There’s an alternate universe where this worked out

Yeah, but we live in the stupidest timeline.
GM couldn’t build a team to save his life.
In life, timing is everything.
Yeah, one where we had an offensive line and skill position weapons…and a defense. To go along with those two.
What happened to Woody in this timeline?
If it does, there’s no Rodgers trade either. Fascinating what if.
There’s also one where they’ve won 14 Superbowls, and I can’t say for sure we’ve been in the playoffs 14 times since SB III.
Man I love those jerseys.
Sam Darnold was much better playing for Todd Bowles than he ever was with Adam Gase. Sam is much better QB than a lot of Jets fans want to give him credit for being and Bowles is a way better than too many Jets fans will ever give him credit for being.
Should have stuck with him and not taken Zach at all. Drafted Penei Sewell and continued to build a wall around him. Even if we weren’t willing to pay him after that first year, we could have found a bridge QB and kept getting skill position players. The Zach and Rodgers gambits burned this franchise baaaad.
It worked out for me in madden, and at least I have that to look back on fondly
GM is very important, clearly
Unfortunately we live in this timeline (sigh)
Yeah? And there’s an alternate universe where we made the Super Bowl in 2009 and 2010.
OR another multiverse where Bowles is the coach & the Jets drafted Baker Mayfield instead.
What a horrible reality that would be. So many teams dying in plane crashes in one season to clear a path for a disaster franchise named the jets
Three former Jets QBs are now starting for another team and doing better than they did with the Jets. Hard not to feel that there’s something wrong with the team culture here that goes far beyond whoever is the coach in a given season.

Sam Darnold was a good QB on a bad team
