Royals vs. Angels Game Highlights (9/24/25) | MLB Highlights
For the Angels. It will be you say Kiuchi, he is just six and 11 this year and he comes in with a 4.05 earned run average. You have to add it to Kuchi in terms of his durability. This year is the opening day starter for this team. He’ll make his last start of the season tonight and with 33 on the year and he got him swinging , struck him out and the inning is over, sets him down 123 here in the top of the first on only six pitches and Royals pitcher last night struck out 13 Angels. And now you have Stephen Koli who is coming off a career high , eight strikeouts swung on and missed strike three. There’s a strikeout the first of the night for the Angels in the first of the night for stephen Kolak and that ends a 123 bottom of the first inning, two up, two away, first five retired by Kuchi tonight and jonathan India will be the next batter and he lifts this one in the into left field. Taylor Ward has a bead on it and left center that one in. It’s another quick clean inning for just a 10 pitch. Inning one out in the batter here will be Rapo against co a line drive and a base hit for a soft liner but he gets it in there. Now he’s trying for second with a great arm but he double pumped and the throw too late. It’s a double for to get rid of it. It’s hard to take that gamble runner on second with two outs for right handed hitting christian Moore pop in shallow right field, droping quickly. It’s going to fall in for a hit and he is going to be held once he gets to third and Moore is on at first with a single at the corner. He’s one out for Perez goes Moore bouncing ball is short score a run at second base. If he doesn’t go, that’s probably a double play. An RBI for the Angels, take a 1 to 0 lead all around. Nice play this whole entire inning. Not a hard hit ball by red, but a hustle double good at bat by Chris Moore putting in play and the ground ball with the runner on the move and Christian Moore run scored has retired all six batters. He has faced so far third time this year. Capucci has gone six up, six down 16 pitches to boot to miss strike three second strikeout. He has retired seven in a row if you can get that fastball start in the zone work the corners, you’re going to get some swing and misses on his curveball and slider. His changeup counts full 3 to 2 and the next pitch and that is chase and the ball bounced in. Firing to first to complete the strikeout is Romero and couldn’t be any better than he’s been in the first three innings. He’s retired nine in a row. Here’s a quick first out for Coli, he’s got the first batter in each of the first three innings he’s pitched tonight. Now, the batter is Taylor Ward. He’s having a great year. Taylor Ward drove out his 35th home run of the season last night. A high fly ball. This is well hit out in the deep left center field and it is out of here. Taylor Ward who homered last night hits another one and that’s his sixth home run here in September. It’s his 36th of the season and he’s now tied with Joe Adell for the club lead and the Angels have a 2 to 0 lead. We talked about it when Taylor Ward starts to get hot. Look out. This is a hanging slider and he’s just not missing these. Now, the Royals get their first base runner thanks to what should be an error. A little bobble, it stayed on the glove and wrist area but no chance running down the line. Pasin bats with their strike three called fastball. I’m loving the use of his fastball so far tonight. But Capucci, the trust in the fastball will make all his pitches better and that is a swing and a miss back to back strikeouts will wrap up the inning and they leave on over there at second base. So a man in scoring position with one out, a 1 to 2 count on Sebastian Rivera dancing around second base bouncer, throw it in the home to the plate. The Angels grab a run as Oswald sprints around the bases. The Angels lead it 3 to 0. Suboptimal for K he got that one and just chucked it to center field. The Angels trying to rally more in this inning, draws a walk to the top of the order. Bouncer to second base goes back to third but the Royals make their third error of the game. It will be an error on the Royals defense which is normally elite has been suspect tonight. They’re having a rare off night to focus on the hitter and not worry about what’s happened to one on Taylor Ward bases loaded , swing and ground. It is short. Bobby has it goes to India for one on the that’s two. There’s that double play they’ve been looking for and they get it off the bat award to go 643 and it ends a frustrating inning, but they do limit the Angels to just one run. Have been able to get a run in each of the last three innings giving leg here. The Royals meanwhile are looking for their first hit Randall getting a start for his second consecutive night with the Royals seeing a left handed starter hits it well to center field do at the wall and it is just over his glove for a home run. You talk about a good effort by Teodosio timed it perfectly but Randall Gry ninth home run of the season, that ball was touched. Like I said yesterday, a couple of hard hit balls, nothing to show for it. But tonight to center field off of Cucci that breaks up the no hitter and of course, the shutout the sixth inning here and you Kuchis having a meeting on the mound with Ray Montgomery and one of the Barry Enright as well. It looks like he might come out of this game. Not real comfortable. He’s shaking his wrist. See that right there tells you there’s a tingling in there. I think he’s coming out. That will be the end of the season for, he did end up getting his, er, a under four with the last half inning. Even though he gave up a run, he ends up with a 399 a in his 33 starts and he’s in line for the win here. Sounds like he’s dealing with some cramping right now out here but obviously disappointed to have to exit this ball game early. Moore has the second hit of the night. That was a hard liner after a blue pit earlier, two for 31 to 2 on a swing. Grounder left side. Bobby has it clipped to India for one on first. That’s two for the second time tonight. The Royals turn a 643, double play and trying to get through at least six innings, two thirds of the way through this inning now with two out and now he’ll get their catcher the one time Royal Sebastian Rivero swing and a grounder off the end of the bat right to pass. He’ll take it to the bag for the out and co faces the minimum six innings, two runs. He’s having another good night in the second goes JRS. So he’s there now with two down and Luke is due up but Carter Jensen has grabbed a bat against with his right handed pitcher on the mound. Not a surprise. He’s got a 929 P and a very sample size, very impressive sample size. And let’s see if he can come through and at least get a hit and bring, bring ya home and a swing and a ground ball into right center for a base hit. Here comes Yastrzemski around third. He’s going to score a pitch hit RB I single for the rookie Carter Jensen and the Royals pull within one. They’re down 3 to 2. What a highlight in September. It’s been watching Carter Jensen Leone stands in here with Jensen at first two outs sharply diving stop by Moore from last year. Throws out another play that was got it in that glove up. That is looking for his first save in two weeks and he will be the 475th of his major league career. Angels trying to go up 3 to 2 on the Royals for the season. Series one more Royals a quick 123 inning for Kenley Jansen’s 475th career save. And the Angels beat Kansas City tonight three to two.

Angels will never return to the playoffs again🥀
Hello friends. Rangerbob here! I would like to inform you that the Kansas City Royals have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Such a shame seeing the second best shortstop in the AL wasting away with this lowly franchise. Better luck next year boys. Rangersforever❤
Way to go Halos!
Good game!
Kikuchi had it going on in this one. He was amazing for the first two thirds of the Season.. then something happened to him as it did for the rest of the team. Glad to see him end the Season with a win. Jansen.. man the guy was money all year. No way we get to keep him next year.. he was a breath of fresh air man, best closer in I don't know how long. Just ANOTHER Halo Victory!
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. 😊 Amen.
As long as the Angels don’t strikeout more than 10 times in the game, they have a chance to win
The Los Angeles Angels are 71-87🔴⚪️👼😇
Great win Angels 71-87
