Astros vs. A’s Game Highlights (9/24/25) | MLB Highlights
Astros desperately need a w as they trail the Tigers by a half game in that third wild card spot. Today is going to be a true test trying to bounce back from a tough loss last night. The offense needs to step up today, final start for Severino in the 25 campaign. So here’s a 3 to 2 pitch and waits and he takes high. So he walks, that’s the way our ball game begins that will bring up Isak cars at stake. Jacob Wilson, that ball, a double play. So here’s Correa who’s bounding 272 32 pitch is a line drive base hit to right field. Carlos Correa with a two out single for the Astros and that will bring up Christian Walker walker K as the Astros go down and they failed to score with the ace coming up in the bottom half. The Astros have their ace on the mound. It is the Diesel Hunter Brown making his 31st start for 30 previous, has a 2.30 a left side tough play for backhand and what a throw Ramona mentioned he hasn’t started in two weeks. He gets challenged on the first play and makes a great throw off balance. Kurtz is out that will bring up a that will go for a knock. So one on and one out for Tyler Soderstrom left handed hitting left fielder batting 278 into center field coming on, jake myers. He’ll make a diving attempt to make the catch Jake Myers good play in left center field. He was shaded that way and got a pretty good jump on that ball. A couple of good plays, get two outs in this inning. Now you’ve got one on the sinking line drive to Jake Myers. Here’s Rooker who is hitting 264. Now, slow ground ball to third charges, throw a little bit of throw but making the play at first is walker to end the inning. We go to the bottom of the third. No score. J JB will lead things off for the athletics. Oh yeah, dropped in the curveball and throws. LA. Here is Harris right handed hitter and he gets him swinging. Hunter Brown continues to add to his career high total of strikeouts. That’s number two on the season and that will bring up the first base with nick Kurtz off the plate. Four pitch walk, first walk allowed by hunter and a two out base runner. And here is Shay langeliers had that infield single on the left side to won’t have a hit it hard enough to get it past Carlos going down to the knee to make that catch just couldn’t contain the momentum, still no score. Bottom of the third inning. Soderstrom, the batter, the left fielder inside third and down the line for Soderstrom Kurtz around third. He’ll score lang is around third. They’ll hold him there and it’s a double, they throw back, hold up the ball. It’s an RBIs double for Soderstrom and the one to nothing really unfortunate for Brown walks on four pitches with two outs. You can certainly understand that but Lears infield hit and Then Soderstrom hit it where they weren’t going against the defense not hit hard but in the right spot. Brent Rooker is the batter 87 RBIs on the season for Rooker as he stands in, try to hold up and that’s a swing. Hunter picks up a strikeout to strand two in scoring position. But the on the board first, we go to the top of the fourth, the A’s are leading it 1 to 0. As Luis Severino, there’s a line drive base hit that will help change the numbers around in the right direction. Hopefully as the Astros have their second leadoff hitter on in four innings. Christian walker, the batter he struck out looking his last time to third charging in is Harris the second out with now in scoring position. Bring up Sanchez the left and that’s the third out of the inning. Third strike out for Severino one away and that will bring up Brett Harris, here’s the 32 hits Harris slide in there but didn’t need to throw wasn’t in time in the scoring position with one out. That’s costly. So it’s a single and Then an charged to the left fielder Sanchez allowing Paris to get the extra 90 ft scoring position one out for Kurtz. And the right hander turns here it is and it’s Lowe and another walk to Kurtz. The A have two on with one out for Shay langeliers. A little bit more coming down at a faster pace here at all. Right. Here comes in a sign after it bounced over the wall for a ground rule double and it is a 2 to 0 A’s lead. Solan Lears his 29th double and 69th run bat at the end of the season. He’s three for three tonight, but that’s his first ball that he’s hit, that’s left the infield two minutes scoring position. Now, one out for Soderstrom got a big strikeout for Hunter keeping runners at 2nd and 3rd. That’s the second out of the inning that will bring up Rooker a two minute scoring position back in the third inning needs to do it again. Here, left field in for a tough set of circumstances for Hunter to be working through that curveball, stayed up just enough Rooker in left sanchez bobbled that ball the second bobble that he’s had in left field. All sorts of trouble out there. Here is Jacob Wilson Steven Oer is up throwing in the bullpen for the Astros popped up right up in the air on the infield, jose, it puts it away for the final out of the innings. Just continue their dominance of the Astros out for Correa for out number one. And that will bring up the first baseman Christian Walker and this ball to right center that pretty well hit but on the move is, but can make the play and bounces into the bullpen. That will be a double for the Astros looked like he got there as he slowed up on the track but didn’t quite get to the baseball walker has the Astros first extra base hit of the series out of the dugout. He’s going to make a move on for Severino. Here’s Hogan Harris on for the 46th time this year, a 3.30 for the lefty on the ground to Harris check the runner over the first two. Here’s Diaz, he’s zero for two runner on second two away, a swing and a miss got him on the fastball. Great job by Hogan Harris. Two outs. Lang had a night three for three , a couple of infield five nothing athletics and that is home run 31 for the A’s catcher four for four for Langoliers. And through the rain, he has brought the paint a fastball at the top and shake delivers a missile off the brick facade not done yet. Tyler Soderstrom six, nothing A’s and Soderstrom getting the number 25. Well, Jenny, the heavens had opened up and so has the story Sodi with a slider stays close to the body and see you later wash it down with a so now the Astros seeing this series fly away into the night with a couple of big swings, 35th appearance for the big right hander. He’s a fireballer and I think Elvis has been a guy that we have watched grow right before our very eyes two away. And that will bring up K Smith, the Houston Astros losing streak stretches to five games. The Astros with four games remaining. Now a game behind Detroit for the final wild card spot in the American League.

From a Mariners fan, thank you Athletics for continuing the trend over the last week of pushing the Astros' faces into the cans from whence they came.
Go back to the First 10 Games of the Regular season for the Astros and You could predict easily they would not make the Post Season.. Whats Next For Houston Astros Fire Joe Espada Second Release Caratini Walker Parades Mccullers Javier Kimbrel And Sign Correa Trade Altuve Dubon Diaz Valdez King Okert Murray Wesneski Sanchez Regardless it Won't Matter Cause I already Rooting for The Chicago Cubs Houston Your Problems Just Got even Worse ๐๐๐
The Astros and Tigers are both trying to miss the postseason so they don't get swept in the first round ๐

When the As leave California will they leave Minnie Mouse behind?
The Astros run is offically over I won't be surprised if the team starts rebuilding after this Season done with.
Have a nice vacation Astros. Time to clean house after the season is over. To many layback hitters who don't really look like they want to play. Pitchers who pitch like they want to get release or traded. And coaches making runners steal base when they are ten feet behind first plate. This team needs to take everything out of the house clean it really nice and shiny. And only bring back in the players who want to play and pitch and hit and win. This group has gotten older and lazy. And bringing back Correa was a bad idea. He can't hit no more. You can't take back an old girlfriend and pick of where you left off. That was a dumb move. Anyways, season is almost over Astros. You'll be going home soon. Hoping for new fresh young faces next year. That's why in the KPOP industry, contracts only last 7 years. Long term contracts lasting more than 7 or 8 years are stupid. Ohtani will be to the Dodgers, like Puljos was to the Angels. Big name recognition but no pay out. He will blow his arm out then he won't even be able to bat either. Players are people too. They too will get old and there functions will diminish.
I said that, Athletics will sweep Astros lol
Astros getting spanked by a mediocre team is quite hilarious. Wait til the Angels get a hold of them. ๐
What is happening to the Astros and Tigers? ๐๐
too easy
Nice work A's!
She still keeps her job. Shocking.
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. ๐ Amen.
Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Hey Astros! Who's your daddy?๐๐๐๐๐Who's your daddy?๐๐๐๐๐Welp, it doesn't look like Bob Iger's Black Magic Aliens are making it this year. That's okay I've been saving a warm spot on the couch right next to me! All the toxic bandwagon Astro fans have disappeared, but Rangerbob never hides. Rangersforeverโค
My cousin was not at the game but he watched from home, and did not wear his hat.
