Dodgers postgame: Tanner Scott accepts blame for walk-off loss to Diamondbacks

Well, T, just coming into this one, you did have four consecutive really good outings. Things were kind of getting back on track. With the results here in this one, uh, the balls, what do you kind of maybe point to with this outing to be? I hit the first guy and walked the second guy that put yourself in a pretty tough spot to get out of. I wasn’t executing pitches. I I gave up a long fly ball to uh Jorge the outfielder and just put myself in a bad situation getting the first two guys on with no outs. It makes it definitely harder and wasn’t executing. How difficult is it to make that adjustment especially in the middle of an outing in terms of like trying to get back in the zone and get the execution right, especially after first two guys get on? Well, you’re trying not to get anyone else on and I mean out there grinding and it just didn’t go my way and I mean best best of the inning before was huge and for that to happen sucks. I mean should have won the game. It’s my fault. Have you seen the last last week of the season here? Like how much confidence do you have that you can kind of get on some kind of roll or find some sort of consistency during these these last couple days? I mean tomorrow’s a new day and after today it’s just move on. Are you one of those guys just kind of wants to get back out there, turn the page, and fresh start as you do prepare for what’s going to come October? For sure. For sure. I mean, for this to happen, it sucks. And just got it’s got to end tonight and tomorrow’s going into the day.

  2. The tone of his voice and explanation says he doesn't give a dam. His body language says he doesn't care. I don't know why Dave keeps putting him in that situation time and time again.

  3. They have two of the biggest busts/ wastes of money on the team as locker neighbors: Kirby Yates and Tanner Scott. Now both of them should be neighbors on the DFA list. Just awful stuff!!

  13. WHY does Robert's keep bringing this guy in? He should be relegated to mop up duty in games hopelessly lost. It's become a habit. Starter gives 6-7 great innings and he comes in and BLOWS the game. Trienen is just as bad . There's a pennant race at stake here and these guys are NOT cutting it. No more…..PLEASE!

  17. It's not just Tanner Scott, when Edguardo Henriquez gave up that 2 run HR I knew it was over. The moment Ohtani comes out the bullpen collapses its disheartening to watch.
