going to really you could look at the stats and stuff you nothing too crazy there. Underappointed. So some people like okay will he actually be a part of the team? not be didn’t get an opportunity, you know, to really play out there in summer league. What’s the deal? Well, we got confirmation in terms of what’s going on here now at this point as the Toronto Raptors have signed Tyson Deenheart as an exhibit 10 contract that was reported back at summer league and now made official for training camp. So, uh, yes, he was on the Toronto Raptor summer league team. Yes, all that stuff was on the go. Now, it is official. He signed to an exhibit 10 contract and will likely be sent, you know, as one of those places because, of course, you’re not playing out there on the summer league team. It’s unlikely you’re going to get that main roster opportunity, but definitely a guy that uh you look at stats at college, a guy that was very, very effective, especially this most recent season. You know, knocking down the three-point shot, average 18 points per game, can uh is a really good cutter from the little bit of film you see out there on the court. So, you know, questions about him being a little bit of a tweener. He’s a little bit older for a rookie, you know, 22 23 years old. So, uh a player that can come in and, you know, the Raptors need some extra shooting, need some extra firepower, scoring, and he plays well for the 905. a nice guy to have in your prospect pool, a nice guy to have in your development system, a winner, and a guy a lot of people liked out there at Boise State. So, interesting to have him on the team. Nice to get some confirmation there in terms of how the roster is looking. But, let me know what you guys think about all of this in the comment section down below. You guys best think this far. Subscribe to the channel if you guys haven’t already. Anyways, I’m signing out. Cheers.

Ayeeee
Bringing up Ibaka's name makes me remember just what a bad move he made to leave the Raptors. His career nose dived after that. He was pissed for playing behind Gasol and as it turns out that idiot left the Raptors as well. We never recovered from losing two fantastic forwards at the same time.
Counting the days for NBA season to begin, in the meantime go Jays go!
Quickly is our weak link. Too fragile and inconsistent for the money he gets. We need to trade him.
Serge is a great guy to mentor Ulrich.
I didn’t think I would miss watching the raptors this badly eleven though we were bad last season.
In a week will have the Jays, NFL, NHL, and now NBA – sports nerd's dream!

Trade sloppy barnes 🎉🎉🎉
We should hire serge as a trainer
I always said Fred is a top notch backup pg. But his body can't handle starter minutes.
