Why do the Tigers keep missing opportunities to score? Riley Greene:

  1. I somewhat respect him for continuing to talk to reporters after these losses, but ffs dude. How do you say the worst thing possible every time?

  2. AJ and Scott need to have a serious sit down with him after this season concludes. That stupid ass swing has to go, needs to be revamped. And his whole attitude and how he talks needs to change if he wants to be THE GUY. “It is what it is” needs to never come out of his fucking mouth again. Zero accountability.

  3. “it is what it is” is when an ump fucks you over or something out of your control happens not when what’s happening is 100% under your control

  4. It is what it is. That’s the answer you want to hear from the anchor of your lineup as he continues just a miserable second half of the season.

  5. He’s basically begging to be traded and we should humor him. He does not represent Detroit culture

  6. Just another choke job. They don’t deserve to make the playoffs. They have to have a killer instant but lack that immensely. No clutch hitting. They can try again next year.

  7. At the end of the day, they try to score touchdowns, we try to stop them. Lost 49-7. It is what it is.

  8. The attitudes between this team’s players and what’s across the street in the Lions is eye opening.

  9. If any of us said shit like this at work, and then doubled down days later, we’d be shown the door.

This dude is completely detached from reality.

  10. You know these nba players that go on pods and you’re like wtf are you doing, just stfu…that’s how I feel about Riley quotes last couple weeks. Get the mic out of this idiots face

  11. The guy saying “it is what it is“ reminds me of the laissez-faire attitude of Prince Fielder.

  12. The fact that he can’t answer this question shows us exactly why they keep losing. If you can’t identify the problem, it won’t get fixed. Our coaches need to work with these guys and develop them not just let them go out there day after day hoping they get better. That’s the definition of insanity

  13. Last week he was asked about his strikeouts and his response was “nobody cares” and I believe he also got an “I don’t care” in there as well. Uh……..how many runs could he have driven in tonite if he maybe hit a seeing eye single through the infield somehow? Or a little dribbler? SOMETHING? ANYTHING? Yes Riley WE DO CARE. You cost us runs tonite. SMDH.

  14. Man, fuck this guy. He can’t hit for shit when the team needs him most in September, which is one thing. I’m not going to be bitter towards him as a person for that. But his nonchalant, “it is what it is”, can’t be bothered attitude is what pisses me off.

  15. Again, I’ll say it: when your most talented guy on offense has this attitude, you’re seriously lacking leadership in the clubhouse.
