Relive Noelvi Marte’s Season-Saving Catch As Heard on Reds and Pirates TV and Radio

He swings highf fly right field. Marte all the way back. Leaps at the wall. He caught it. He takes away a game tying home run. The biggest play from Mart in the outfield. He saves the day. I saw him after he caught the ball running to TJ Fredo like, well, does he have it? Does he not? That is an outstanding play. Getting to the wall, scaling and extending. Outstanding. That’s a great play. Pagan himself in stunned disbelief from oh no to oh yes. Careful with Brian Reynolds. Veteran Andrew McCutchen waiting in the on deck circle. And here is Pagan’s three- 0 pitch. Swung on. And there’s a drive high in the air deep right. Marte back at the track at the wall. He leaps and he caught it. Oh no way. What a grab. No to Elvie Marte. He robs Brian Reynolds of a game tying home run in the ninth. He was way up there. Wow. That made my heart skip a beat. I mean, there’s no doubt it was gone. Yeah, that was a home run. He went way over the wall to get it. Goodness. Almost snapped his shoulder out of socket. I mean, he was reaching way up and back to bring it back. I think Marte is taken to this right field thing. I mentioned earlier, he sure looks a lot better and he looked great on that play. Two outs. Andrew McCutchen and a highf fly ball to right to the wall approaching the wall and he caught it. Oh my. He just made the catch. Marte might have saved the season for the Reds. Wow. Would have tied the game, robbing Reynolds of a home run. You have got to be kidding me. Wow. Right before the pitch, I was about to say, probably taken all the way, but not with Brian Reynolds up. He’s got the ability to leave the ballpark and he did. Noelvie Marte brought that one back. My goodness. Brian Reynolds watches. Oh, Noelie Marte and a standing ovation. And now they anticipate the final out. Side cornerish. The pitch swing fly ball right field. Marte to the warning track against the wall. leaps and he got it. My goodness gracious, what a play. Wow, what a play. I can’t believe he gave him a pitch to hit, first of all, and it was a high towering drive. So, Marte got to the wall very early. He was there and he just he timed the jump perfectly. I mean, he went up a good foot above the wall and and the fans let him go. They were kind of backed away. Wow, what a big play. That saved the game. Maybe the season. It saved the season.
