All right. Well, welcome to a special unboxing here on Ugly Thirds. Um, John, what are we doing? Well, you’re still like halfway off camera. We’re we’re we’re looking at uh clearly it’s a New York American sweater. Um, definitely what we’re diving into. Um, and right before they moved to Brooklyn. Uh, clearly. No, Phil. What is this? All right. So, uh, several, uh, teams are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. several several um and so this is actually the first jersey I ordered. Um when did we do the the milkman? What day was that? Okay. Well, anyways, ordered this beginning of August. So, now it’s the almost the end of September. Finally came in. Um they had no date on it. So, uh let’s see how it’s nice to ride back. I had to buy this directly from the team store. So, this is from uh it just says CBA shop. Oh, there’s there’s nothing heavy in here. That’s not a jersey. Anyways, fold it properly. There’s like a I’m guessing it’s a puck. Hey, so something for how much extra you paid in the team store? What’s the bonus? What’s the bonus? It is a puck. Look at you, Mr. 100. 100 anniversary puck. Oh, look. Look at that. Would you look at that? It comes in a little box. Little box there with a golden logo on it. Yeah. And you’re already breaking the box cuz you can’t put a puck back. Right. Gold sticker. Look. Look. It’s It’s properly a sticker. Like there’s an edge. This is like a mat. Anyways, so [Music] well yes. So we have the patch first. Well, I’ll start with the patch. So 100th anniversary patch. Look at that. So gold outline. It’s kind of like um it’s like a twirl. pain stitch do it. Oh, no. It’s it’s that uh printed on twill that we talked about with the uh Stormy the Pig. Yeah. So, which Okay. I guess it is the best way to get some details, but still it feels lackluster to me. Yeah, a little bit. Um and we have the other shoulder patch, which is the main piece. Gold. I love gold. Actually, this ch Well, all right. So, I did Well, and and let’s not forget the most important element ever. Gold grommets. No one has gold grommets. Um Oh, there’s also the uh the cups. You got to you got to have the hemline. Oh, and there and there’s the there’s a little tag. You got to have the little tag. Um so, all right, let’s uh let’s compare. and uh the hanger hanger effect. There you go. Always an original. So, this is a the first round of Adidas. Um I have a button. I have a button. So, that should tell you. Uh the obviously you don’t have the chain stitch in the gold. I guess they can’t chain stitch gold. That’s that’s fine. Like that’s that’s to be expected. Um you want to get this up. I’m looking at that crest detail. It looks the standard, right? Like I don’t I don’t see any significant difference other than the there’s a gold outline here that there isn’t here. Um I I mean it’s otherwise it’s it’s a black Well, okay. So I guess Was the Has the collar been black now for a while? I don’t know. Um obviously the laces are new because it it was it was bad at first. It was truncated. I know they truncated it at some point, but I don’t recall exactly what they moved to. And then we have um Yeah. So no dimples either. So but um yeah, I mean let’s see. Is the Is the depth still the same? Yeah, it’s pretty much pretty much is with the gold. I mean, look, this chain stitching looks beautiful. Like, there’s no there’s no two ways about it. I’m like, “Oh, is this thicker than normal?” No, it’s not. But it’s I mean, it looks Look, if you need a Hawk jersey, this is one to get. Like, that’s that it’s something special. It’s only for this year. You’ve got some interesting things and you can be like, “Oh, I got the 100th anniversary one.” And you just kind of have that level of rarity against everyone else. Um, this uh font reminds me of Old Spice. Anyways, so uh yeah, um it’s it’s it’s a I mean Chicago’s look is good to begin with. So they’re about to win our poll, so Right. Um so it’s a um it’s good. It’s good. I I mean I don’t I don’t I am not looking to purchase one of these. I am not the completionist that you happen to be right now. um especially not with random teams, but it’s a good look and if you need one, there’s nothing wrong with this. It’s a cool elements. I mean, you kind of need to kind of need to get this one customized to truly appreciate when when Philly had its 50th anniversary. Like the without the gold numbers, it looks like crap. I need to get the gold numbers on it, right? So, that that adds another level to this, let’s be honest. But like, you know, just to get the jersey, that’s something that could be customized. Um, that’s one that we worry about like with Seattle’s coming up like are the letters a special type of number kit that you know EPS is not going to be able to uh and considering that EPS is not is not doing the for nations jerseys could there be something special where they’re like we can’t we can’t customize this don’t ask. So I mean that’s yeah no that’s a real question that’s legit. Um I also wonder about the leather elements of the Detroit one. Like are they going to be able to do that seat? Are they going to have that around? which is why I’ve I’ve ordered both versions just to make sure I get one. But that’s a different video for a different day. Yeah. If ever comes. Assuming it ever comes. Um so what do you think, Phil? Worth the purchase? I mean, yeah. You happy? I mean, um as if you’ve been a fan of the channel. Um last couple years I’ve purchased every jersey because there hasn’t been many new ones this year, especially ones for sure. Um Oh, you got to complete the set eventually. But like St. Louis, Boston. I mean, it’s it’s a good look to change to, but do I need to get it this year? Not so much. So, um there’s only so much PayPal credit to go at one time. And well, yeah. What do you think when you when it works for you? I’ve had issues lately, especially with the card, but like the actual physical card. Yeah. Anyways, um well, I mean, in the in the comments, tell us what you think. You’re going to get one. Uh do you what maybe what would you change about it? what you do differently. Like just give us some suggestions. Have a conversation about it. I’m really hoping this makes a return before that makes a return, but that’s probably making a return before this makes a return.
