Knicks Make SNEAKY Good Trade – New York Lands ELITE Sharpshooter…

The New York Knicks just made a sneaky good trade that nobody is talking about as New York has made a deal where they have acquired an elite sharp shooter who is going to be within their system now as the Knicks continue to try to build up on a roster that is very deep and fills all the needs that they could possibly have going into the 2025 season, 2025, 2026 season I should say. And we’re going to jump right into this, break all the things down, break down what this trade is, what it means for the Knicks going forwards and why this is such a good deal by New York for multiple reasons. There’s a lot to go over and we are going to waste no time jumping right into it. But guys, before we do that, if you’re part of that 57% that’s not subscribed to Nicks Digest, make sure to subscribe for daily Knicks updates. We got a lot of great videos coming out all the time for you. And now with basketball being back, there is so much to go over on the Knicks. The season is just around the corner. I cannot wait. So, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a single video or a single Knicks update in general. But, let’s jump into it. There is a lot to go over right now as the Knicks very sneakily made a move recently acquiring a sharpshooter for this team from none other than the Phoenix Suns in a deal that nobody has really been talking about. We’re going to waste no time jumping right in to the deal that the Knicks made because frankly, it is the type of move that you absolutely love and makes you question what the Phoenix Suns were thinking when this got done. I mean, right now, it was revealed by Evans Sadary that the Valley Suns acquired David David Duke Jr., awful name, and Damen B from the Westchester Knicks in exchange for Cash Stanley, Moses Wood, Mamed Dia, DD Lazuda, Cuadari Weatherspoon, a 2026 first round pick in the G- League, and a 2026 second round pick in the G-League as well. Now, I know what you’re saying. It’s the G-League, Chris. What does this matter? Why are you talking about this? Here’s the thing. First things first, the easy way to remember this, remember the Knicks are the first and the second overall pick in the G-League draft. That second overall pick was Landry Shamat, who is now on the roster, who fans are clamoring for to join the roster. And outside of this, the Knicks acquired one of the best JLeague shooters right now, who has a real chance to come up when the Knicks, we know they’re targeting shooters. They brought in Garrison Matthews for a reason. They brought in Landry Sham. brought in these top tier shooters for when training camp and stuff like this is really underway. We’re going to see the Knicks in their organization have a lot of stuff to like moving forwards. So, with all that in mind, there is a lot to consider for this Knicks team. And just jumping right into things, there’s a lot to talk about with these guys. I mean, first things first, the Knicks did trade away David Duke Jr., who again, not his fault, but just not a good name for obvious reasons. He put up 17 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. Duke has been a very good player in the G-League, spent some time with the Brooklyn Nets as well, and came into the NBA as a pretty highly touted prospect. Well, the Suns are taking a chance on the guard because they need more playmaking. And Damen B, who was with the Knicks for a bit as well, putting up good point guard numbers with 12.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game. So, a lot to consider there. But the Knicks, they also bring in a plethora of talents, including bringing back a familiar name in Mamed Dakit. If you don’t remember Dakit, here’s the best way to discuss him. He was part of that Carl Anthony Towns trade that brought him to the Knicks because Dakite who also was with the Knicks and actually I believe appeared in playoff games at points because they were out of roster spots. They um the Knicks traded Dia along with Dwayne Washington Jr. as a part of a deal to the Charlotte Hornets to cut some money so they could bring in Carl Anthony Towns. It was part of one of those good old Brock Aller financial loopholes that he jumped through. And look, it’s really really interesting to see stuff like this go down because when you look at the Knicks when you look at this team, they like having their specific guys. So part of this deal was definitely to get Dit back in the squad. They clearly see something in him and want him within the organization for a reason. And he was one of the biggest reasons the Knicks went out there and made this move. So when we look at this, the Knicks now have more guys competing for these two-way roster spots, meaning that guys like Trey Gon and not Kevin McCuller Jr., betray JSON specifically and it really becomes one of those things where his spot is not locked up because the Knicks could just decide to bring back Dakit on a two-way as well which is something that we do have to be very aware of going forwards for the Knicks. So this does have implications to what’s going to happen in training camp. Don’t get it twisted. I know it seems like it’s just a G-League tree, but there’s a lot of there’s a lot going on with this deal. On top of that, the Knicks also have acquired Cashes Stanley, who came in very highly touted as a 6’5 combo guard. He’s played well throughout his time in the G- League. He he hasn’t shot the ball well, which has always been his crutch or his big issue. But, um, he did shoot 36% from three last season with the Valley Suns. So, there is some thought that maybe he’s going to figure it out and also be someone to really work with going forwards as well. Another highly touted prospect coming out of the draft who the Knicks are going to take a shot on. And on top of that, they also have acquired Quendary Weatherspoon. Weatherspoon has played with the Golden State Warriors for a bit, appearing in 42 NBA games, putting up 2.1 points per game. He is a very good defender at the guard spot. The Warriors used him at times to do what Gary Payeyton would do and he did win the 2022 NBA Finals as part of the Golden State Warriors team. So, we’ve seen Witherspoon actually get NBA burn. He’s going to be someone again within the Knicks G-League system who we’re going to see if injuries happen. He’s going to be someone who the Knicks are going to look at because of his ability to be a guard and to play excellent defense. The Knicks love having these point of attack guards. Weatherspoon, that’s where he shines in the NBA. So, get ready to see stuff like that happen a little bit as well. While he hasn’t been able to shoot the ball too well at the NBA level, though, at least not yet, there is a lot to think about going forwards. But now, the big part of this trade that I absolutely love is the Knicks acquired an absolute sniper from three, a 6’8 shooter who in a lot of ways would draw comparisons to none other than Steve Novak. He appeared in 152 college games, putting up 10.5 points per game, five rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Now, in that time, he shot 40.4% from three as well. This is a guy who I absolutely love because he’s been in the G-League. He’s baldled out there. He’s shot really well from three there. So, when you consider everything, Moses Wood is the type of guy who absolutely has a chance to do something here and get a two-way spot because of the signings of Garrison Matthews and those type of moves. It does make sense that the Knicks are going to go out there and make that decision to sort of move forwards in a different direction. It depends on what happens also with all these trade talks. Are the Knicks really are they really going to go out there and trade away one of their young players in order to bring on just more guys for so they could bring in Shamut and Brogton? If that happens, we also have to see what’s going to happen with all those two-way contracts, which is another thing the Knicks will have to consider going forwards right now as well. So, there’s a lot to think about going forwards with the Knicks. And also, it makes you wonder with the Knicks acquiring this influx of G-League players, what exactly is going to happen with Dink Pate, who’s been one of the Nick fan favorites when it comes to the young players right now? It feels like Pton more and more is getting pushed out the door by the Knicks, meaning the Knicks don’t see something in him that clearly fans do. So, you do have to consider that as well. There is a lot of layers to this trade or I wouldn’t be making a video on it. It’s just there’s a lot to think about with this situation and you have to wonder what exactly Leon Rose is getting up to here because Leon, he obviously has a plan with this, but the Knicks, they now go out there and they make a move that’s going to be interesting to see how they navigate because there’s a bunch of young players on their team while they’ve also added on picks. Meaning, this is going to be one of those things that’s a financial loophole and just another sort of keeping players within the organization loophole when they wave someone. For instance, getting that first round pick. I’m telling you right now, I have a very good feeling on what they are going to do. I imagine they are going to wave Garrison Matthews for Landry Shabet. And when that happens, that pick that the Knicks acquired, I guarantee you they are going to use to draft Garrison Matthews. That is going to happen. That is what they’re doing. They’re doing what they did last year with Matt Ryan and Landry Shamat, it’s the exact same thing. They’re just doing it over again because it makes all the sense in the world to go out there and do that over again as well. So, I like this idea. I have a very good feeling about the Knicks going forwards. I do like the move for Moses Wood as well. We are going to see what happens. There’s a lot to go over in the future as well. So, make sure you stay tuned for a bunch of Knicks updates. But guys, that’s all for me. Like this video, subscribe, turn on post notifications. Have a great day. Go Knicks. You made it to the weekend. Congratulations.

  1. You are becoming very much like my mother-in-law , always yapping and never saying a damn thing ! smile . Make sure to let us know when Mitch Robinson signs for millions of dollars , and sprains his ankle on a damn dandelion !

  2. The Knicks have not satisfied every need. Totally wrong. Starting team defense is as bad as last year. Couldn't defend the 3. Totally exploitable. Not a championship team. Second team also not very good defensively.

  3. A G-League trade?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
