Washington Nationals James Wood Reaches 30-Homer Mark In First Full Season
It’s all about the young 23-year-old slugging outfielder James Wood. The MLB even gave James Wood his own shout out as he reached the 30 home run mark in his first full season. With this mark, Wood is the first Washington Nationals player to hit the 30 mark since Juan Sodto and Anthony Rendone had 34 during that memorable 2019 World Series winning season, which folks in DC remember very well. With three more games left on the national schedule, the question now becomes just what will Wood’s final home run bar be. This might not come as a surprise to avid Nationals fans as Wood had 24 homers during the season’s first half. Wood’s two home runs Wednesday and Josh Bell’s home run helped the Nationals win 4-3, snapping the Atlanta Braves 10game winning streak. Also coming out of the Nationals ballpark is a new head of baseball operations being named.
