For the San Diego Padres’s, it’s Michael King listed as a starter in this one while the Diamondbacks will send out Eduardo Rodriguez. And Michael King, you know, has been inconsistent since coming back from injury. Um he’s had three starts, gave up five runs or excuse me, two runs on five innings of work, three hits allowed. It was a pair of home runs that he gave up and then followed that up with eight runs allowed on 10 hits over three innings against the Mets with four homers given up. But last time out against the White Socks, five innings of four hit shutout baseball. So it’s all about which version of Michael King you’re going to see in this game. Now, you look at the Arizona Diamondbacks against right, excuse me, right-handed pitching in the last um in the last two weeks, you know, Arizona has been able to hold their own because it’s been a big reason why they’ve been able to keep themselves afloat in the wild card race in the National League. They’re hitting 259. Their team OPS numbers are top 10 as well. The isolated power numbers could stand to be better. But that being said, I still think Michael King can have a solid outing here on the other side though because reason I say that is because you know the Arizona Diamondbacks have, you know, been competitive, but they’ve been inconsistent at times and a lot of the damage they’ve done more often than not is coming in the later innings. On the other side though, you have the Padres’s going against Eduardo Rodriguez and Rodriguez is actually in some great form himself right now. I mean, that’s just the long and short of it. I mean, for a guy that I faded early and often this season, let’s say he’s pitching some pretty solid baseball down the stretch, u more often than not, giving up one run or less. And the Arizona Diamondbacks are finding ways to win his starts. They’ve won five straight starts from Rodriguez, nine of the last 10. And a lot of it’s because Edardo Rodriguez in the month of September, a 2.31 erra, one runner less allowed in three of the four starts. And now you’re facing a Padres’s lineup that against lefties has actually been though fairly solid in the last two weeks. I mean, you know, above league average in team OPS. The isolated power numbers are not great and the the batting average is at 255, which isn’t terrible. Um, for me in this one, I think it’s going to be a low-scoring game to the first five. I think both these pitchers can go five strong innings. And when the bullpens come in, I wanted to take Arizona. And if I had to pick a side game, I may lean towards Arizona because they’re the only team with anything to play for here. Um, but the problem for me is still that Arizona bullpen, which I still still gives me nightmares. They have a bottom five bullpen erra in the uh in in the last two weeks. So, I’d rather just go with the under in the first five here as I think that Rodriguez and King both have strong starts in this one. And that’s going to be my free pick.
