  11. Lousy tactics down in AA Texas League Championship. Top 3rd, Cards 3, Rockhounds 1.

    Runners 1st & 2nd, 0 out. And Cards try to bunt the runners over.

    Doesn’t make any sense at any level of baseball anymore. If it was 9th inning, 8th inning, maybe 7th, I might buy it. But its the 3rd inning. Lots of game to go. Play for those chances of multiple runs/big inning.

    And if to prove the point, charging 1B gabbed the bunt and whipped it to 3rd for the force out, 3-5. And then next Cards batter GIDP. 0 runs.
