  1. Let’s be real y’all… our season ended when we lost Hader. Yordan getting injured again slammed the door shut for good measure. Cursed season but it is what it is

  2. 8 strikeouts to KYLE HENDRICKS and people unironically thought we deserved the postseason LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  3. SOOOOO FUCKING CLASSIC

SO classic for us to blow that game after Texas and Boston set it up for us

Can’t they have just been eliminated and stop stringing me along like an abusive girlfriend?

  4. Not an official end but that about does it. I really only wanted to keep the streak going but this team wasn’t doing squat in the playoffs anyways

  5. This is just a bad baseball team.  Been bad most of the season really.  Just had stellar pitching early.  Get ready to lose for awhile

  6. Season on the line and 2 of the 3 guys are up there just gigglin with the angels catcher while they strikeout

  7. Offense has been in year long funk. As much as I want blame injuries, offensive approach is piss poor and we’re getting deserved results. Hopefully Crane is ready for some major changes.

  8. Anyone blaming Espada for King shitting the bed needs a fucking reality check.

King before tonight was perfect at not allowing inherited runners to score, that was literally his first of the season.

Then King was always going to face at least Trout, because having Abreu come in for 6 outs is absurd to do.

This game is 100% on an offense who got 3 runs, one of which was off a fucking double steal, against Kyle fucking Hendricks and nothing on a mediocre bullpen

The offense, as always, was the issue. Cintron and Snitker need to be gone.

  9. Diaz would be so good if he stopped chasing. Not even sure where he fits into the team with Janek a couple of years away.

  10. Really disappointing. A season plagued with injuries and they’re just about out of it. Atleast in 2016, it felt like the game threads were full of fans rooting for the team to succeed even when they fell short. Now it’s just grumpy comments complaining about everything and claiming the team isn’t even trying.

Hopefully everyone can be healthy next year (RIP Luis Garcia)

  11. Honestly, I don’t think there’s much that could’ve been done this season. Yeah, we can bitch about the offensive approach or Framber being a pumpkin for two months, but the biggest reason why this season has been the way it’s been is injuries.

We’ve had too many of them, and at the worst times possible. Yordan out again, Peña out again, Meyers out again. 18 WAR on the IL this year. That would cripple any team.

Just look forward to next year. Good news is we’re basically only losing Framber and Caratini. We have the pieces. Just need new hitting & gameplanning coaches. Maybe new strength & conditioning as well

  12. Its been a great decade yall. Any fan (bar a few teams) would LOVE to have the last 10 years that we have got to experience.

So we may miss the playoffs. Not every team can make it every year. Its a shocker when we dont. Astros are that level of team now.

The last time we missed the playoffs we won a WS the following year.

If we miss the playoffs, reload and lock in. Hopefully Dana is better

If we make it, anything can happen in playoffs.

Im disappointed, but these are my ride or dies

  13. Doomers say stuff all the time like “this offense is the worst in the league” which is obviously hyperbole. Doomers have been decrying this offense (and Cintron) for years, which is hilarious considering it takes 10 seconds to look up where we rank on ops+, wrc+, woba, etc, and we’ve been top 5 every year since 2017, except for last year when we were 6th.

I don’t like dooming, but when I do, I don’t exaggerate- I will only doom if its backed up by numbers. And now we are officially a below average offense. At the start of play today, we have a 99 ops+. The last time we finished a full season with a below average offense was 2014. If our ops+ goes down 1 more point, it will match the 2014 season when we ended **22 games under .500**.

Dana has done virtually nothing to improve the offensive side of our roster. We’ve gotten worse every year since he’s been GM. I have very little faith in this team returning to elite status with him here.
