The one and only Show Otani who does the Freddy and pokes Blaze Alexander in the eye on a 2-o. Cracks one in the air to right field. Carol steadies under it, comes on, makes the catch. Otani charges for the plate. Carol’s throw has no chance and the Dodgers are on the board very quickly. Freddy Freeman grounds the first one to Marte. Two out. Nelson Cindy with a one-two. Got him. But the Dodgers get him. Otani with a leadoff triple. Heavily on the curveball. Half of those strikeouts coming on that pitch. Marte hammers this ball to the gap in left center field and it’s up against the wall. Both leadoff men getting extra base hits for Marte. It’s a double. Marte at second as the two comes home and Purdomo taps it in play. Snell is there over to first just in time. Good play by Blake Snell. There goes Carol. Got a great jump. A line drive to left field that Pahz will catch. Marte heads home. The throw goes to first and with a normal runner. That was going to be a close play, but Carol like a cartoon character watching those feet buzz back in there safely. Game’s tied at one and a sack fly from Moreno. There goes Carol. They got him picked off, but the throw’s high and Carol’s safe. Picked off. You don’t have him picked off. I He’s out here and except he’s not. I mean, the reason Freeman throws this ball away is he had to rush the throw to even have a chance. And look how quick Corbin Carroll gets to second base. Carol runs. Throw from Rofet. Not in time. Not close to in time. And Carol’s in there standing. 3-2 pitch. Got him with a fast ball. And that’s the inning. But the Diamondbacks tie it. Both teams take advantage of the lead off extra base hit. That’s a great look. Into right center field. That’s going to get down for a base hit. It’s another two-out hit for the Dodgers. And they’ve got them cornered. Bets and Freeman both two out hits. Now Muny swings and misses. Freeman will take second. It’s one and two. Here’s the payoff. Got him with a breaking pitch. Dodgers leave him at second and third. Purdomo back spins a fly ball to the gap in left center field. Pah able to make the catch. Didn’t take a perfect angle for it. Bouncing out to second. Tough to turn two on him. They get one and that is all. Pop flies shallow right field. Rojos going out. He’s there. And that’s an uneventful third inning for Snell. Usually what breaks it open. Here’s the high drive off of the bat of Andy Pahz. Back to the track at the wall. Goodbye. A two-run home run to put him ahead. 26th of the year for Pahz. Dodgers up three to one. So, let’s go see what he looks like in a tight game and a leverage situation. Backhand play. Muny chucks it across the diamond to get McCann Sasaki with some help from his defense for the first down of the seven. That’s a huge huge first out. I mean, first time you’re pitching out of the bullpen. First time since early May. What? Two-2 strike three on the inside corner. Two gone in Sasaki’s first inning. Here’s his 3-2. Wow. What do we have here? Wow. The 10 is drilled to left center field. Tawa is going back. It is off the wall. Bets is chugging around third. Peromo juggles the relay. Hernandez heads for third. He’s there. Dodgers take a four to one lead. Tasks Hernandez roaring his way into third. The third. Alexander ends the inning. To the bottom of the eighth we go. The Dodgers add on four to one. The two- two pitch line to left field diving try and a catch from Andy Pahz who’s having himself one well-rounded night. Alex Call approves of his fellow left fielder. One gone eighth inning. 01 pitch line drive base hit towards the right field corner. Hernandez over to cut it off into second with a double is Carol as Burdomo stops at third. Four to2 tying run into scoring position. Another two two- two from Henriquez. Bouncing ball in front of the plate. RV has no play. It’s four to three. I mean, talk about a swinging bunt. I mean, just luck. And this is what the Diamondbacks have been doing. Just short game in it. Even mhitting. How many infield singles have we seen in this game? So, he has to try again. Here’s one, two. Smack to deep center field. Edmond twists around and makes the catch, but the Diamondbacks have done it again. We’re tied at four. On a one-1 from Henriquez, Tawa chops one up the middle to Miguel Rojos. Takes it to the bag and sends it to the ninth. And the Diamondbacks have tied it up. Fly to right field. Routine for Corbin Carroll [Applause] Marte. We go to the bottom of the ninth. Here’s the 2-2. Bounce it to short for Betts. One away in the ninth. His payoff. Marte flies it to right center field. Edmonds over. Edmond dives and makes the catch. That ball kept on peeling away from Tommy Edmond, but a Superman dive makes it a one, two, three relief inning for Kershaw. Garcia’s 2-2. We got a chase on a pitch that was nowhere close. That’s pokes a base hit to life. Kim’s coming home. Carol’s throw is right there. He’s out. That last move the difference about the save at home. And it’s right there. The bottom of the tenth. Tied at four. bunts it down. Rushing into the game of catcher down to first to a covering Rohas. Dryer’s one-two pitch popped up as good as a strike out. Mookie Betts takes command. Two gone in the 10th. Fly ball shallow right field. Rojos is out. Teay Oscar’s on and we go to the 11th. Neither team scores in the 10 on 22. Hernandez flies one to left center field. That is Thomas for the first out. That’s what we’ve got here. Hernandez pops one in the air to right field. Back goes Carol with room. Freeman tags and advances to third. Now one-two pitch. Tommy Edmond lines one over short and into left center field to give him the lead. Tommy Edmond with a two out, two strike go ahead base hit. 54 in the 11. There he goes. Here it comes. A swing and a miss for strike three. Dodgers break through. They get the Robleski’s one, two. Fouled into the glove. Strike three. I thought it hit his body, but watch it catch the knob. Wow. You’re talking just an inch there of opportunity to get a foul tip. Ground ball to short. Mookie bets over to first. Two gone in the 11th and out away from sealing it. Strike one on Thomas. Is a one. Yes. Threw on and miss. Strike two. Hey, hang on. Magic number one, Justin Robleski.
