Why Saints Should NOT Bring Back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
Should New Orleans pursue Chanty Garner Johnson and bring him back to the Saints? No, absolutely not. When I look at New Orleans, this is very simple. Ain’t no way in hell he’s signing with the New Orleans Saints. And right now, the reality is Chanty Garner Johnson on the New Orleans Saints doesn’t affect your win total one lick. So, am I more interested in seeing a young guy like Yonas Sanker get reps and continue to develop or bringing in Chanty Garner Johnson who might make you a little bit better on the back end but not really going to affect your win total? Give me Yonas Sanker. And maybe more importantly even than that is culture. You got a rookie head coach who’s 37 years old who’s struggling out the gate. They just had an embarrassing loss. Do you really want to introduce Chanty Garner Johnson, that element, that variable into your locker room where he may do the same things in New Orleans that clearly he was doing in Houston that caused him to cut him despite the fact that they sent a former first round pick to Philly to get him back in March.

Matt does have a good point about CEEDY Deuce coming in and disrupting the locker room. But at the same time Alonte Taylor has been looking really bad. For cheap maybe, but I’d rather see Quincy and Kool Aid getting reps on the outside and Taylor back in the nickel and dime packages guarding TE, RBs, and the occasional blitzes.
We need him n reid together let Kool aid n Riley getting reps n Danny but it's the defense the offense just missing Tysom hill foster n Dillon n Ruiz
Been there, did that
He just breath some life into our dead ass defense we need some edge some damn heart I think he brings that element.
Yes they should
But we need him more than they need us
This team soft we need to bring him back
We need help on other side of taylor he cant be on both sides at same time Who dat
Yup
Matt don’t make since y not get him to a team that refuses to accept rebuild keep kicking the can New Orleans
Nope!
Hell no we don't need Ceedy Deuce back! We are REBUILDING!! Making roster moves for nostalgia does not expedite our rebuild. Developing our young guys will. Let's get a long look at Sanker. And while we're at it, let's see more of Stutsman and Riley too.
Hell no. Dudes a head case.
Did he trash the Saints after he left…Hell No!!!
I know Sanker is a rookie but he looked lost and confused in Seattle. He was one of the problems on the defense that you complain about yet you support Sanker. Can't have both.
Maybe he needs a vet to learn from. Get who makes the team better.
I'm nicknaming Koolaid – Chase, and Taylor – Follow
Sometimes the rookie and young player needs veteran leadership to watch, learn, and discuss what they saw or just experienced. The injury was very bad for the Saints.
People seem to understand QBs needing time to learn and develop in the NFL, yet think defenders learn through screwing up and playing badly when they are not ready. These guys are not ready.
He would be horrible for team morale
He Helped Kellen Moore Win A Super Bowl Duh 🙄 With The Eagles. Dumb A.
We need him now
He gets beat constantly. Keep him
I know we probably can’t afford but I’m sorry Matt I’m usual on your side but Want him back in New Orleans asap
This is why Saints will remain the AINTS.
When the AINTS are 3-9 they'll reconsider but it'll be too late 😂.
There are no play-makers on this defense …
Not at all. Ceedy Deuce might be nice to have for the sake of the young guys, but we don't need the headache that comes with him.
