St. Louis Cardinals CHOKE Defensively And Are Officially ELIMINATED

The St. Louis Cardinals forget how to play defense and are officially eliminated from postseason contention. Hey, it’s JD from Locked on Cardinals. And mathematically coming into Wednesday night’s game against the Giants, the Cardinals were still alive for that third wild card spot. They had their number one on the mound in Sunny Gay. So things were lined up pretty good and then just I don’t know how to play defense anymore. Three errors on the night out of nowhere, including an inexcusable drop in right field by Jordan Walker, which led to a run. Andrew Kisner, Andrew Kizner becomes the latest former Cardinal to burn the team. He rips a line drive to center field in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Victor Scott makes an ill-advised diving attempt that he wasn’t even close. Ball goes all the way to the wall. Ends up being an RBI triple to give the Giants a 4 to3 lead. And that is how it ended. Not that the Cardinals had much of a chance to get into the dance at the end of the season, but to completely pee down your leg defensively in a must-win scenario, incredibly disappointing.   1. Not only did Walker make the error to give them a run which was the difference in the game, he comes up to the plate in the 9th with a runner on 1st and 0 outs and grounds out into a double play. Would have rather him strike out in that spot like he typically does.

I'm going to give you a good example why I'm not on the Manfred gadgets and gizmos train…..You literally watched a baseball player ( Sagasse) have his AB completely stolen from him tonight over one of Manfred's dumb "Timed" rules. Is that good for baseball? Taking a actual AB away from the batter without ever having swung the bat in a pivotal moment with runners on?

  5. Well that was a bit of a disappointment. Couldn't believe the errors. The ONE thing Cards fans truly expect from the team is excellent defense, the fundamentals. The occasional error, sure. It'll happen. But 3 in one game? Inexcusable. The baserunning gaffs lately have been inexcusable, too. That's just fundamental. Lack of productive hitting I can live with. Lack of baseball fundamentals I can not.

  9. Well could it be to much celebration the night before. 😅 twighlight zone with 3 errors from a good defensive team. Walker i wasnt surprised because it took awhile for the one off the glove but why at that time. Andrew Kizner? Oh yeah i was ready for that burn hit. Thats Kiz's game, i would be cheating in from CF for that dump in. Now its wait again till next year. Now we have to watch the cubs in the PO again up here in Chicagoland!🤢😠 I just hope the rapture doesnt happen before we can get to the WS🎉🏆⚾️

  10. Anyone claiming trading Donovan for a pitcher because he brings the highest return is completely off their rocker.
    100% truth. #1 he's durable daily (not injury prone) like someone claims. 2. He brings high-level daily while a s.p. is every 5th game.
    Please stop taking a page from the scrub fans junk drawers.

  13. Walker and Gorman still have some work to do, they have improved this year. I hope they keep most of their line up Donovan,Winn,and Nootbar have a high ceiling at affordable salaries. Contreras and Aranado are big contracts but play very well at their positions, it would be smart to develope a great defensive 3rd baseman to replace Aranado when his contract is up. Build a better rotation next year and improve the batting and scoring wherever possible without compromising defense and dont let Burleson go either he improves every yr
