Its the craziest shit because he did this on purpose and it worked 100% flawlessly.
I miss that feeling of waiting for a moment of madness from Manu in his canonical 25/30 minutes.
Unbelievable
Still hard to talk about that series
Manu never got the recognition he deserved from media and league fans (we knew) because he came off the bench. I understand there’s now even more money to be made from incentives and contract stipulations for things like all-stars and all-nba, and being a starter helps….but golly Manu’s mentality was the cheat code to winning games.
A superstar level talent, starts the game observing from the bench, then when he comes in it’s against one of two possibilities….starters who are already gassed, or a second unit that isn’t nearly good enough to share the floor with him. Either way, he comes into the game already ahead of the competition in front of him, and then he’s in rhythm for the rest of the game.
I miss that reckless bastard every day
He was so sneaky with his passes, there were times even his own teammates didn’t see it coming. Dude had a real life byakugan
He’s had a few nutmeg passes that were just absolutely unbelievable.
99% of the time that pass wont work and it just shows the genius madness of Manu of doing that pass. It also demonstrate the synergy between Manu and TP during that play knowing full well where will Manu pass the ball wherein only Tony can get it. To thia day, I still cant believe the difficulty of executing that play.
Manu is my favorite player of all time. He’d have a career like James Harden if he was a more selfish player. Matter of fact he’d be even better because he was a great defender as well. Im so fortunate I got to watch most of his career live.
Miss Manu everyday.
I think Manu may be the most underrated passer in NBA history. No joke. As far as his actual passing ability and ability to make high-level passes, I think he might be top three among all shooting guards of all time and I don’t think he gets that kind of recognition simply because he didn’t put up massive assist numbers because of his role and minutes
But man did that guy throw some ridiculous passes
I love Manu, but he absolutely drove me insane in these finals.
Manu is a quarterback in a shooting guard’s body… Truly Remarkable! 🐐
He’s my GOAT. If you consider his career numbers ,in the system they ran, coming off the bench??? Dropped 27 and handed an L to LeBron and team usa?? Too easy.
