I always knew ESPN was amongst the best in sports media

  1. Honestly I’m a huge fan of Scottie but that feels high. Unless they’re taking injuries into account – I haven’t seen the list. Are guys like Haliburton, Tatum, Embiid, Dame and other injured players off the board? If so he rises obviously.

  2. Zubac at 36 is crazy. he should be a little higher than Scottie. Other than that, all the guys behind him should be behind him.

  3. A lot of team success, for the upcoming season rides on him. He has to meet the moment.

  4. Kevin Pelton is probably the best basketball analyst ESPN employs, so i’m sure he lobbied hard for Scottie. At the end of the day, if he’s a max player (which he is), he should be a top 30 player.

However, with Scottie last season it was so hard because the team is trash. If you put Scottie in J-Dub’s spot on OKC I bet they talk about him in the top 15, it’s so hard when you have minimal help.

Here’s hoping everyone stays healthy, the offence makes sense, and Scottie can make another jump. The changing of All-Star from East/West to 2/3 USA 1/3 World will likely cost him a layup All-Star spot.

  5. I just don’t know if you can build a franchise around him guys. It’s really like how Orlando tried to with Aaron Gordon. He needs so much development that I hope he shuts me and everyone else up.

  6. I can agree with that number. It would have made even more sense if they had mentioned his impact on defense.

  7. Fuck ESPN/Disney.

They employ Stephen “I like my basketball teams to be American” A. Smith and I’m never going to be over those comments. He doesn’t know shit about sports and is just a loudmouth.
