[Music] What’s going on, Jerome Romes? So, Diamond Dallas Turner, secondyear edge rusher for the Vikings, starting to come into his own. Also, again, we’re up in the Annie. Two grand to the charity of choice. Uh, preferably not like Island Food Truck. Uh, if he hits the Diamond Cutter after a sack, just I I understand that DDT might have this copyrighted, but you know what I mean? Just do some yo yoga afterwards. It’d be good. Uh but Turner the the other the other first round pick uh last season uh joining JJ McCarthy 21-year-olds coming into the league and ready to take over by force. It’s going to be good to go, right? Uh and and Turner last year as a rookie, you know, definitely had some ups, had some downs, seen here sacking future NFL MVP Daniel Jones. I I wish I was kidding, right? But uh even though Diamond Dallas was behind two Pro Bowl studs in Jonathan Grard and Andrew Van Ginkle, uh he still held his own in limited action. Uh just get getting some work on the edge, having three sacks, uh and also learning how to drop into coverage and also learning this extremely complex Brian Flores scheme. Frankly, I think he did okay uh for a part-time player uh his rookie season as well as entering the NFL at 21 years old. And then this season been in the lab with a pen and a pad trying to get this damn label off getting things going working out with Gennard going to edge rusher was it summit the edge rusher summit because it’s tight end you is at the edge rusher summit it’s close enough and turner moving mobile agile hostile put on some good weight which is something he’s going to have to do to be an everyown edge player in the national football league look really good in OTAAS and also Flores uh you know spoke highly about Turum in that room I see it as three starters s with Gernard, Andrew Vankel, and Turner. And again, this is not hyperbole. Look at Brian Flores. Does he look like someone who lies to make someone feel better about themselves? No. No. So, Turner is absolutely legit. Uh, and the Vikings do have three starters at edge. And as Edge Van Genel gets back from concussion, Jonathan Gernard’s just been a monster, a menace out there. And Turner Turner’s been looking pretty damn good as well. So against the Bengals, he led the team in pressures uh with five. Also, he got most of those in the first twothirds of the game and you know a lot of players got subbed out later in the game. So I mean it could have been even better, right? Uh also almost nearly had a safety uh in the game as well. Would have been a game changer. Well, there’s a lot of gamechanging moments for the Vikings that went in our favor. Yeah. Also tied for third on the team and pressures for the season. uh you tied with Javon Harvey with nine has played about twothirds of the Vikings defensive snaps so far this year 123 out of 189. Now you almost have to take that with a grain of salt because there was some substituting late in the game against the Bengals as well as a little bit against the Falcons as well. So yeah, but basically he is a full-time starter. It’s what it is. He’s doing a much better job setting the edge against the run. Uh well except for week two, but nobody looked good week two. You can tell like technique-wise as well as physicalitywise, he’s definitely able to use his length to hold his own on the edge uh and divert uh potential blockers as well as send the runner back inside uh where the calvary is. It’s good. Plus, he’s doing all this at only 22 years old. So, Heat is back. He Heat is back, man. And I’m proud of Dallas Turner. Ro tide uh getting some things done and proving all the haters and losers wrong. And you know what’s going to be I’m still bullish on the 2024 draft class because we’ve only been through a season and three games this year. Uh so McCarthy, future franchise guy, Diamond Dallas Turner with that speed rush once he gets some season in is going to be good to go. Also the fact that he’s learning everything uh he’s learning to be solid against the run. He’s learning to be very good in coverage as well is going to be a menace. Going to be an absolute three-phase ed rushing menace. And it’s going to be I love it, man. It’s good times. Anyways, your thoughts, our thoughts. Diamond Dallas Turner looking really damn good.
