Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since they retired. So glad I went to their final game at Rogers arena. I think I’ve had this Thank you Sedins flair since that day too

Ran the Vancouver half marathon in 2023 and they were about 20 feet ahead of me at the starting line… I checked their times after and they finished 2 seconds apart at 1 hour and 25 minutes. Anyone who runs distance knows that’s an insane pace, and these dudes were 43 years old and several years out of the league. It was insanely impressive.
Absolute beauties. 100% there’s a statue being built when they retire from being active staff of the Canucks. I really really hope they win a cup with the team before they fully retire.

In a different universe they became a #1 Defensive partnership: great in the corners, the elusive tipped between the legs breakout pass, the simultaneous stacked on each other shot blocking, tiring the opposition forwards out so much they threw up on the backcheck ….
