New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins | Week 4 Game Preview

It’s not technically a winner go home game. It’s not the tank bowl. It’s a Monday night tilt between two teams with a serious case of the moon days. If Miami doesn’t get on the board after starting 0 and3, their playoff hopes enter a danger zone. Only one team has escaped in the last 35 years. The Jets in the same predicament from 36. This is for the win. Mclofflin’s kick is right down the middle. Someone is going to finally eat a W. Both teams have offenses that have struggled to put points on the board to a tongue of Ailioa’s ability to play top shelf football on a consistent basis under the microscope. Dolphins offense only good for 21 points in their most recent loss. So under 22 in two of their three games thus far. He’s not as effective. He just doesn’t have that X factor like Josh Allen and some of the others. Now they get the Jets who have given up 29 plus points each time out. Their actual defense does come in off a stronger performance. held Tampa to 22 points last week. Offense gave up a pick six. They held the Bucks to four for 13 on third down, one for five in the red zone. And their special teams almost gifted them a dramatic late game win. That’s blocked. Field goal is blocked. Scooped up and will be taken all the way for a Jets touchdown. And we are tied at 26. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Their own offense has worked against them backto back weeks. Maybe Justin Fields returns. If not, it’s more Terrod Taylor who threw a couple of TDs to help bring them back in their week three loss. Fourth and goal. Taylor, he throws. Touchdown, Alan Lazard. But under 200 yds, he got picked off. Mustered just 5.5 yds per attempt. And the offense only produced 20 points, three for 11 on third down. So they stumble in off backto back sub21point showings. Making this Jets offense look like a high school team. It’s just been bad all around. Getting in the pool with the Miami defense and just as much need for a visit with Dr. Catz to talk through their issues. Gave up 31 points to Buffalo. Jets offense in turn looking at a defense that’s given up 31 plus points in all three 2025 games. Rolling. He can run if he has to. Instead, he flips it for the touchdown. All three levels of Miami’s defense come in dazed and confused. Pass rush New York’s O line will battle with. Did have two sacks last week. won by Bradley Chub. Allen’s going to go down to the 25 yd line. Bradley Chub is there, but a pressure rate of 9% tells you they didn’t really bother Josh Allen much. Whoever goes for New York at QB seems like Miami should be able to greet them a few times in the back field. Taylor took four sacks last week, so back-to back four sack taken games for the Jets. Took a fat 10 QB hits versus Tampa, too. Ball comes close as Taylor was hit from behind. Only one Jets receiver enters off a game with more than 32 yards. Garrett Wilson, who caught one of Taylor’s TDs, walked out with 84 yards. Taylor hit as he gets rid of it and it’s caught by Garrett Wilson. Wilson saw 13 targets. Next on the team last week saw six. Miami secondary he faces gave up three touchdowns to Josh Allen and company. Not a ton of yards, but a rate allowed over 130. Inside the 10, Shakira all the way in. Touchdown Buffalo. Dolphins Front has to work on its skills, heating up the kitchen and stopping ball carriers as they gave up close to six yards per carry and over 155 rush yards to the Bills. Gave up over a 100 yards and over five a run to James Cook. Two of the three backs they’ve faced have gone for five plus a carry against them. Here’s Cook. Breaks it into Dolphin territory. They get Bree Hall in this one. Comes in off a dud. Nine tries just 21 yards and he had a 17 y as part of that. Brillan Allen hit a five per run on his six attempts. Terrod led the team in rushing with 48. Taylor will pick up the first down with his legs inside the box 10. Miami’s offense, similar to the Jets, have a QB who threw two TDs last week to the end zone. Caught a touchdown. Tyreek Hill Tua only 143 yards, 4.3 in attempt. They ran for 5.2 a carry. So they would have been better off not throwing. Tongue of Aloa, another really bad pick, has a three-game INT streak to start the year. To a throw and it’s intercepted. It’s picked off at about the 20 yd line. The Jets secondary he’ll be looking at has faced Aaron Rodgers who they made look 21 again. They held Josh Allen in check, then let Baker Mayfield throw for 233 yards on eight yards per attempt. A rating allowed over 100. No picks. Mayfield looking for a catch. their pass rush with just one sack and only two QB hits on Baker’s 29 pass attempts stacked against a Miami O line that prevented Tua from being dropped a single time on 34 pass attempts and he only got hit once. So that was better compared to the first two games that saw him dropped eight times combined. Then he goes to Han and he goes down the sideline for a first down. Dolphins big uglies also helped defend run game make a difference. Ali Gordon looking to build on his 38 rush yard, 4.2 two a run, one score game. Again, Gordon plunging forward. He’s in. Devon Aan 62 rush yards, 5.2 a carry. He’s hit at 5.2 or better two of their three games. Keep it on the ground. Big hole through the middle. First and goal. Devon Aan. Achan also caught seven passes. Only managed 29 yards though. Malik Washington five targets just 12 yards. Jaylen Wadd 39 yards though he did get to do his penguin bit after scoring his second TD in as many weeks to a throws and that’s going to be caught for a touchdown by Jaylen Wadd his first catch of the night. He didn’t rob anyone by the way Tyreek Hill also scored versus Buffalo 10 targets 49 yards and that’s caught at the 41 yardd line. to Tyreek Hill. Hill trying to take advantage of a jet secondary that gave up 85 yds to wide receiver Acha Ibuka and 80 to Sterling Shepard. And along the ground, Achan and Oi face a front that held Bucky Irving to 2.6 a carry. Irving forced back as Irving is brought down back at the 46. They gave up 44 yards to Baker on 11 a run, but that’s not usually a two a thing. Jets took their last meeting with Miami, but the Fins have won 12 of the last 15 contests between the two. Maybe this week they could replicate their 1986 classic OT thriller. What? It could happen. This exciting seesaw battle climax with not one but two miracle finishes. [Applause] [Music] O’Brien back to throw. O’Brien being rushed. O’Brien throwing over the middle. Whistley touchdown. Touchdown. There is no time remaining. O’Brien’s back to throw. O’Brien’s throwing long down the sideline for Walker. And he is touchdown. Touchdown. Wesley Walker with his fourth touchdown reception. The Jets are going berserk. They’re bombing Wesley Walker in the end zone. And the Jets win it 51- 45. [Music]

  1. The New York Jets coming off their road loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers🟢⚪️⚫️✈️🏙️🗽
The Miami Dolphins coming off their road loss against the Buffalo Bills🟢🟠⚪️🐬

  2. I'm gonna take the Dolphins in this one. They kept with the Bills more than I expected (granted, they didn't win, but no one ever thought they would). So yeah, I'll take Dolphins. The Jets couldn't finish the upset last week, they won't win now

  3. There is absolutely no reason to pick the Dolphins. Jets at least show toughness, Dolphins have zero culture. This will be the end of Mike McDaniel. The Jets will dominate in the trenches and run all over Miami.

    Prediction: 27-13 Jets.
