An interesting fact about Weis is that he was drafted 15th overall in the 1999 draft by the Knicks and he didn’t play not one game with them. Talk about a wasted draft pick.

  1. Legendary! I wish I was old enough to watch prime Vince Carter what a treat! For those who were old enough, is there anybody in the league day or the past 15 years that reminds you of Vince having first hand experience?

  2. Idk everytime I watch this he was so hype if KG was like 3 inches closer he would have gotten socked lol, VC didn’t know he was that close or even there.

  3. This and the Curry flurry to end the 2024 Olympics might be the two top highlights of all time for USA basketball.

  4. Drafted by the Knicks over a local boy then known as Ron Artest. I was watching the draft thrilled that NY had a chance to get Artest. Then this.

  5. You know—Ant Edwards always gets compared to MJ outta this generation but does anyone else kinda see the parallels to Air Carter more? Like the style of dunking, the shooting range that Vince eventually developed, sorta lower key game as far as taking shit over, giving hope to a moribund northern franchise…. Like vince carter with bigger personality?

  6. This shit is filthy and VC should be ashamed . Bruh imagine playing against team USA, the score being not really close but not out of hand yet. Still having some hope for a miracle and then you watch this happen to your best rim protector. Like fuck man, I’m sure they would rise a white flag if they could

  7. Bro said that shit put him into depression..

    Vince violated something serious lol..

Maybe he ain’t read the scouting report, but you gotta know as soon as he gets a clear lane, he was going to start flying..

  8. That was a sweet behind the back pass from #8. He doesn’t get any credit, but he’s a major part of one of the best dunks in basketball history.

  9. I just realized he is doing a volleyball approach on this dunk. I am pretty sure Vince played volleyball, kinda cool to see him do it with a basketball.

  10. I remember seeing this back then and for a few secs I just froze because my mind couldn’t process what just happened. He dunked/jumped over a 7 footer in a real game…

  11. I’ve always loved the dichotomy of reactions, represented by KG’s enthusiasm and Vin Baker’s stankface

  12. This dunk is insane – it goes to show the level of class, or the amount players were scared of repercussions.

Think about when you see the worst dunk you’ve ever seen in a game…all the players leave their seat even bench warmers, the entire team on the court is high fiving and chest bumping.

These guys literally witness one of the best dunks ever, and other than Garnett just let him have his moment.

  13. All these years later and the hoops world is still reverberating from this dunk. And I don’t think it will ever stop.

This dunk ended a man’s career before it even began. Think about that.

  14. Being a kid and seeing this blew my mind. My buddy and I lowered our hoop to 7 feet and would throw alley oops until our wrists were too bruised to continue

  15. One of my favourite things of all time. KG’s reaction and VC almost hitting him in celebration… every angle captured here. There were and still are no words. So incredible. Thanks for sharing

  16. Until today, I still think this is the greatest play in basketball history. It’s been 25 years and I’m still at an awe when I watch it.
