Houston Astros vs Oakland Athletics – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 25, 2025 MLB Season
Altuve goes down on the slider as Gin picks up a strike out of the first batter he faces. That’s amazing to me. If you just played 500 ball with them on the mound, this might be a completely different scenario for the Astros the last four games. But a couple of base runners on early. That’s a good sign. Carlos Kareah drawing a walk. There is a ball pass the diving second baseman Daryl Hern being waved around is Esoach Parade as he’s going to jog home and the Astros have their first lead in the last six games. It’s one- nothing thanks to Keratini. Slowly hit to third. It’s going to be a tough play to turn two. They get the out at second and safe at first is Walker. Herz wasn’t sure if they were able to turn that double play. He’s looking at the dugout to see if they want a challenge in the leadoff spot today. Goes after the first pitch and ropes it into left in front of Taylor Tra. So the A’s start their bottom half of the first inning with a clean single in the left. The leadoff hit to Shay Laneers. Zack Cole flares one into right. Could be in a tough spot. It’s going to drop in for a hit. Cole’s going to get to second as Brett Rooker could not handle it cleanly. Don’t think it would have mattered as Cole was on the move as soon as he popped that ball to right. He has a little double to start the inning. Cole trying to steal. The pitch is down and a stolen base for Cole on the walk to Duban. That puts runners on first and third with one out. That’s the first big league steal of Zack Cole’s career and he gets third base. Behind Alt 1 and0 Alt drives one down the line and left. That’s a fair ball heading toward the corner. Zack Cole scores. Duban being held up and it’s a three nothing Astros lead. Jos Altuve drives in run number 76 on the year. Line drive base hit. Duban will score. Altuve to third. It’s four nothing Astros. Isach Paredes with an RBI. Played double play depth. This is slowly hit. No chance to turn two. Astros get a fifth run on the ground out by Kareah. Aluve scores and it’s five nothing with a three-run second. Little tapper. Kareah was in on the first pitch. Back on this pitch. It doesn’t matter. Carlos shows off the arm to finish off a one, two, three inning. From maybe a little bit of an issue in that delivery for Valdez, but the posture looks great and he looks like he’s back into form with the swing and miss and getting round balls. There’s a ball into right center field. It’ll be down for a hit. Macyver thinking about advancing and a collision between the right fielder Sanchez and the center fielder Cole allows Macyver to get to third without a throw. Ground ball towards third. Kareah to second for one. Alt’s turn. They get the double play. Robert Valdez a double play specialist. And that one just misses up maybe off the plate as well. That’ll be the Line drive that’s going to get home a run. Around third comes Tal. He’s going to score. Altuve heads to third and he will be safe at third. RBI single for Paris and the Astros now lead 6 nothing. Some check swings a lot of foul balls and he ends up drawing the walk. It’s a great played appearance by Victor Keratini. 17th played appearance for Walker with a bases loaded. He delivers an RBI base hit. Paradus with that hamstring being held at third. It’s now 7 nothing Astros. Walker with his second RBI of the day. There’s a line drive knocked down by Caros off his gloves. Loaded up a little bit, but Trel gets to it in a hurry and keeps Kobe Thomas from advancing. But Nick Curts has his 19th hit of the season against the Astros. The Angels beginning tomorrow for the final series of the year. Hey, the Sacramento kid has a base hit here in his hometown. It’s going to go all the way to the wall. Trel’s blinding and he is going to try to score. The throw by Wilson is going to be not in time. Duban’s going to head to third. He’s in there safely. Astros lead eight to nothing. Jose pops it up with the infield in. Hern has to try and find it. He doesn’t see it. It’s going to drop in. And here comes Dubon trying to score. And Duban’s going to get in as that ball’s not handled cleanly. Oh, ground ball to the right side. Nick Curts will make the play. He’ll take it himself for the final out of the inning. The Astros add two more. It’s now a nine nothing game. We’re halfway home. 348 with a,8s and he’s three for three today and he’s seven for his last seven in the series. on the ground towards the middle. Stopped by Dvon and he gloves it to Altbe for the fourth down as Cole goes down on three pitches. That’s a five pitch inning for Veto as he gets the Astros in order here in the sixth. 02 pitch is golf deep to left field and all the way back is Trel. He’ll watch it go. 34 on the year for Nick Curts as he hits one out the other way against Bra Valdez to ruin the shut out here in the sixth inning. Little tapper Kareah is going to have to charge. Trouble bare hands and he falls on the ground as he thought about trying to make a play. Hopefully Carlos is okay. It looks like he’s fine. Tigers are the closest to the Astros. There’s a base hit for Aras coming off the bench with a single and the Outos have their 10th hit of the day and now have two runners on with one out. Central teams for the last wild card spot. That ball down the line and right and Kareah has a base hit to the corner in to score Dubon. The Astros with double figures. It’s a 10 to one game as Carlos Koreah drives in his second run of the game with a double. Keratini down on strikes. Foul tip caught by Macyver to end the inning, but another run on two hits in a walk and the Astros lead 10 to one. Ground ball towards short. Duban backhands his throw in time. Braber Valdez has his best outing in a while. Seven innings of one-run baseball. He strikes out 10 and he walks off the mound with the Astros leading 10 to one. Scott Mcu is on this mound now. gives up a rocket on the first pitch. That ball off the top of the wall and gone. Christian Walker hitting his 24th home run of the season takes the first pitch he sees in the eighth inning and hits one out to give the Astros an 11 to1 lead. Walker now with 84 RBI’s on the year. Pretty good pitch. Cole thought it was low, but it’s a called third strike. That’ll be the second out of the inning. And then he goes down on strikes. Mcuff after the leadoff home run gets the next three hitters. We head to the bottom of the eighth. Ball punched into center field on the one-two pitch. Colobby Thomas has a base hit. Be a one out base runner. That one’s golfed high in the air to deep left. And has he done it again? Yes, he has. The AL Rookie of the Year in 2025 has had two opposite field home runs today. That’s his ninth home run of the season against the Astros in 10 games. Well, hopefully he was going to the cooler to get a drink. Swing and a miss. There’s a strike out for Delos Santos in the second out of the inning. Batting for a fifth time. Duban has been on base three times and scored three runs. He grounds the first pitch to third. Brett Harris will make the play and there’s one away here in the ninth. Fine drive caught by Fred Harris on a jumping catch. Aas hit it well. He’s hit some tough luck outs in this series. A ball into right. Shallow coming on as JJ Bled and he makes a nice backhand play and tumbles over for the final out here in the ninth. Ball hit to left. Trl coming over and he can’t make the play. It’ll go all the way to the wall. That’ll be the fourth hit for Langalers in back-to- back games as he doubles to the wall and left. Members on his coaching staff, Shay Langalers win. Brent Osmus was the bench coach here. This ball hit pretty well to right. Cam Smith can’t make the play. It’s off the wall and bounds away from Cam in to score Langalers. JJ Blade with an RBI double. It’s now an 11 to4 game. entrusting it into Brian Abra proceeds to throw the first pitch to the back stop. Last time he was on the bump was on the 20th against Seattle. Anaheim ground ball is going to score a run. Kareah with a nice short pop pick and that’s the first out of the inning. Got him. Ball game over. Brian Abrau closes it out and the Astros with a much needed 115 win snapping a fivegame losing streak and they keep their hopes for that wildcard picture alive. They still have an opportunity.

Oh wow NOW they want to play
The Athletics pitched a crappy pitcher and gave the Astros new life. They left him in until the game was out of reach.
Is it not over till itβs over!!!!
We havenβt lost six in a row since 2021!!!
Great stat!!!
Yep, I think the A's felt sorry for the Astros today,,,,,knowing beating the Angels next will be a challenge. Framber new hair dooo gives him magical powers anddddd He knew His job is on the cutting board for 2026. His attitude Hurt The Astros. Astros wheels start coming off when our pitching changed but think goodness Astros had enough runs ….. to win. π§‘ππ§‘ππ§‘
I'm gonna blame the coach ,did you see the Astros as reckless behavior at the end ? If the team is winning ,that's when you want to secure the game in the end.
Even with absolutely no pressure the bullpen allows 4 runs in just two innings. Is it me or is that a lot of runs?
Nick Kurtz hits opposite field pop ups out of the park.
