We’re here to see the one, the only 18 Justin Jefferson. Ladies and gentlemen, [Applause] [Music] what’s up? What’s up, man? What’s up, man? How you doing? How you doing? What’s up? What’s up? Hi. Uh let’s have some fun, right? What were you guys thinking, man? I thought we was going to see some jets. Come with me, man. Come with me. There we go. My life is is great. You know, my I don’t have to go through uh the difficulties that they have to go through. He got that sauce. Don’t be don’t be nervous now. Hey, there we go. You know, for them, uh tomorrow is not promised. So, uh, just having that moment to to give back to them and, uh, to share that moment with him, uh, is always going to be special. I just I just want to give you an extra smile on your face. So Oh, it’s there. That’s the That’s the main goal. Take take as much time as you need. All right. Can I just get a quick hug? Of course, my brother. It’s just one moment that it takes uh that they’re going to remember for the rest of their lives. And who knows that that can be something that impacts a kid’s lives forever. were Colts fans. He was like, “Nope, I’m a Vikings fan.” I’m like, “All right, you a real one, man. You a real one, man.” Oh, y’all got the Oakleys. The white and gold one’s tough. Hey, you my dog, man. You my man. Most of us who are sports writers, you get into this because you want to be around the games that you loved as a kid. And Justin Jefferson kind of brings you back to being the kid and watching these guys and viewing them as superheroes. Thank y’all for for being here. This is special. This is special for me for sure. Have fun, brother. Have have as much fun as you want, man. The world is yours, my guy. All the things on the field, they go without saying. But I think if you really want to dig into who Justin Jefferson is as a person, this is crazy. He doesn’t have a lot of diva in him. I only see these things on movies. my parachute. He just kind of is authentically him. Dude, you’re my favorite receiver in the entire NFL. That’s what I’m talking about. That’s what I’m talking about. That’s fire. Oh, understanding that moment and that time with them, even if it’s for 10 minutes. You got some shades yet? Yes, we did. Okay. Okay. Taking that moment with them is is something that they will cherish for the rest of their life. Got a couple. Now you stacking like me. You realize they are very human. That these people who you view as superheroes are actually navigating some of the real world things that we all do on a daily basis. Inspire me every time, man. Hey, anytime, my guy. This is what I’m here for, man. It’s more to me than, you know, catching a football on Sundays. You know what I’m saying? Appreciate it. Of course. Been having fun. I think he embodies that. He’s what you would want in a face of the franchise wide receiver. At least in my opinion. Woo! You got that swag now, my guy. Yo, you got bling dot. You got the shades on. See you tomorrow. Yeah. Yes, sir. You don’t care about no necklace. You don’t care about no glasses. You just want a gritty. You got it down back, my guy. You want me to sign your jersey for you? Smiley face. You want me to draw a smiley face, Ben? Say thank you. Y’all got to wear those to the game. Oh yeah. You got to wear the 18. You got to wear a jewelry. Got to wear a chain. Thank y’all. Of course, man. Of course. Of course, man. Thank you for an amazing day. I got you, man. I’mma see y’all boys tomorrow. Hey, let me know you want to play 2K, dog. Bet. Say less. You tonight. Bet. Say less. Nice to meet y’all, man. It’s a beautiful night outside in Minneapolis. Perfect conditions inside as we get set for the Vikings home opener tonight. They welcome in the Atlanta Falcons for week two of Sunday Night Football. really looking forward to seeing the two young quarterbacks in this game. While the spotlight is certainly going to be on the quarterbacks, these wy old defensive vets are going to have a whole lot to say about it. Everything you got. Great chess match in that capacity tonight. [Music] This crowd is keyed up and ready to go for the Vikings home opener with week two of Sunday Night Football. Boy, this place, it has been loud since they opened the doors. It is absolutely pulsating in here right now. Obviously, um very disappointing uh performance tonight. So, I thought the defense battled. and it floats out to his right and all kinds of Vikings are all over him. Dallas Turner sacks first sack this season. It’s a loss of They held him to 105 in the red zone and really kept us in the football game um and just did not do enough clearly offensively. Play action, straight drop, hit from behind and sacked by London across the 30. Got the ball punched out. Eric Wilson is the man that stripped it. Especially in a game like this, you know, that’s a critical time to put the ball in the end zone and see if we can turn the momentum and allow our defense to play with a little bit of momentum. McCarthy smacked. He dropped it and it’s picked up by the Falcons and the Vikings have been turned over by the Atlanta Falcons. I thought our fans were phenomenal. um which which obviously makes it sting even more uh knowing that uh we had that kind of atmosphere and that and that that kind of uh support from our fan base. I thought our guys stuck stuck with it, hung together, showed the type of team togetherness they have. But in the end, we’ve got to start executing at a little higher level. We’ve got the greatest group ever in that locker room. Uh, I have nothing but confidence in in our staff and and myself to, you know, work with these guys and make sure we continually constantly chase improvement. And it’s early in the season. We’re one-on-one football team that’s going to try to win a game this week against a good team coming in. And we certainly want to uh make sure we play a lot better at home. That’s for darn sure. [Music] All right, guys. Good morning. So, let’s just talk about this uh very simply. Uh early on in the season, uh we’ve had one result where we’ve had to scratch and claw and and uh play 60 minutes and find that result. Uh we’ve had another one where uh we didn’t do enough as a football team, no matter what happened in any one particular phase, any one particular performance. We didn’t do enough. All right? There’s a lot of noise out there about everything. But let me just tell you what this game boils down to. Trust and commitment. All right? trust and commitment. Ask yourself the question uh at the very moment you walk off the practice field, what did I do today to prove to the guy next to me that I’m worthy of being trusted? Regardless of whether you’re going to be stepping into a role, all right, whether you’ve played that role many, many times, let’s see all 11 guys approach it the same way. You don’t do it by hoping. You don’t do it by justing around all week long and then deciding on Sunday it’s game day. I’m gonna get in my game day fit and I’m gonna turn it on. It just doesn’t happen like that. You’ve done it before. Find a way. Prepare in a way. Trust and commit. All right. Everything in your body and and your mind. All right. With the adversity that you are either personally feeling, we are feeling as a group. It’s just another Wednesday. Let’s just get our op on Sunday. I promise you. All right. If you guys focus on the process with the kind of detail and and the absolute conviction that is required in this moment and I’m just talking about Wednesday. I’m just talking about today. All right? Then we’ll have a good Wednesday. We’ll have a good Thursday. We’ll have a good Friday. And then when you show up at noon, all right, we are gifted with another opportunity. And you know what this opportunity is on Sunday? It’s growth. It’s a growth opportunity. Nothing in life that ever meant anything is easy. So, bite down, have some grit as a group, and let’s figure it out together. Nobody is more confident to do it than me. I can promise you that. And if you feel like you are, all right, don’t tell me, tell your teammates, and make sure they feel the same way. And let’s just go to work. All the trust in the world. Can’t wait to watch you do it. [Music] Carson Witz, what a thrill this has to be for him. This was his childhood team. The Minnesota Vikings one and one from the NFC North take on the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals from the AFC North. Back there you give everything you got today for the men in this huddle right now. We all we got in this we all we got. Let’s get in the rhythm today. Let’s start fast. Let’s execute. Put everything you did in practice to the tape. Tape got to be hot today. It got to be hot. And we do not go back into that locker room without a dub. First third down. Wentz back to pass. Throws over the middle. Caught. He’s got his man. It’s Oliver for the touchdown. [Applause] The Minnesota Vikings. Straight down the field on the undefeated Bengals and take a 6-0 lead. [Music] And now they face a Jake Browning led Cincinnati Bengals offense with a 70 lead. People who have to prove themselves are cornerbacks two, cornerbacks three, cornerbacks four. Like a lot of unproven guys. Isaiah Rogers, who I know the defensive coaches love. I know Brian Flores loves him, but he hasn’t played a lot of snaps as a starter in the NFL. A defense without any interceptions yet led the league last year. We got to get turnovers. Second and nine from the Vikings 29. takes the snap. Fourman rush. Jake floats to the left. Now he looks to run to the right. Now he throws. Picked off. Intercepted by Isaiah Rogers. Look out. He’s fast. 30 40 50 and is loose. Isaiah Rogers is gone. [Applause] I see that block right there. I knew I had to turn it over. We can hold. Let’s keep pressing. I mean, the Vikings believe very strongly in what they’re going to get from Isaiah Rogers, but can those guys go out there and prove it every day? Can those guys establish themselves as trustworthy players on the back end to solidify the depth of a room that is going to have to cover some very good wide receivers throughout the course of this season? First and 10. Two minutes to go first half. It’s been dominated by Minnesota, but Bengals can make things interesting. There’s a quickie right caught no band. His fifth catch. Lost the football. It’s Rogers again off and running. Oh my goodness. is gone. He runs it back for a second touchdown today. [Music] I promised my coach I going to bring him the ball this week and I told him I kept the first one and I went back to him. I said, “My bad, I’ll bring you another one.” went and got the second one. So, I just told him I’ll try to go get another one. Oh, wait. He’s busting out right there. I’m telling everybody on the sideline like I’m not done yet. So, I think just going out there and just seeing the ball right there that was my moment to take one of the shots at the peanut punch. But, you know, we just we just had a day today. Second and five. Chase looks down the field. He lost the football. Recovered by Minnesota. Guess who hit it out, Jim? Was it Rogers? It was Rogers. [Applause] This is going to be a day for the ages for Rogers and Flores. Just such perfect technique coming in. Rogers hitting that ball out. I mean, he he’s having the game of his life. You think that was a good offseason acquisition? I can’t believe this. I can’t. Y’all don’t understand. I just see everyone firsthand. I’m right there. It’s really snapping. Like, let me hold still, gang. Let me uh let me at least touch. Just as a team, as a defense, we just want to come back and respond. So, I think just us coming out there and creating those type of turnovers and, you know, Dline getting to the quarterback and making them force first turnover. So, you know, it’s just it’s just all team defense. [Applause] I told you all week. I said watch this game. I’m going to be here for help. He said it. Keep the camera on him today. I got my phone. I’ve been saying this week saying I just want to play better. I just want to showcase, you know, who Isaiah Rogers is and who Isaiah Rogers can be. And that’s just shout out to the guys throughout the week. I think in this league you win throughout the week and it doesn’t really just matters on Sunday. I think whatever the preparation throughout the week we had this weekend, it all just showed on Sunday. NFL [Applause] boy went. It’s another day at the office for him though. That’s why he’s so calm. Another day. Another day at the office. He play the reason why he made plays like that. Hey, he Hey, he make plays, man. That’s That’s why we got him here. That’s why we brought him here, man. He make plays. It’s simple.

  1. I'm so happy we have him on this team, he never causes any drama, he is a great person, he is always working so hard for this team to be great. Thank you for everything you do Justin. We love you here💜💛💜💛💜💛

  2. When i was a child i was in a place called st josephs home for children in south mpls. One day, Randy Moss came out to the orphanage to speak to us and meet us. I got lucky enough to be a part of the group of kids that got to see him in the gymnasium, and it was a cool experience but not nearly as personal as what JJ does. Not taking awaying anything from Moss, hes a good dude too but JJ is just an exemplary epitome of what a genuine and rich person should be.

  3. the best receiver in the league doesn’t earn the status alone by just his accolades, statistics and championships but by also how he carries himself how he treats his peers, how gentle and caring he is towards children less fortunate by his humbleness and kind heart it brings a tear to my eye knowing we have all of that in one 1️⃣ with Jjettas 😢
