Marlins vs. Phillies Game Highlights (9/24/25) | MLB Highlights

The Phillies four games ahead of the Dodgers. The magic number to clinch the by is down to one. They should get that done. Hopefully they get that done tonight with a win on the mound. It’s left hand Jesus Luzardo 14 and seven going for that 15th win, 4.08 a 32 on the way swing and a miss, he got it and there’s number 27 on the season for one down that will bring up austin Ramirez swing and a miss and he matches his career high in strikeouts with the first two hitters in tonight’s ball game two 100 and eight, another 0 to 2 pitch on the way swing and a miss struck him out and there it is a new career high for Jesus Luzardo and they say that baseball for the Luzardo trophy case strikeout number 209 on the season. After missing three months, ryan weathers is making his third start back last start. He’d like to have a do over. This will probably be his last start of the season one away, no score bottom of the first Karber and the pitch swung on line to right field fairly deep. Going back on it is we, he jumps and he couldn’t catch it. His back up against the fence couldn’t make the grab. Schwarber Scampers into second. He’s got a double 23 doubles on the year for Schwarber. That’s 79 extra base hit. Start driving here is a ball and weather is with the pitch swinging a ground ball back up the middle. It will be fielded by Lopez near the back. Second, his throw pulls the first baseman off the bag wagon and reaching to the outfield side gets pulled off the bag and is going to reach. Otto Lopez will be charged with his 11th error. Here’s Nick Castanos getting the start tonight with a lefty on the hill. Weathers delivers and the pitch is taken for a strike called perfect pitch there inside corner just above the knees. Here’s Otto Kemp runner goes from first, the pitch swung on and missed. He struck and weathers works around the double and the error we go to the second Jesus Lizardo on face to strike out 27 tonight. Ground ball to the whole diving stop made by B to his feet. Sweeps. The throw can’t pick it doesn’t come off the bag to stop it either it gets by him. So right away a man in scoring position, swing and a miss for strikeouts for Lazard Wagman, 248 hitter with nine homers including at Luzardo expense line drive out to left field, that’s a base hit and they’re going to send Norby around home. And eric Wageman again gets to Jesus Luzardo and he gives Miami a one to nothing lead 52nd run batted in. Got him right where we want to swing and a miss five strikeouts. Wagman steals the base. Marsha had no chance there. 32 on the way, got him looking strike out on the inside corner and all six outs via the strikeout so far for Luzardo Mundo Sosa back in the starting lineup for the Phils, he’ll lead off here in the bottom of the second three strikeouts and now Weston wilson coming up 32 all the way and that’s ball four counts two and two. And the pitch is a called third strike 97 over the heart of the plate and the pitch, Marsha swings lines it deep to left field, going back to Noah, he’s got room, he’ll make the catch and the side is retired for the first two down. Two misses up and away count runs full over to third leaping grab made by the glove is not broken in. That certainly will help 123 go. The Marlins, this one was hit right on the nose with a great reaction from 142 hits for kyle safely in 20 of his last 22. Ball center field going back on it is Marcy to the wall gug and he can’t get it. It’s gone. 55 home. He hit two shots in two days, 23 home runs against left handers. It’s a new record for a left handed hitter against left handed pitching for a season. What he this fan base in this team? We don’t think they want him to break the single season record. The Marlins tied up with one loo will face Hernandez, Norby and Edwards swing and a miss 14 pitches last inning, seven strikeouts now against his former club 2 to 1 pitch and swung on and popped up and near the plate. Marchand’s got a play, he’s under it and he makes the catch. Here’s Xavier Edwards and it’s swung on hit in the air right center field. Not too deep. Bader is over in the alley, he’ll make the catch and Kemp is retired 31. The put out here’s Edmundo Sousa left center field. He swung basically one handed. It’s carrying out toward the Giants side. It’s gone. So is so strong. 2 to 1, I don’t know, 400 ft with one hand and it will bring up Bryson. That ball is crushed deep to right center field, forget about it into the bullpen and Then balls flying 3 to 1.I don’t think that would need any help. That was beautifully struck, struck out looking his first at bat. He wasn’t going to let another fastball pass. We struck out looking his first time up 3 to 1. Phillies lead it swing and a miss, they went to the same spot, they went the last time to get him this time. They got him swinging eight strikeouts for Lizardo and it will be Edo Sosa first to face Bacher with a couple of runners on ball is out at second. He doubled. Kemp walked with two outs. He’s at first. That ball is deep to left field. No, has no chance. A three run home on the second one of the night for Edmundo Sosa. It’s 6 to 1. Phillies. It’s ok to score all your runs with a home run. The welcome back Edo nine home runs for Edo. Sosa could be the happiest man in the history of the game. Lopez zero for two tonight against Luzardo and a called strike three. How about number nine that breaking ball that starts away Lopez gives up on it. Popped up, Marsha Otto Kepp and it’s Kepp who makes the call on the catch Jesus Lizardo back to the hill 345 due up swing and a miss he’s got 10. This has been fun to watch. No doubt. Pretty locked in from the get go fly ball left field, going back on it is Wilson back to the wing side. He has room makes the catch two outs, 12 bouncer over to third scooped on the short hop by ball across his body. Seven in a row retired by Jesus Lizardo. He’s going to get a great round of applause. His pop, loves it. His mom loves it. Everybody loves it. There’s been some home runs tonight. Kyle Schwarber has two hits. One of them, a record setting home run. That ball is crushed deep into the night into the second deck. Wow. Solo home run, kyle Schwarber. Another step closer to ryan howard. It’s his 56th of the season. It’s his second one of the nights. 71, 468 ft away. 460. It is the longest one of the season for Kyle ball, one for three tonight. Reached on an error, doubled, scored a run, fly ball, left field hit pretty well. Going back to no Soha to the wall. It’s gone back to back home run and was able to a that ball down in the Phillies lead it 8 to 1 and all eight runs have come. Thanks to the homer. The Phillies are one homer away from matching the franchise record for home runs in a game. Otto smokes one deep to left center field. Forget about that one. It’s gone two run home. The Phils are lighting up tonight. It’s 10 1. Philadelphia and the Phillies have matched the franchise record with their seventh homer of the night and it’s the second time in a month that they’ve done it. It’s 10 to 1. Here’s Sousa pull down the left field line. So no, is going back and it’s gone into the first base. I think that went out that’s a home run. It’s just got to go into the flower bed, three home run game. Come on everybody to their feet for that one. And Mundo Sosa hasn’t played in 12 days. He’s making up for lost time. Not only that, the Phillies have set a franchise record with eight home runs, two balls, two strikes, everybody on their feet. Here’s the pitch, fly ball left field, Marsh is coming in. He settles under it. He waits, makes the catch and the Phillies have assured themselves a by the national league playoffs. Thanks to a resounding 11 to 1 victory over the Miami Marlins. They’ve advanced to the national league division series. They did it with a franchise record, eight home runs.

  1. Valente Bellozo pitched the worst game of the game today, giving up five runs. Will he be demoted back to the minor leagues? Or will he still be used as a relief pitcher?

  2. Marlins pitching was terrible tonight. Leaving everything hanging tonight. Cmon Fish, our bullpen needs tremendo improvement. Weathers needs to watch more film and scouting reports. You never leave anything inside on Schwarber, always pitch away. Everytime schwarber has struck out its been on outside pitches or nasty breaking balls. He is a hit machine. Altleast outside you get him to pop up most the time.

  3. If he hits 60 home runs, Schwarber will be the MVP. Although the two-way player returned in the second half, his pitching performance is only a reference. Apart from that, his impact is low.I want people to vote properly and without bias.
