Rockies vs. Mariners: Full Game Highlights (9/24/25)
Pretty simple. The Mariners win tonight and they win their first division title since 2001. It was back in 2022. The Mariners went out. They made the biggest splash at the deadline. They acquired Luis Castillo from the Cincinnati Reds. It was Castillo who became the Mariners ace and game one starter that year in the postseason. And with that in mind, maybe fitting in some ways that it is Luis Castillo himself who is up on the mound tonight here in Seattle with a chance to pitch the Mariners to a division championship. Goodman. High ride out to right field. Victor Roé waits for a while. Two outs. Castillo has been incredible at home this year. A 2.71 erra inside T-Mobile Park. Average of just barely over 200 against him here in Seattle. Shallow right field coming in. Robus is there waving his arms calling for it. Victory is there. First inning. Cal Raleigh sitting on 58 home runs on the season. More than any Mariner in a single year. And he’s having the kind of season where if you’re at the ballpark or you’re listening on the radio, you can’t take your eyes off of him. Fly ball. Watch it fly. Count Raleigh. How far? Wow. Number 59. Only Judge Maris and Babe Ruth have ever hit more in American League history. And that you talk about a no doubter over. They hit it here. Cafe into the upper tank in right field. A historic home run for Cal Raleigh. Cal has become the eighth player in this ballpark’s history to homer to the upper deck. One of just eight to ever go upper tank right field at T-Mobile Park. One of the great takeaways from Cal’s historic season is the variety of home runs that he has set. And obviously being a switch hitter, it just amplifies that. But that was one of a kind. Julio a tag left field. This ball gone. Cal and Julio backto back jack. That was a rocket. Swinging a drive deep down the right field line. Lies shot. Goodbye baseball. J for Palanco with a line drive. Home run down the right field line. Three home runs for the Mariners here in the bottom of the first and the Mariners are racing to the finish line to grab the top spot in the American League West. The party has started early tonight for the Mariners. Dom Kzone leaves it off. Three home runs for the Mariners in the first inning. Second time this season the Mariners have hit three homers in an inning. Well, this is on the barrel, splits the gap, finds the base of the wall. Ganzone is into second base. He’s got himself a stand up double. That ball is tacked. Take care of these Colorado Rockies. Check swing and that hit him. So Vic Roadless checking a swing was hit by a pitch and the Mariners have two on with two outs now here in the bottom of the second. That’ll bring up Cal Raleigh. Well, he just kind of gets a piece and lobs this into the corner. It skims all the way into right field. Camzone scores. Head down sprint. Victor Rob touches home. Rockies do not have a hit so far tonight. The last two outings for Castillo against the Rockies were dominant. Seven innings of shut out baseball in the largest just two hits in each of his last two outings against Colorado. Center field well hit. And this one’s gone again. Blaine Crim up the no hitter. Breaks up the shut out with a home run to dead center. his fifth in 11 ball games for the Rockies. Also extends his hit streak to eight games. That ball just kept going. Crawford with a base hit. Now the Mariners have him on the corners for the top of the order. The opposite way sailing back, sailing onto the track and the catch is made. Roblace Waltz is home. It’s a sacrifice fly from a Rose Arena. 6-1 Mariners. We got Naylor Sailors here. Did you see that last night? I like it. Most popular man in Seattle not named Cal Raleigh is Josh Naylor ground ball up the middle center field base hit JP Crawford a one-way ticket home he scores standing closing in on a division title Luis Castillo has been brilliant season high nine strikeouts for Luis Castile he has been dealing all night long he’s retired 20 of the 21 he has seen tonight shaping up to be one of the best starts of the year for Castile swung on and missed. Pulls it by him. 96. The Castile Flex. Strike out number 10 on a brilliant night from Luis Castile. There’s two away. Here comes Gino. Gino at the wall. Gone. We saw some big swings on the road. We said we talked about being inconsistent. The swing of miss is up a little bit, but man, you do that. Maybe it just takes that one swing to get some of that consistency. Just carry it out there to right field. Number 48 for AU Hano Suarez. One shy of a career best. We’re talking about Gina getting going stretch off big fly. So two away and here comes Cal Raleigh and everybody rising to their feet all at one time. They’re looking for even more history. Swinging a drive deep to right field. There it is. Number 60, the modernday Bambido. A catcher has hit 60 home runs. Your MVP moment, Cal Romy. How about that? His name is even with Babe Ruth. He has connected the past with the present and a stand ovation for the modernday band being Ocal Raleigh. His mom and dad his family here at the ballpark tonight. We go back to the last time they won the AL West title. That would be 2001. Dan Wilson behind the dish. Six scoreless from Jamie Moyer. Boone catches that one. And there they are, the AL West champs on this historic night on a Wednesday evening, September the 24th. The Mariners one out away from an American League West Division title. Ball game. The Mariners win. Seattle, you’ve waited long enough. It’s time to party like it’s 2001. The Mariners are the 2025 American League West champions. Just speechless. You know, this is what we’ve been working so hard for and we know this city is dying for and we’re so happy that you guys are here to see it. I love this team. I love the city. I love my parents. Thank you for being here. And I just I’m so happy for our guys. We’re going to celebrate tonight and uh you know, like I said, we’re going to we’re not done yet. Most people heard what I said last night. You know, might as well win the whole thing. Can’t thank these guys enough. What an incredible group. They fought hard the the entire season. And you guys have been there every step of the way. Thank you for turning Team Wal into one of the loudest ballparks in this league. They fought hard. They fought strong. And we got a lot of more fun baseball ahead of us. So stay with us.
The Mariners clinched the AL West with a 9–2 win at home, highlighted by Cal Raleigh’s 59th and 60th home runs of the year. Julio Rodríguez, Jorge Polanco, and Eugenio Suárez added homers of their own, while Luis Castillo struck out a season-high 10 to set the tone on the mound. A big night all around as Seattle celebrated its AL West title.

1st.. Lets go M's AL west Champs…
First time since ive been born that the Seattle Mariners are Division Champions
I don't even remember the last time we won an AL west title
Are they going to choke in the playoffs like they did in 2001?
The Seahawks have won a superbowl, the Seattle storm has won a championship in the WNBA it is now time for baseball, it is time for the Seattle Mariners to win the pennant. It's your turn.
Above all else never quit or give up.
Might as well win the whole fucking thing
This is almost too good to be true! They actually did it. The Mariners won the division. AL West Champions. So many years, so many missed playoffs by a game or two. King Felix’ whole career came and went.
60 home runs by a switch hitting catcher?! get outta here! And Luis Castillo absolutely SHOVED. The whole rotation is really peaking and finally playing to their potential just in time for the playoffs. This was like a showcase or a victory lap of the Mariners not just winning but putting out a STATEMENT: they belong in October, they have arrived, they are champions.
SoDo Mojo!
1995, 2001, 2022 & 2025.
I was only a year old the last time the Mariners won the division back in 2001, im 25 years old now. Its been a long time coming!
I've been a fan since the days of Alvin Davis, Harold Reynolds, Mike Moore, Mark Langston, Julio Cruz, etc… We've seen superstars like Ken Griffey, Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Randy Johnson, Edgar Martinez, Ichiro, etc… This is a special team! Go Mariners!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING 24 YEARS AND IT WAS WORTH IT OMG GO MS
Was there at the game IT WAS ELECTRIC
