Insider drops MASSIVE Stars trade report… – This is PERFECT
A NHL insider dropped a massive trade report surrounding the Dallas Stars as they’ve been linked to not one but two players from the Calgary Flames heading into next season. But not only that, we get a huge update on Jason Robertson and exactly where the Dallas Stars stand with their forward heading into the final year of his contract. We’re to break down this report linking them to a center and a defenseman coming out of the Calgary Flames organization. But not only that, a update on exactly where they stand with the current dollar amount with Jason Robertson. We’re going to break down all this and so much more later on this episode. Before we get into it, I just want to give a huge shout out to everyone watching. And if you’re part of the 76.8% watching this and you haven’t hit the sub button yet, but you want to stay up to date on everything to do around the NHL, from the Dallas Stars to the Nashville Predators all the way to the Ottawa Centers, make sure to go down, hit that free subscribe button. It helps a bunch. and in return, we’ll give you daily updates from all around the league. But with that, let’s just dive straight into this. And before we get into the two players from the Calgary Flames that they have been linked to, we’re going to dive into this report on Jason Robertson heading into the final year of his contract. Now, looking at this report coming from Jeff Merrick via the sheet, he says, “I think Dallas wants to resign Jason Robertson. I just don’t think they want the number anywhere close to Mo Rantin.” Now with this obviously yes they want to bring back Jason Robertson one of their star fords and still very young but they don’t want to hit that 12 million threshold with their Ford after giving this to Miko Ranson in last season. Now the big thing with Jason Robertson his projected contract right now is 7 years at 10.9 million. The young forward came off an 80point season including 35 goals just last year. Jason Robertson is one of the best goal scorers in the NHL. still 26, very young, and can play within this lineup on a top line, the second line, and you can go third, but why would you want to? Jason Robertson is a huge priority heading into this season with the Dallas Stars wanting to keep their forward. Now, the big thing is, and later on this episode, I’m going to break down the contracts and how this and trades affect the Dallas Stars moving forward. But Jason Robertson is a guy that they need to lock up. They can’t let Robertson walk for nothing. So if they do end up trading, which I don’t think they should do, they would get a complete halt. We’ve seen multi 40 goal seasons, 41 goals, 46 goals, and then backto back basically 30 plus goal seasons from Jason Robertson with him continuing to get better, working on his game and hitting the peak of his career, getting him locked up for that 10 to 11 million range, which seems like a lot at the current moment. Well, with the new CBA coming in, with all these new uh salary cap raises, we’re seeing the cap jump almost 10 mil each season. So, locking up Robertson, you can just look at this and say, “Hey, we’ll give them 10 million.” And that’s the money right there. The next season, you have an extra 10 to work with to sign more contracts. But getting him with this organization for an extended period of time is definitely what they need to do. Now, looking at the lineups, obviously, they have a deep team, one of the best teams in the Western Conference. They want to go on a run. They want to win a Stanley Cup. Every single line can go out and compete. Yes, the fourth line you’re not going to start as a starting lineup, but still a rough and tough gritty line that you can put out at any moment. The big thing with this is, and it goes straight into the trade reports, is what do the Dallas Stars need within their organization. And that’s where we get multiple reports coming in from Pier Lebron and Jeff Merrick. Neither sides want to totally close the door on having extension talks. I do think Anderson might potentially listen if an 8-year offer was on the table. I think more than likely a trade is the likeliest outcome. Now, we’ve seen Rasmus Anderson link to this Dallas Stars team multiple times where they could go in and solidify their back end even more. Yes, you would have to move out some contracts like Leouchkin or someone else, but the big thing is adding another top four defenseman to an already stacked team ahead of Jake Alinger, one of the best goalenders in the league, is a recipe for success when going through the NHL. But this is where Jeff Merrick comes in and says they’re not only going to be names attached to Rasmus Anderson, but also Nazam Cadre. Now, this is very interesting. I cannot see them going out to acquire both Nasmondre and Anderson as this is a lot of cap space coming through. Yes, you would get Rasmus Anderson on the last year of his deal. Yes, it won’t be too big at the moment, but signing him to an 8 by8.8 contract would cost a pretty penny going into the following off seasonason. Last season, 31 points with his projected cap hit on the side. Yes, you can give him this contract and not worry as he’s going to age into a great defender. But the big thing is when it ties back into Jason Robertson, things get a little more confusing. Now, looking at Rasmus Anderson, one of the best two-way defenseman in the NHL, going out to have a careerhigh of 50 points just four seasons ago, then followed by 49, 39, and 31. with him being stationed on a team like the Calgary Flames that is kind of rebuilding, his production is not going to look as good as if he’s going out to play with someone like Thomas Harley every single night who is blossoming into a stir. Now, looking at this and before we get into Cadri and everything else moving in Rasmus Anderson, you’re going to have to move some out on the back end. Yes, you can move him out. You can ship out Labushkin right now, bring in Rasmus Anderson and play that as your top four with Londonquist as your bottom option, but the biggest thing is when you’re moving into next year, having to sign Thomas Harley to a new contract with Rasmus Anderson needing a new one. This would be a lot of money that the Dallas Stars would have to dish out. But if you want a one-year rental, there’s not many better options that they can look at on the open market. But it goes straight into the second guy of Nasam Kadri. Now with Kadri, Kadri would come in and immediately fill in the middle six, making it one of the strongest center cores in the NHL. A big cap hit at 7 million. Still three more years, not including this year left on his contract. Bringing in this contract, you would want retained salary. Now, this would cost a lot more than just acquiring the forward. But when looking at the center depth, it doesn’t seem like a lot of sense to bring in Cadri unless you’re looking at moving one of the centers to the winger position. Maybe Wyatt Johnson or Matt Duchain hints fasca. One of these guys moves over, but then you’re adding 7 million in salary with multiple guys still needing contracts at the end of the season, which makes it even more confusing when you’re looking at this. Now, yes, do I think one of these guys could go to Dallas? Yes, I think there’s a strong chance. Rasmus Anderson seems like the most likely, but with the current construction of this roster, just looking at the forge, you need to sign Jason Robertson to a new contract. Jamie Ben if he comes back is going to be on a very cheap deal once again. Maverick Borick, you can work your way down on the forward group that needs to be extended. But then looking at defense as well, Thomas Harley will probably get a bridge deal or unless they want to go eight years with him. He is going to get a significant raise from his 4 million working your way through. The goalenders are locked up. You don’t need to worry about this. But Dallas fans, what is your thoughts on this? Would you like to see maybe Jason Robertson get this big extension? not worry about adding anything else? Do you think the team is deep enough or do you rather them go out to kind of feel the offers on a guy like Rasmus Anderson or even Nazum Cadry? Now listen, I’m not saying go out to trade Jason Robertson for one or both these guys. But there is a real world where they’re going to start listing offers on their fords to make this a deeper and competitive and listen, they’re already deep and very competitive, but they can still build a even better team throughout the season. What are you guys thoughts on this? Let me know down in the comments. While you’re down there, leave a like, subscribe, share this with your friends. We’ll back another episode to keep your eye out for that.

The Stars only have one above-average LW, and they already have 3 really good D. This trade makes no sense for Dallas. Kadri makes too much as a fourth-line C (worse than the other 3 Dallas already has).
2:14 Robertson wouldn’t walk for nothing…he’s an RFA
