NFL Week 4 preview: Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers | Chris Simms Unbuttoned | NFL on NBC

I won’t have to deal with you as your buddy Aaron Rogers takes on my Vikings. I’ll have to get up a little earlier than I would have in East Coast time to see this game because we are going to Dallas for the Packers Cowboys game. I have yet to pick either the Vikings or the Steelers to lose. So, something’s got to give unless I project a tie, which you know isn’t impossible. The Vikings favored by two and a half. the Steelers playing in their kind of unofficial home away from home because there are strong connections between the Steelers and Ireland. Dan Rooney was the ambassador to Ireland in the Obama administration. So, they’ve wanted to play this game in Ireland for a long time. I think there’s extra emotion in it for the Steelers and they need something because last week they were outplayed, they still won. Week one, arguably they were outplayed, they still won. Can the Steelers take it on the road across the Atlantic Ocean as two and a half point underdogs with an overunder of 44.5 and beat the Minnesota Vikings and the resurgent at least for one game, Carson Wentz. Yeah, I I think uh I look at this game I’ve gone back and forth thinking about it this week. I’m I’m going to go I don’t have any great brilliant X’s and O’s looking here. I’m going to go gut a little bit and just go I feel like this is a game the Steelers will win, right? I’m going to I’m going to go with their maturity a little bit. the guy at quarterback, them being able to handle the travel a little bit there. Minnesota, we know the crazy defense, the things they do creative on that side of the ball. Aaron Rogers, I think, is the kind of quarterback that can quiet some of that down and won’t make mistakes. Is this the week the Steelers can run the football? That’s a big part of the game that I look at because Minnesota’s, if there’s a weakness to them, they can’t they’re not great at stopping the run. So, can they do something there? and then help out Rogers in the offense. I I’ve been disappointed in Pittsburgh’s defense. They didn’t deserve to win last week, but in typical Pittsburgh way, when we see them in years like this, where maybe they’re not as dominant, they still make plays in big moments. I’m going to take the, you know, the the feel, the gut, whatever, pasta, meatballs, that the defense starts going in the right way. And this is one here where Carson Wentz makes a few mistakes. Aaron Rogers does it and they win a game over in Ireland here. I’m going to go Steelers 23-20. Man, almost another bingo bingo bongo right out of the gates. Look, one of these weeks the Steelers are going to have a good day offensively and a good day defensively. And I don’t know that Sunday will be the day, but I’m with you. I feel like the Steelers will have that advantage. I typically in a matchup of backup quarterback and starting quarterback, I’m I’m already inclined, right, to go with the team that has its starter. And for me, this was pasta and meatballs the moment I saw that the Vikings were the team that had drawn the short straw to play the Steelers in Ireland. And I decided back then, April, May, whenever it was, Vikings are going to lose that game. Doesn’t matter. Nothing else matters. This is a game the Steelers win just like they did on that day in January of 1975 when they got together on a neutral site in New Orleans. This isn’t the first neutral sight game between those two teams since then. They played in London in 2013. The Vikings won that day as the Vikings new stadium was being built so they could give up home games more easily. This time around, Steelers win 24-21. Opportunistic defense. Aaron Rodgers. Look, we saw what he did to the Jets and he enjoyed beating the Jets. Didn’t say anything until after the game about how the Jets didn’t want him. They didn’t think he could play. He’s going to say the same thing after he beats the Vikings. Hey, I called them. They weren’t interested. You get what you get. What is it? Win uh play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I could have been in Minnesota. They didn’t want me. And now I’ve beaten them. All right. Yo yo homies, it’s time to watch some games. That’s right. 1. Rodgers can't even move in the pocket anymore and the Vikings defense are great at rushing the QB. I won't be surprised if this is a blowout win for the Vikings. But to make it more interesting, I think the scores will be Vikings 27, Steelers 17.

  2. Aaron Rodgers threw 3 interceptions vs the Vikings in London with the Jets. Currently the Vikings are #1 in rushing the QB and Rodgers is in last place against the rush. Vikings are 7-0 in international play.

  3. Aurthur Smith is the only coordinator to take his best WR off the field for a TE and then split TE out wide lol how does that make any sense lol this dude needs to go!!!

  4. Rodgers played them last year and gave up a pick 6. Plus, no mention of how smith and Darrisaw contributed last week nor the return of Addison. If the Steelers D is at its top level, the. Kings are going to score. A lot.

  5. Vikings had the number 2 rush defense in the NFL lasy year abd were missing 4 starters on defense week 2 vs the Falcons. 3 of them are back now. Viks were also missing 4 starters on offense
