Baltimore Orioles @ New York Yankees | LIVE! Play-by-Play & Commentary | 9/26/25 | Game #160
you can do. Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crackers, Jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root root root for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes. You’re out at the old ball game. [Music] KT saw all the games, knew the players by their first names, told the umpire he was wrong all along, good and strong. When the score was just two to two, Katy Casey knew what to do. Just to cheer up the boys, she knew she made the gang sing this song. Please take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crack a jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root. Root brute for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame for it’s one, two, three strikes. You’re out at the old ball game. [Music] It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. Greetings, folks, and welcome to live coverage of Orioles baseball, where tonight the Baltimore Orioles will play the first game of the final series of the 2025 season as they take on none other than the New York Yankees here at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York. How you doing everybody? It’s your old pal, the bird watcher, here. Welcome back. We’ve got three games left in our season and then uh uh it’s time to say the summer is is over. Uh the winter months are coming. not going to be any baseball that matters to oral fans uh for several months, but uh we got three games and uh at least uh Major League Baseball was kind enough to give us a series like this to close things out, a reason to uh tune in. And uh you know, we’re we’re the spoilers. We get it. We can’t really flex. The Yankees are playoffbound. That much is known. But what is not known is uh whether or not they’ll win their division and uh whether or not uh they’ll even be the top wildcard seed. Uh a lot is still up for grabs uh that the Yankees uh are going to want to win and we are the team that are standing in their way. Uh trying to remember what is our head-to-head record on this season. Uh, I can tell you here in just a sec. New York is up six games to four. So, with three games to play, the Orioles would have to sweep the Yankees in order to win the season series. Uh, it’s a tall order, but it is still up for grabs. And obviously, if we were to sweep, oh, what a tough uh result that might be for New York. Uh again, if they were to win the division, that would most likely mean, in fact, it would definitely mean a a buy. They wouldn’t have to play the wild card round. Uh they could skip that. Uh a sweep of them would definitely take that out of play, I would think. I think Toronto is going to probably at least win one game this weekend. Uh otherwise, just try to win the series two out of three. Hopefully, it’ll hurt them in some way. That’s all we got going for us, folks. How do we hurt these Yankees uh as we as we uh close down for the 2025 season? Well, for tonight, uh we got our best weapon. Uh we’ve got a good shot, I believe, at winning this first game and setting a tone because it’s none other than our ace. And uh you know, we might have been uh afraid to use a word like that to to describe a pitcher on this oral uh team, but Trevor Rogers uh ever since he’s been called up this season uh has done nothing but put up a numbers. In fact, going into this final start, uh, no other pitcher who’s as who has made as many starts as Rogers in a given baseball season has put up a lower ERA in the history of the game except 1968’s Bob Gibson. Uh, that’s it. So, it is uh some rarified air that Trevor Rogers is floating in in 2025. And uh this is our last chance to watch him pitch. And no matter how he pitches tonight, I think he deserves a gigantic round of applause for uh the season uh that he’s had because folks, he’s not going to match that again, at least er awes. But what he has shown us is that he has the ability to lead this rotation or at the very least uh be matched with another ace leg pitcher if we were to go grab one this winter uh as a big one two punch at the top of the rotation. And don’t forget Kyle Bradish is healthy and looking pretty good uh in his return. That strengthens the rotation next season. Of course, fingers crossed when talking about pitching in general uh because injuries are just so common. Uh but if we can stay healthy and if our best arms can stay healthy, uh it definitely bodess well for a turnaround for this team in 2026, which we’re all hoping for. Obviously, this season uh has been one to be upset about, be sad about. There’s really not much to hang our hats on. Not even the hat has much to hang on. Uh but Trevor Rogers, if there is one bright shining spot on this season as we look back later in life at uh oral seasons from the past and when you talk about 2025, you’re going to talk about Trevor Rogers. So, he’s on the mound tonight and uh let’s see, he’s going to be up against Will Warren, a right-hander for uh the Yankees. Warren has a record of 8-8. He’s pitched 157 in the third inning. So, this will be his final start. He’ll probably finish right on 162 innings, maybe an extra inning in there. Um, he has a erra of 4.35 and a 1.37 whip. He’s given up 20 homers on the season and giving up just under a hit per inning. uh and he’s striking out about one batter per inning. 152 hits, 164 strikeouts in those 157 innings pitched. Rogers 9 and2 with a 1.35 erra, a 87 whip. He’s over 100 innings now in the season. 106 and 2/3 with just 67 hits given up, just three home run balls. Uh it’s just amazing. 100 strikeouts to 26 walks. Uh here are the starting lineups for the Orioles to begin this uh first game in the Bronx. Pretty strong lineup. Uh save maybe for one batter right in the middle. Uh I think uh our cleanup hitter tonight probably should be uh switching places with I don’t know the guy hitting ninth. Uh Jackson Holiday will lead off and play second base. He’s back in the lineup. He was missing the past couple of games with a a knee uh a knee problem. I don’t know. It hurt. Uh but he’s okay. He’s back in the lineup tonight. At second base and leading off, Jordan Westber will bat second and play third base. Gunnar Henderson, the shorts stop, hitting third. Tyler O’Neal will be the cleanup hitter. He’s in right field. Dylan Beavers, who had been hitting lead off uh while Holiday was out, is now batting fifth tonight in left field. Adley Rutman will do the catching and bat sixth. Colton Cowser will hit seventh and play center field. Sammy Basio is okay as well. It’s good to see him back in the lineup after taking that fast ball from Pete Fairbanks off his uh just above his wrist. Uh everything’s cool. It would seem he’s back in the lineup. I’m pretty sure the Orioles would not risk uh the future of this guy that they just gave a major contract extension to with just a couple of games left to go unless everything was 100% cool. So a sigh of relief, Sammy Basio, okay, batting eighth and dhing in the lineup tonight. Kobe Mayo, who hit his 10th home run of the season yesterday. He’s gonna bat ninth and play first base. For the Yankees, Paul Goldmid will lead off, play first base. Aaron Judge in right field bat second. Cody Bellinger in center field will hit third. Don Carlos Stanton, the DH and cleanup hitter. Ahmed Rosario at third base will bat fifth. Austin Slater, who was an oral for a bit last season, he’s in left field hitting sixth. Anthony Vulpi, the shorts stop at uh hitting seventh, catching and batting eighth. Austin Wells and Jose Cabierro is at second base, batting ninth. All right, we are just under five minutes away from first pitch, I would think. And there is Kevin Brown and Ben McDonald. Got the massing broadcast. Here we are in the Bronx, folks. Trying to play spoilers. We got Trevor Rogers. It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. That’s right, folks. I don’t know why the idea didn’t come to me all season long, but whenever Trevor’s on the mound, folks, no matter where we’re pitching, whether we’re at home or we’re in a place like Yankee Stadium, when Trevor’s pitching, it’s Mr. Rogers neighborhood. It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. That’s right. Are there things that make you angry? Oh, there are, Mr. Rogers. There are things that make me angry. Are there things that make you angry? Yes, indeed. And uh whenever we play the Yankees, those those things seem to come out. Let’s see what happens tonight. Uh all right, let’s get the everything cleared and out of the way here. Got some tabs open. I don’t need Three games left to go, folks. Hey, by the way, I think I’ve uh pretty much decided to lock in on the Padres’s versus Cubs Wildcard round that’s coming up to begin uh the postseason. Uh there are going to be four different wildcard uh series going on to start the postseason. One of them has already been decided for sure and that is that the Cubs will be hosting the Padres’s. And when I saw that that matchup was already in place, I said to myself, actually, I would love to cover that because obviously uh the Padres’s uh they have a couple of Orioles on that team. I’m kind of interested in following what Ryan O’Harn and Raone Lauraniano are going to be able to do for them uh in the postseason. And uh the Cubs, it’s going to be a series of Wrigley Field. It gives me an excuse to whip out my Harry Kerry impression and do all that stupid stuff. Uh I love uh Wrigley Field and uh they’re going to have a playoff series there with some uh Orioles involved on the other side. And I’m thinking, okay, let’s do that. So, what do you think, Charm City chat? Uh, I know the Red Sox and the Yankees could potentially be a wild card round or Red Sox Blue Jays could be a potential wildcard round. That that might serve a little bit more interest in terms of teams that, you know, are more, you know, we hate them. But honestly, if I were to do Red Sox Yankees, who am I supposed to root for? You know, I’d rather just skip that. And uh when it gets to the division round, that’s when I’m jumping on the Mariner bag bandwagon. I I’ll be calling Mariners versus whoever they’re playing on that side. All right. Yes. Consequential. Yes, indeed. Uh I’m team Seattle, folks. What can I tell you? I’m a person that just likes to see everybody be happy at least once. And uh the Mariners, they have not won a division since 2001. They have never won a pennant. They have never played a World Series game, never mind one a World Series. And uh you know, with this magical season Cal Rally has put together, it just it just all seems like it’s you know, it’s their turn, right? I’ve talked about us and saying that it’s our turn, and I do believe that it is. I hope that it’s coming soon, but if there’s any team out there that can say, you know, at least on paper, no, actually, it’s our turn. It’s the Mariners. So, yeah, I’m back in Seattle and uh yeah, Padres’s Cubs. That’s the uh that’s the other side. But so, you know, at first when I talked about doing postseason games, I said I’m just going to pick whatever the latest game is because, you know, honestly, I just wanted to be able to sleep in and get off of this crazy schedule that I’ve been on for 6 months and change. But the more I thought about it and uh with some good advice from a friend, uh I decided to go with what I just felt was the best uh series to call. And yeah, that’s going to be it for the wild card round. Also, uh, looking at the traveling I need to do, it looks like I’ll be able to call the entire division round as well, whichever series. Again, I think I’ll be doing the Mariners. Uh, but which is good because they are a West Coast team, so their home games should be late. I can sleep in. But um the travel I have to do it looks like it won’t happen until right at the beginning of the championship series. So I’ll probably miss like games one and two of that. Otherwise, uh I’ll be calling, you know, at least one or both of those series and then the World Series. So there’s going to be a lot of October baseball games called on the channel. I hope those who tune in that are oral fans that uh are okay with me calling nonoral games. I I do believe I need to actually make uh an edit in the description for my channel because I believe it does say it’s only for oral games because that really is what I want this channel to be for. You know, like a dedicated Orioles channel. But once the Orioles are out of it, uh, you know, your boy needs to try to keep the channel going. You feel me? So, I’m calling some playoff games. I called some last season. I called the World Series. All was all was cool. So, hopefully all will be cool again. And I hope you guys will join me for some of those games. Hey, Warren just popped in with a super chat. I was just about to uh Oh, here’s a here’s an update right now of the wild card seating. So, yeah, the four five seeds will be the Cubs and the Padres’s. The winner of that series will be taking on the Brewers, unless the Phillies, I think the Phillies still have a chance to finish one seed, but the Brewers, I think, are up by like two games most likely. Padres’s Cubs winner take on Milwaukee. Uh, we’re about to get started. It seems like we’re a few minutes late. I hope this has nothing to do with my stream, but it looks like uh I haven’t missed anything. This game starting a few minutes late. It’s New York. They do it their way. Oh, Warren. Yes. So, uh, super chat. Thank you, Warren, for uh, popping in with a super chat. Message for you, son. One pound for every win we get this series and the other two because sir you are a legend. Ah the legend of BW. Thanks BW. The season has been hard the listening easy man. What a nice thing to say. You know that’s not just like some empty gesture kind of a comment. You know that’s that feels genuine to me and uh that means a lot to me. Warren. Thank thank you. And hitting this button isn’t gonna sound like I’m genuine. Like I’m And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. I I gotta hit the thank you button. I got sly here to say thank you. But uh very kind of you to say Warren. Speaking of Warren, look at this folks. I’m a professional. Will Warren is taking his final warm-up tosses for the Yankees. Jackson Holiday in the on deck circle. Look at that transition, folks. I’m a pro. It just took two seasons and here I am. I’ve caught up to everybody that does this on broadcast except way more entertaining, way more opinionated, and to some people way less uh tolerable. Speaking of less tolerable, there’s uh Tony Manscelino. Hey, there’s a big crowd here. as you’d expect. So, the Yankees, they’re in the playoffs. They have caught up to Toronto on record with 91 wins. Blue Jays have the tiebreaker, though. Uh, so a lot of things can still happen here. Uh, the Mariners have 90 wins. So, number one seed versus a two seed, that’s still up for grabs. Division still up for grabs. Uh, the loser obviously of the American League East between the Blue Jays and the Yankees are going to have to play in the wild card round and the winner is going to get some time off and not play until the division round. So, it’s a big uh CB Buckner’s the homeplayed umpire. Oh my god. Really? CB Buckner is the home played umpire. Okay. All right, folks. We got Oral Yankee baseball, the final series of the season. CB Buckner’s the ump. Jackson Holiday in the box. You got to love it. First pitch of the ball game. Holiday swinging and it’s down the left field line. Out of play. Strike one on Jackson Holiday. 245 the average coming into today. What’s going on with the scoreboard here? This doesn’t even look uh what’s going on here. Might have to fix something here. The 01 pitch to Holiday from Will Warren is up and in. One ball and one strike. Yeah, something’s off. I think I have the wrong link. One ball, one strike pitch is a little bit high with a fast ball. Just getting started, folks. First at bat of the ball game. The 2-1 pitch is laid off. That is outside by about four or five in I’d say. Three and one. Good hitters count for Holiday. Trying to set the tone here. 3-1 pitch that is hit hard in the right. That ball is caught on the run by Aaron Judge. Oh, Holiday hit it on the line, but there’s not a whole lot of right field here at Yankee Stadium. Not a whole lot of ground to cover. And Holiday lines out hard to Aaron Judge to begin the ball game. Good swing, good approach, bad result. All right, there’s the scoreboard. Westber coming up next, folks. West is that way. Swinging a miss. Westberg goes after the first pitch. It’s a fast ball a little bit high. Westberg 260 average. He’s played in 82 games, 15 home runs. And he swings and misses again. This time on an offspe pitch. It’s 0 and2. O2 swung on a miss. Boy, Westber was not ready to take on Will Warren there. Warren absolutely had him tied up a knots in this three pitch at bbat. He’s down on strikes. Gunnar Henderson coming up. His name’s Gunner and he’s dating my mom. Boy, I hope Westber has a better at bat than that tonight. Uh here’s Gunner. He looks at a curveball outside for ball one. 274 for Gunner. 16 homers. Outside chance at being the only Oral to get to 70 RBI. He needs three this weekend. Sitting on 67. Just looking at the uh team leaders and all the offensive categories, it’s just shocking compared to the offenses that we’ve seen over the past couple of seasons. One-1 pitch to Gunners in the dirt. A change up. Two balls in a strike. Orioles are wearing their black jersey tops with the orange lettering with the gray pants. And the Yankees wearing their traditional pinstripes at home. 2-1 pitch outside by a foot. Three and one on Gunner. First bugle of the day. [Music] Pitch popped up. Get out of play. It will account will go full on Gunner. I’m taking a look at these uh dream seats they have or what do they call the legend seats here. The big cushy chairs right behind home plate going for like four figures a pop. Uh they’re about 40% full I guess. Swing and a miss. Gunner chases a high fast ball out of the zone to strike out and the inning is over. The Orioles go one, two, three in the top of the first. Trevor Rogers making his way out to the mound for his final start as we go to the bottom of the first. Uh Yankees coming up to hit now. All right. What’s shaking, folks? What is shaking? All right, that is the least successful community post I’ve ever put up. You make a Fast Times a Ridgemont High reference and it just it just uh it just bombs. Matt is here. Scotty Boy, Gary Reebok, Don Rock, Kurt Montgomery, Landon Holder. Landon’s in enemy territory. Oh, Landon, brave man. Too nice for you. Uh, Edward Cantor, George Ford, uh, did I say Scotty Boy already? Gary Reebok. Did I I think I’m repeating myself. Ryan Lust, Pigtown Sports is here. Scott, Carl Schaefer, uh Erica is here, Consequential Warren, who again, thank you for the super chat. Uh Michael Mertig, one of our mods, Matt, also a mod. George Ford, also a mod. Got some mods here. Tom Free Bobo Bam 6956 Shawa is here. Rob is here. Another mod. Janet is here. Oh, all the mods. Look at this. And uh I think I’ve caught up here, folks. If I missed your name, I’m sorry, but uh we’re about to get the first pitch here from Trevor Rogers. I can get you two tickets to Earth, Wind, and Fire. Hey, what do you say you come over to your house and help you with your math homework? This is great ice tea. You know, it doesn’t matter whether she comes, stays laser praise. As long as your toes are tapping, everything’s okay. This is great ice tea. All right. Uh Rogers is already ahead of Paul Gold from it in an 02 count to begin his night. Blow him away, Trevor. That ball is hitting the air to left heading toward the foul line and right at the foul line. Dylan Beavers will make the catch. One away. Goldman flies out to left. This is great ice. All right. Up and away. Ball one. Aaron Judge. Folks, I get it. Aaron Judge. You look at, you know, all of that data and it says a better season than Cal Rally. A 330 batting average uh being the biggest uh discrepancy and uh very impressive for Judge, but you got to give it to Cal Rally. Come on. Judge has got an MVP or two already, right? He’ll win another one or two more. How many times are we going to have a 60 home run hitting catcher carrying a team that doesn’t get to the playoffs that often on his back? Uh, you know, just give it to Cal Rowley, man. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that’s part of the debate, too, with the positions. Again though, I don’t want to take anything away from Aaron Judge. Uh he’s had a ridiculous video game kind of a season, but uh if he does the same stuff next year or even if you take 10% of all this production away, I you know, give it to him next year. Uh he looks at a called strike three though from Trevor Rogers. Man, Rogers is so good. How does he do it? Judge knows his zone, but man, look at that outside corner painting the black like Daniel’s son on Miyagi’s fence. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? I mean, Rogers amazing. Two down. Here’s Bellinger. First pitch a little bit outside for ball one. Man, oh man. Oh man. We have an ace. Maybe we didn’t want to admit it, but we got one. Just missed the outside edge there. It’s 2 and 0 on Bellinger. Now look, this is probably the only game where I’m gonna get all crazy about it as as Rogers issues a four pitch walk. So, you already have to pump the brakes cuz as soon as you start gushing about a player and then suddenly uh something doesn’t go right, then you feel like, you know, but I mean, it’s the final start of the season. It’s been a phenomenal season. This is like his uh what do they call it in uh soccer or like their uh there’s a certain kind of a game where it’s like a game in honor of a particular player. This is his night, his last start. Uh John Carlos Stanton takes strike one. Two down with a runner at first after Rogers walked Cody Bellinger. It’s now 0 and2 on Stanton. One more strike and we go to the second inning. That ball’s hit to right and deep. That ball is going to clear the short porch in right field. Oh boy, the dreaded Yankee Stadium short porch and right. gobbling up another ball that is maybe a double anywhere else. It’s a two-run homer for Stanton to the opposite field. The Yankees take a two nothing lead in the first inning. Not to take anything away from the swing, Stanton hit the crap out of it. 108 off the bat, but that was a line drive double somewhere else. But not here. Ahmed Rosario fouls a pitch back. It’s 0 and1. And Rogers is probably thinking next time through the order if I have a chance to pitch around Stanton to get a to go after Rosario, I should probably do that. I should probably do that because that’s a pretty big I mean the swing Stanton even Stanton doesn’t even give this like a full swing. He just I mean again credit to Stanton. He’s got one of the most powerful swings in the history of the game. Uh the ball jumps off his bat. He’s very strong. But it’s just that kind of a swing with that kind of a power and this kind of a stadium just that’s why that’s a home run and that’s why it makes it frustrating if you’re the opponent. Uh two and two the count on Ahmed Rosario and a swing and a miss. Rogers gets him with a high fast ball to end the inning. Right. Well, y’all come back now. You hear? The worst part was the walk walking Bellinger there in front of Stanton. Oh, wow. The scoreboard isn’t operating yet either. All right, I’m working on it, folks. Even the top scoreboard isn’t on yet. I’m working. I see it. What is going on here? Yep, just a bad combination of uh issuing a walk and then going after Stanton again. I think next time through the order, same situation. You probably pitch around Stanton, go after Ahmed Rosario. That’s a significant drop off in threat, especially for a guy like Rogers that has pretty much had his way with most batters in the league. But the very best ones, the most dangerous ones, and Stanton is one of those guys still, uh, you know, probably want to maybe not give him anything to hit next time if he can, right? Because he’s at the bottom of that, you know, you got Judge, then you got Bellinger, then you got Stan after that big drop off. Uh anyway, how we doing there, Charm City chat? Release the Kraken. All right, so we went one, two, three in the first. So middle of the order coming up here. Tyler, Tyler O’Neal, Dylan Beavers, and Adley Rutman. This is so weird. My sleep schedule. Oh my god, I’m still doing this. Uh, all right. Two nothing Yankees on one hit. Here is Tyler O’Neal. Tyler O’Neal. Come on, pop by. First pitch goes all the way to the back stop. All right. Nice. Nice start for us. Ahoy there. Anybody home? O’Neal trying to get his average over 200 before the end of the season. It’s at 195. Swinging a miss. One and one on a fast ball. It looks like some of the legend seats are filling in a little more. Here’s a pop up to left heading toward foul territory now stopping making the catch is Slater route number one Dylan Beavers. Folks, last time we saw this kid, he was walking it off. Nice beaver. Thank you. Dylan Beavers batting fifth in the lineup tonight. Looks at one a little bit low for ball one. Fourth home run on that walk-off yesterday. 14 RBI, 245 average. OPS is good at 820. Little bit outside, but called a strike by CB Buckner. It’s 2 and 0. Oh, CB, don’t get me started, man. Oh, wait a minute. What am I saying? That’s that benefited us. Oh, it is. Massen screwed up. Massen, look, I’m already feeling a bit groggy. You You gave me the wrong count. The count is two and one I think right now on Dylan Beavers. Here’s a ball hit in the left center. Got a little bit of carry to it, but it will drop right on the edge of the track. Caught by Slater for out number two. Beaver is going to the opposite field, but uh right field’s where you want to go here. Uh Adley Rutman. Rutman had a triple in yesterday’s ball game. His average just 225. looks at a strike right down the middle. Man, that’s a batting practice fast ball. If there was ever a time to ambush, that was the pitch. 0 and one the count. He looks at a curve ball low and away. and sometimes you have to remember batters just make a decision before you know you walk up to the plate and going okay Will Warren I kind of remember seeing this guy a time or two can’t quite remember his arm slot picking up the pitch let me just look at a pitch and then take it from there. So, it’s not always about, oh, why didn’t he swing at that pitch that was right down the middle? It’s the first pitch of the that he’s seeing from him on the night. When’s the last time he faced him? He just wants to get a look. It’s understandable. It’s just unfortunate that again he didn’t he didn’t have it in mind to say I’m going to go after a first pitch fast if I get one because if he had that mindset then he’s hitting the crap out of it. Uh two- two pitch. He went after a change up that dip below the zone. He swings and misses and strikes out. Adley Rutman retired and the Orioles go uh one, two, three. Here we go to the bottom of the second. The Yankees lead it two to nothing. All right, might be time for a lucky. Tell you what, might be might be a night where I need a few. Do I have enough? I’m so confused because I woke up a lot earlier than usual, like 3:00 am. Like, I didn’t need to wake up today until 5:00 am, but I woke up at 3. So, I’ve been up for a while. I’m not in my normal routine, but the sun I feel like I’ve been up. So, like, but the sun is just now coming up over here. I feel very uh disoriented. Okay. Uh I’ll I’ll figure it out. I have jet lag even though I haven’t gone anywhere. How you doing everybody? Another typical oral start. I know. Oh folks. That’s right. We can’t have anyone freak out out there. Okay, we’ve got to keep our composure. We’ve come too far. There’s too much to lose. We got to keep our composure. Where is Howard Jones when you need him? Is he still on my board somewhere? [Music] Things can only get better, right folks? Things can only get better. That’s that’s what I have to believe is that the Orioles screwed up so badly for 2025 that it can’t it can’t they they got to get better. They got to at least even if they’re just blindly throwing darts and like let’s sign this player or what like just randomly I think we’re going to do better than how things worked out this season. So hang in there folks. Slater will lead off and foul away a first pitch for the Yankees. Slater started the season with the White Socks and ends up on the Yankees. I think he’s happy with that move. Ground ball to third on one bounce. Westber high throw and it takes Kobe Mayo off the bag. That’s going to be an E5 on our boy Westber. unfortunate, especially with it being the leadoff man. But, uh, Kobe Mayo is a high target over there. If you’re throwing it too high to Mayo, you’re definitely throwing it too high. Mayo, some pretty nice hops. He looked a good foot and a half off the ground making that catch in the air. So a leadoff error. Anthony Vulpi at the plate. He looks at ball one. Vulpi batting just 212. Takes outside 2 and 0. Bulpi has been one of the uh Yankee players. their fan base has become a little bit uh you know uh impatient with uh this ball smacked out to left center. That ball is going to be caught on the run by Beavers. He fires it back in. Slater scampering back to first base. Dylan Beavers showing off that lanky body of his. He’s got some wingspan, folks. That ball looks certain to be over his head. A really fine play. And that that’ll do a lot for his confidence. Look at that. I mean, he looks like a ballerina. You take a freeze frame of that catch. Outstanding catch for out number one. Where’s Jack Burton when you need him? Besides that, it’s all in the reflexes. [Music] Beavers has had a couple of tough plays in the outfield recently, but man, that was a nice catch. Austin Wells first pitch strike. The Yankee catcher has 21 homers on the season, batting .221. Rutman setting up outside. This ball’s chopped foul. 0 and2 the count. They’re replaying a couple of nice catches Beavers made. That’s right. That snow cone catch. Yeah. So, and the last time Rogers faced the Yankees, here’s a ball that’s a double play ball. Tailor made up the middle with Gunnar Henderson playing near the second base bag. Fields it, steps on second, throws to first, and this inning is over with a twin killing, folks. [Music] All right, that’ll play. A double play and an outstanding catch by Dylan Beavers. So, defense helping out here in the second inning. Let’s see some offense. Uh we go to the third. Two nothing New York. Yeah, Slater did go in with a hard slide and that seemed a little bit sus. I mean, I’m an old schooler. I think it’s perfectly fine, but in the modern game, I think it’s judged to be a little bit sus. Didn’t seem like he had to go in like that, but just don’t hurt our boy. All right. I mean, you’re the guys going to play in October, not us. Don’t send us away with our star player with an injury. Give us a break. Uh, right. What else is going on? Uh, yeah. So, a lot of big games to to follow here this weekend. Uh, series, I guess. Detroit and Boston going head-to-head. Probably the biggest one. and they are in the bottom of the second inning and scoreless. Uh the Blue Jays who are again level with the Yankees but ahead head-to-head with the division lead right now. They are trailing the Tampa Bay Rays in the bottom of the second. It’s two to one Rays in that one. One final from earlier today. The Cubs absolutely destroyed the Cardinals 12 to1. And uh yeah, right now it’s looking like the only teams that have a chance to get in that aren’t in right now are the Astros in the American League and the Reds in the National League. The Reds have a chance to catch the Mets. Uh they are ahead of them on a tiebreaker. The Reds were in that final wildcard spot a couple days ago just for one day. Colton Cowser 01 pitch fouls it away. It’s 0 and2 folks. Get those cows up quick. We’ve already got an 02 count. [Music] 0 and2 on Cowser. He is below the Mendoza line, 199 average. Takes a curveball in the dirt. The count is one and two. So yeah, uh the Reds the team to possibly oust the Mets for the final wild card spot. And then in the American League, looks like the Astros uh they’re not going to win the division. They’re going to have to catch uh I think Boston. That’s their only chance. Boston needs to lose. Houston needs to win. Here’s a ground ball over the first base side. It’s going to be a 3 to one put out with Goldmid handling the grounder and uh Warren covering the bag for out number one. Cows are retired. Here comes Sammy Basio, folks. Sammy Basio 176 the average. Let’s Can we get a couple of games this weekend with some double-digit hits on the board? Get these averages up. Look a little nicer by the end of the season. Looks better on the back of the baseball card. It’s 1 and0 on Basio. That is a strike. One and one. Janet with the most just random profound comment of the season. It just happened folks right here in the Charm City chat. And for it to for that distinction to belong to Janet of all people really is a surprise. But there it is, folks. Oops, I dropped gravy on my phone. Has been reported. Visio pops one up to left field. Austin Slater has been busy early. He makes another catch and left for the second out in the top of the third. Uh we’re making things a little bit too easy on Will Warren here. Kobe Mayo, the number nine. batter coming up. It reminds me of that Saturday Night Live uh fake commercial. Oops, I crapped my pants undergarments for uh for the uh older crowd that need help, you know, like with an undergarment. Oops, I crapped my pants. Check swing roller. This is going to be a barehanded attempt by Vope and he can’t pick it up. Kobe Mayo is going to reach with an infield hit. The first base runner of the night for Baltimore is a check swing roller that dies beyond the mound on the shortstop side. Kobe Mayo finding new ways to get on base. Let’s get it all on there. Just spread it out. Here is Jackson Holiday. [Music] He looks at a strike right in there. A sweeper from Warren. Jackson hit the ball really hard to begin the ball game out to right, but uh it was a low liner right there for Aaron Judge. Just needed to take a couple of steps. Looks at a one looks at a pitch off the plate. That is a one ball, one strike count on our boy Jackson Holiday. Come on, Jackson. You want a big stage? Have a big weekend in the Bronx. One-1 pitch. What happened? Right when the pitch goes in, my stream just went berserk. It’s a 3-1 count. I guess that pitch missed. Three and one. Where is my bugle? Holiday fouls it away off of his leg. Full count. [Music] Come on, Jackson. Warren wants a new baseball. He’s rubbing it up. Full count. Two down. The runner at first will be off on the pitch. Here it is. It’s outside. It’s ball four. Two men on, two out. I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Two on, two out. Westberg, who looked really bad in striking out on three pitches his first time up, hopefully has learned a thing or two since he is up with the biggest chance of the night for Baltimore. Two men on base, two men are out. We need Westber. Well, West is that way. Come on, Westy. Folks, there’s a mound meeting. It means I got time to do this. It’s early, but I don’t care because we are in the Bronx. It’s time. Come on, Westber. Come on, Westy. Tying runs are on. Westberg has got opposite field power. Go hit a blind drive home run to that short porch. Go for it, West D. The power of the hat. First pitch is called a strike by Buckner and it’s outside. Come on. It’s the worst call the night in the biggest spot of the night. You got to be kidding me. Ump. Come on. Why don’t you wake up and smell what you shoveling? The 01 popped up and out of play. It’s 0 and2. Yeah. Get the Bag for Buckner. Not the beast. Not the beast. My eyes. My eyes. [Music] First pitch of a huge atbat. And you pull that garbage. 0 and2 on Westber. Hang in there Westy. Hang in there. Pitch. Line drive to left. That ball’s going to get over the wall. It just clears the wall and left by by birdie. A threerun homer to take the lead from Jordan West. Oh, doctor. Unbelievable. Oh ho, it’s magic. You know, it’s magic right folks. You got to love it. Splash. [Music] That ball. I was worried they might replay it because the guy sitting in the front row of that left field wall, it went right into his bread basket. I was worried. Was he leaning over a little bit? Are they going to look at this? I’m glad they didn’t. I’m sure it’s fine. But that ball did just scrape over the left field wall for an Earl Weaver special. We’ve got the lead. Gunner is at the plate. He’s got a 2-1 count. Base is empty. Two down. His name’s Gunner and he’s dating my mom. All right. God, Westy is my boy. Westy is my boy. Everybody here knows it. He’s always been my boy. Gunner takes it low. It’s three and one. Will Warren got himself in a trouble quickly. A two out rally. And now he’s behind on Gunnar Henderson. 3-1 pitch. That one’s lined. And a base hit into right field. That ball was probably hit a hundred off the bat. Henderson’s on with a two out single. And the line keeps moving, folks. God, the Yankees play in this little rinky dink little league ballpark and they they just love to brag about their offensive numbers. Yeah. Well, come on, man. Look at where you play. Look at how some of these runs of score tonight. Uh, there’s a mound meeting here for Will Warren as Tyler O’Neal will be due up next. Yeah. And folks, did I or did Thank you, Carl. Thank you, Carl. Folks, need I present further evidence that the hat and me and this team, there’s something there. When’s the last time I went to the hat in the top of a third inning of a ball game? You tell me. Why did I choose then? Why? And what happened when I did? That’s all I’m saying. just, you know, let the legend of BW be known. Okay? Let the legend be known. If nobody knows, nobody’s going to believe it. I’m depending on you people. All right. Tyler O’Neal at the plate. First pitch outside. Will Warren does not seem to have recovered after giving up that home run ball. Next pitch is inside. It’s 2 and 0. I mean, the the difference is night and day. Will Warren was doing just fine until he got to Kobe Mayo in the lineup. Now he can’t get anybody out. Fouled away on a two- pitch by O’Neal. The count is two and one. Three runs are in. Orioles have a lead here. Ahoy there. Anybody home? Warren is up to 53 pitches. And that one is fouled away. By the way, Gunnar Henderson, I would expect him to be stealing uh and looking to take his 30th stolen base of the season. He’s sitting on 29. I know he knows that the home run numbers aren’t there. He’d need three to get to 20, but he’s only one steel shy of 30. And there he goes. And here comes the throw. And he is safe. So right there, folks, does BW know how to set up a moment? Gunnar Henderson’s 30th steel of the season, leading the team obviously. And a nice uh accomplishment for Gunnar. He is the youngest player in Orioles history with 30 steals or more. How about that? It’s a full count on Tyler O’Neal. Payoff pitch. Oh, that was a nasty sinker. Can’t blame O’Neal for getting frozen on that one. That one was going outside and then tailed back over the top of the zone on the corner. Nasty strike three pitch to win the inning. But the Orioles are happy, the fans are happy, and the Yankee Stadium crowd a little bit uh dumbruck. Well, you know, you can probably put the word dumb in front of anything with these fans. But uh you know what I mean? We got a lead. The Orioles have a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the third inning, folks. How about that? We got the lead. We’ve got the lead. We’ve got the lead. Yeah, we got it. We got the lead. We got the lead. We got the lead. We got the We got We got the I’m trying to do three voices at once. It’s not easy. Okay. Uh yeah, that’ll wake you up. Little hair of the dog that bit you. So, Rogers, despite giving up that two-run homer, he’s got a lead back. Hopefully, he will lock in and shut this Yankee offense down and make it a beautiful day here in the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. Yes, Mr. Rogers. Yes. Would you be mine? Would you be mine? I have all Oh, yeah. Somebody brought that up the other day. Yeah. Uh I guess it’s a uh seasonal 7Eleven cafe. Uh Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty. Hello. How are you? Whatever. All right, Jose Cabayro. First pitch is ball one. Next pitch is ball two. Come on, Buckner. That was an inch inside. It was, but come on, man. You owe us a call here somewhere. Two and0 the count. There is a CB. That’s a strike, dude. Are you not going to give uh you know the benefit of the doubt to a guy with a 131 erra? You son of a 3 and 0 pitch. Now that’s ball four. You know what CB, you’re you are on blast, dude. I’m watching you, pal. Oh, we get the lead back and suddenly uh that’s Yeah. Okay. I’m watching you, buddy. Why don’t you wake up and smell what you shoveling? Why don’t you wake up and smell what you shoveling? Cabierro, by the way, a major base stealing threat. And there’s nobody out. First pitch to Goldmid is a strike Buckner. Not the beast. Not the beast. My eyes. 01 pitch. That one’s lifted to left. Should be playable. Beavers comes in a few steps. Makes the catch. One down. Cabayro at first. And now it is Aaron Judge versus Trevor Rogers. Part D. Rogers struck out Judge looking first time up. And I’m looking at the pitch sequence he gave Judge that first time up and everything was on the edge or out of the zone. Change up and Rogers gets ahead of Judge 0 and one as he fouls it off. Another quality pitch from Rogers against arguably the best damn hitter in baseball. I mean, there really is no argument. Raleigh, I want to win the MVP, but Judge is all around the biggest threat out there. Good grief. 330 average plus the power. All right. 01 pitch that gets away. Rutman. Hey, I’m absolutely shocked. Jose Cababayero again known for his speed. That ball got away pretty far. Rutman quick to get up to go after it, but I thought for sure Kabier would have broke away. He He started to break way late. That was That was helpful for us. He should have taken off. He would have gotten second base. That pitch is fouled away. It’s 1 and2 on judge. 3-2 Orioles in the bottom of the third inning. Both teams scoring on one swing. A two-run homer for New York. A three-run homer for us. That ball is hit hard into center field and deep. Cowser is going to watch it sneak over the center field wall for a home run. Unbelievable. Home run derby at Yankee Stadium tonight. The Yankees regain the lead on a two-run homer by Judge. It’s 4 to3 New York. 423 ft just about 110 miles an hour off the bat. And just like that, this is already probably the worst outing of the season for Trevor Rogers. Four runs given up. I hope our offense is in the mood to trade blows and continue to score for Rogers because he has earned the right to have a night where he gives up four runs, but the team helps him win anyway. Hopefully that’ll be the last stain on his uh record tonight. Cody Bellinger looks at a 1-1 pitch low and away. It’s two balls, one strike. So, yeah, walks in front of both home runs. That really hurts. 2-1 pitch. That one is hit hard, but Bellinger way out in front of a change up. Two and two on the foul ball. Yeah, Rogers, that home run pitch to Judge was definitely in a spot you cannot throw a 91 mph fast ball. That was not a good location for Rogers. 3-2 to Bellinger. Oh, come on, CB. Give us that corner, man. Screw you, dude. I mean, you have to know at this point you we’ve earned a makeup call, right? That was the time. That was it right there. Instead, it’s ball four. Third walk given up by Rogers in two and a third innings. The Orioles are going to slow the game down right now. Rutman and Rogers are talking on the mound. Stanton do up. He’s already got a home run tonight. Drew French has joined the chat. All I know is Buckner has made a couple of calls that were the worst calls and they just happen to be in the biggest of spots. Just funny how that works out. That’s all I know. And again, Trevor Rogers, if a pitch is on the on the edge, given his track record this season, don’t you think Rogers has kind of earned a call like that? Especially if it’s a difference between a walk or a strikeout. Here is Stanton. He blasts off to left center. That ball is going to go all the way over the bullpen. An absolute moonshot to left center field and the Yankees now lead it six-3. Rogers has been lit up by the home run ball by the biggest guys in the Yankee lineup. Two from Stanton, one from Judge. I’m not folding up my tent yet. I haven’t seen anything Will Warren is doing to make me feel like we can’t come back and get back in this game. So, whatever. This is Orioles Yankees. It’s a war right now. Uh we just took uh we’re wounded. We’re bleeding. Well, we got time to address those wounds and go back out there and fight. So, let’s go. 0 and2 on Rosario. Ground ball to third. Westber should be routine. It is. That’s the second out of the inning. Rosario grounds out five to three. Let’s get back on track. First of all, let’s just realize who who stands to really lose something by not winning this game. They do. Not us. Who who has pressure? They do. Not us. Got a long way to go in this ball game. It’s the Yankees. It’s the only team I ask that you don’t just start uh phoning it in. Keep fighting. Let’s go. Want to know the count on Slater? Grounded foul. Oneonone the count. Folks, I haven’t even talked about the like button, subscribing, or any of that. It’s Orioles Yankees. I’m too focused. But I can see in the chat Miss Janet mentioning the crowd here. Uh there is a swing and a miss by Slater. One and two is the count. So yeah, please hit the like button if you don’t mind folks. Thumbs up bottom of your screen. It helps the channel. And if you haven’t subscribed, please do that as well. It’s below. It’s free. Swing and a miss. A good change up. Strikes out Austin Slater. And the inning is finally over. The Orioles had taken the lead in the top of the third, but the Yankees exploded. They take it back and then some. Four runs on the inning. A couple of two-run homers off the bat of Aaron Judge and John Carlos Stanton. Three homers given up by Rogers tonight. Three walks to go with it. Not the Trevor Rogers we’ve seen this season. But again, I said this before, first pitch, I don’t care what the result of this game is tonight. Uh once Trevor Rogers is finished with his outing, I’m going to give this guy a standing ovation. It’s been a ridiculous run that we may never see again from an oral pitcher. All right, so keep that in mind, folks. Uh, you have to you got to tip a cap to Rogers no matter what happens tonight. Uh, let’s see here. What’s going on with those other key games? Detroit ahead 3 nothing on Boston. Top of the fourth and they are threatening for more. Second and third with nobody out for the Tigers. Toronto has tied it up with Tampa. They’re at two apiece in the top of the fourth. Uh the Mets, they uh are looking to take advantage of a pretty good matchup for them to hold the ground on that final wildcard spot in the National League. They lead the Marlins two to nothing in the top of the fourth. Cleveland now they are ahead on Detroit head-to-head uh level on record. Detroit is winning right now and Cleveland is losing. So Detroit could regain first place tonight if the scores stay where they are. Texas lead the Guardians 4 to2 in the bottom of the third. All right, Dylan Beavers leading it off. And like I said, let’s just go right at it. Will Warren looked pretty sus to me in the last inning. And uh let’s just uh not pay attention to the scoreboard. Go up there and have some good at bats. Will Warren’s 01 pitch is low. One ball, one strike on Beavers. Folks, we are running out of time this season for me to take a good look at your beavers. Nice beaver. Thank you. Let me look at your Beavers in the chat. Oh, he takes a foul ball. Looks like right off the ankle. I mean, it made a loud noise. And Beavers is hobbling out there. He just needs a few seconds, it looks like. He’s still trying to work it out. Buckner is giving him a chance to regain his composure. Cleaning up the home plate area. How about you clean up your act? Call them balls and strikes, you bum. Thank you for the courtesy. All right, 60th pitch of the night from Warren. It’s a one-two pitch to the leadoff hitter Dylan Beavers in the top of the fourth and it is fouled away. A curveball. Nice beaver. Thank you. Got Bush. We’ve got Bush. Uh one ball, two strike pitch. Oh, Beavers chased one. A change up going away and down. Out of reach. Beavers strikes out. One away in the top of the fourth. That was a lunging swing. No chance. Adley Rutman 0 for one. Looks at one low. Oh, a curve ball. Let the clutch out, Adley. Let the clutch out gently. Okay, 10 popped up on the infield. No, that’s going to make the outfield and foul ground left field line caught as made as Rosario falls down under the seat of his pants making the catch. Not the most graceful catch you’ll ever see from a major league player, but uh Rosario makes out number two. Colton Cowser is up. [Music] Oh, that’s a good swing. That’s going for the gap. That ball will get down and bounce up against the wall for extra bases. Cowser glides in the second standing with a two out double. Splash it up. [Music] All right. Didn’t we do all our damage with two down in that three-run inning with the home run from Westber? Might we do it again? Keep the line moving. Here is Sammy Basio. check on. Oh, that ball gets away as Vulpi and Cowser meet at the second base bag on a pickoff attempt. Vulpi looks to have slightly uh scuffed himself up in some way. He appears to be okay. That ball went right through the legs of Opie, but he didn’t make a wincing face as he maybe his cleat got caught. Maybe his spike got caught in the dirt as he flipped over there. Uh so we’ve got uh Cowser at second base here with two down. Base hit gets a run back for Baltimore. Bisio with a 10 count. All right. Come on, Sammy. Pitch outside. 2 and 0. Come on, folks. [Music] Um, I don’t think Scotty’s here to rub it in, Matt. I think he’s here to rub one out. But you know that’s behavior you expect from Yankee fans. 3 and 0 the count on Sammy Basio. The pitch he’s swinging 3 and 0. It’s a foul ball. Runner at second. Two down for Baltimore. Ah, the good old Yankee fifth. Yes, that should be coming up uh next inning. Can’t wait. The classic Yankee fifth. That’s a called strike on the outside edge. Full count on Bio. Two down with a runner at second base. Warren’s next pitch will be number 70. Come on, Sammy. Payoff pitch. Swung on. Fouled away right along the first baseline. Full count. Come on, Sammy. [Music] Activity in the Yankee pin. Tim Hill. That old geyser is getting up. Pitch called strike three. And that’s off the plate. And Sammy has words with Buckner. Unbelievable. [ __ ] you, CB. Why don’t you wake up and smell what you shoveling? Uh, swearing rules are completely off the table. Swear as much as you’d like. Whatever. I’m pissed. Inning over. Where’s the bees? Not the bees. Not the bees. My eyes. [Music] What a joke. What a joke. Anybody see uh what happened to George Springer the other day facing the Yankees? Even he had to be like like if the umps want the Yankees to win then just give it to him. Like what are you doing to me? Springer got screwed on a ground ball down the third base line. It was a fair ball called foul. They wouldn’t review it. It was not a play the team could challenge. It was a play if the umpires decided to review. It would have shown it was fair, but they didn’t. And then Springer’s at bat continues and he got rung up on a pitch that was not in the zone and that really dictated that Yankee Blue Jay outcome. uh Buckner tonight. I tell you what, I’m not one of these types to say, “Oh, this is this,” but I mean, the optics don’t look good. Again, just one makeup call and I’m like, “All right, all right, there’s a makeup call.” But no, it’s just nah, not yet. Every bad call has been a huge call all against us. I mean, this sucks. I need a lucky Colin Selby is on. Trevor Rogers is done. Trevor Rogers goes three innings and that’s it. My god. I hope it’s just a matter of putting him on ice and calling it a season. Uh, and nothing to do with any arm issues, but uh, Rogers is out of the game on 52 pitches. I mean, he did give up six runs. When I grew up, that would be enough to get you taken out of a ball game, but we just want to make sure Rogers is okay. Obviously, hopefully we’ll get a confirmation on that. Uh, Colin Selby’s in the pitch. Anthony Vulpi at the plate in the bottom of the fourth and the count is 0 and2 on Vulpi. That’s tapped foul. Still 0 and2 Buckner. If only I could figure out some clever rhyme to insult Buckner with that. Selby pitches up and in. One ball, two strikes on Vulpi. So Trevor Rogers will finish the season. Yes, Michael. With a 1.81 ERA. He had one bad outing, happened to be the final one, and he’s still got himself one hell of a season. Uh, that ball’s hit to center field and deep. Cowser still going back onto the track, makes the catch in front of the bullpen just to the right of center field for the first out. I don’t think where I’m physically sitting has anything to do with the Orioles uh destiny. I think the destiny is that uh you know for some reason things just fell in place where I put this channel together and here I am and you found me. There is your destiny. Uh 01 pitch to Wells is outside. One ball, one strike. Austin Wells grounded into a double play his first time up. One out, nobody on. Bottom of the fourth. That pitch fouled away. One and two. Uh, give me one sec, folks. Got to open up the old back door area here. Well, maybe I’ll wait another pitch because I can’t find my camera button. There it is. One and two on Wells. Well, now what’s the delay? All right, that was my opportunity and I blew it. All right, after a brief delay, here comes the one-two pitch in the dirt. Two and two, folks. By the way, like count, if we really tried, we can get to 3600 by the end of the weekend. But if that needle doesn’t move up to 3560 tonight, then I would assume no chance. We got to get that subscriber count up, folks. Anything you guys can do to help get it up? All right, don’t take that sentence out of context. Oh no, I just realized what I said. Uh, payoff pitch to Wells, lined foul off to the right. Still three and two. Sometimes words have a way of coming together in a way it didn’t really mean to. Payoff pitch to Austin Wells. Check swing. Did he go? They tag him. He is out. Wells strikes out. Selby with the strike out. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? One moment. Cabierro swinging at the first pitch. Hits a fly ball to shallow center. Cowser with the catch and the inning is over. It’s a one, two, three inning from Colin Selby in relief after a short night for Trevor Rogers. We go to the fifth inning. The Yankees lead at 6-3. All right. Might I also point out folks that again this is the final weekend of the Bird Watcher channel in terms of Orioles baseball coverage for the 2025 season. Uh I plan on calling games I I mean I plan on it I will be calling games in October for playoffs and there will be content in the off season. But in terms of uh the sort of uh views and uh you know crowd and revenue that’s uh made from calling oral games during the regular season. Uh that is all going to be coming to an end for several months after Sunday. So just uh putting it out there. If anybody feels generous enough to donate to the cause to help get BW through the winter uh at some point this weekend, now’s the time to do it. And uh if you want your donation, if you did do it, uh to go a little bit longer of a way to me and not to YouTube, uh there is a Kofi link. Maybe one of the mods can drop it in there. It’s like KO-N fibratcher or something. I’ll probably bring that up once a game for these final three games. I hope you don’t mind me uh pandering or whatever. But again, the season’s about to wrap up. Just throwing it out there. All right, we’ve got top of the fifth inning and Kobe Mayo is going to lead it off. And then it’s the top of the oral order after that. Will Warren is going to throw a first pitch strike. Mayo got an infield hit his first time up. He’s had a good September. Swinging a miss. He chases a fast ball off the plate a little bit outside. I count one or O and two. The O2 pitch swung on and missed. Mayo goes down on three pitches. Not a good start to the fifth inning for Baltimore. Here comes the top of the order. Uh uh I’m probably calling the Cubs and Padres’s. I’m I am calling the Cubs and Padres’s series. Holiday pops it up in the shallow left. That’ll be caught by Slater for the second out. This is what I didn’t want to see. An oral offense just kind of lose their their fire after uh giving up that lead the way that they did. Let’s get Rogers off the hook for the loss. Let’s try and put some good at bats together. Not happening here in the fifth inning so far. Here is Jordan Westber swinging a miss. He chased one in the dirt and it’s 0 and one. Right-hander up in the Yankee bullpin. Mark Lighter Jr. So it might be a five inning night for Warren. That’s hit to the opposite field. Westber. Look at that approach. Jordan Westber. He is the oral captain. I’m sorry. Like when it comes to these position players when it comes to, you know, setting uh an an example for the rest of this team to follow. It’s Jordan Westber for me, folks. Westber’s not ready to give up. Second hit of the night. Opposite field. Two down for Gunner Henderson. He looks at a pitch low for ball one. His name’s Gunnar and he’s dating my mom. Gunner has a single and a stolen base. One for two. He pops up a curveball and this will end the inning. Bellinger waiting for it. And that will do it. We go to the bottom of the fifth. This game is halfway through. The Yankees have doubled up the Orioles so far. Yankees 6, Orioles three. Matt, welcome to Magic Members. Wait, Matt, you weren’t a Magic Member and now you are. Well, welcome, Matt. How you doing, Matt? It’s a pleasure to meet you. Message for you, son. All right. And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. How did I know that the first thing Matt would reach for is the Old Bay emojis. You got to go for the Old Bay first, right? That’s the most Maryland thing in the whole list. When I found that, I was like, “Wow, that’s that’s getting added. Welcome in Matt had to renew.” All right. Well, does that mean you have to start from zero in terms of consecutive months or whatever? cuz uh you might have to wait a little bit longer on those special binoculars like pocket watch who’s got the ultimate binoculars and George with the uh I think it’s the sixmonth binocular for George in the oneear for pocket watch if I’m not mistaken. I should probably know this. Thank you for joining there, Matt. And thanks again for modding uh these past couple of seasons. Beavers is out of the game, Scott. This is news to me. Let me look. You’re right. Dylan Carlson is in the game for Beavers. Uh might it have something to do with that catch he made in the outfield? Uh, I’m wondering Beavers is indeed out of the ball game. Thanks for reporting that, Scott. I had no idea. Paul Goldman, ground ball backhanded by Westber. He gets up, throws in time to first on a bounce. Oh, doctor. I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again. Jordan Westber, Orio captain. Look at this play. Oh my. I mean, stop, pop, and throw from one end of the foul line to the other. A fine play by Westber. One down in the inning for Judge. Besides that, it’s all in the reflexes. Matt. Matt with a membership and a super chat. Oh, Matt. showing double support, folks. I think Matt is setting a tone here. Thank you so much, Matt. It’s a uh mutual feeling of thanks. Uh Aaron Judge 1-1 pitch from Selby is in there for a strike. A knuck Oh, it’s not Selby. Oh, that’s Mayo over there. I’m like, where did his beard go? There’s Kobe Mayo hanging out of first base. Uh one two pitch check swing. Did he go? No. No, he did not go. Right. Oh, yeah. He hit the ball hard off of himself. That’s right. So, right shin discomfort. He’s probably got a big old strawberry on his leg there. All right, that’s uh it probably hurts right now to be Dylan Beavers, but he’s not seriously hurt. He’ll be okay. Full count on Judge. And folks, this pitch could have been strike three. I’m getting so pissed off. Selby hit the outside edge and doesn’t get the call. So, just give Aaron Judge a free swing. And he struck him out anyway with a curveball in the dirt. Sit down, Judge. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Sit the hell down. You should have sat down one pitch sooner. Ain’t nothing you can do about that, Buckner. Two down. Bellinger with a big cut. Fouls it away. Yeah. ABS next season. Blue. Just you wait. You brought this on yourself. I don’t want some stupid robot helping out this game that I love, but you brought it on yourselves. You stink. Base hit to right field by Bellinger. A two out single. All right. Yeah. The the rule is folks, ABS next season, you get two challenges and as long as you’re right, you keep them. You get to be wrong once and still have one left. If you’re wrong twice, that’s it. But if you’re not wrong, you can really make an umpire look bad if they’re not doing their job. Uh John Carlos Stanton takes ball one. And that might have Well, I didn’t quite see where that pitch landed, but that might have been a strike for all I know. One and0 on Stanton. Two down, runner at first. There is a strike. Knuckle curve. That first pitch was outside, I think. Well, maybe not. No, I’m looking at Bellinger’s at bat. Where was that first pitch to Judge or Stanton? Sorry. That was inside. Okay. Uh-oh. Stanton’s looking for his third home run of the night. That ball is going to stay in the yard this time, though. O’Neal makes the catch on the track and right, and the inning is over. Okay, folks. We still have 12 outs to play with. Down three runs. This ain’t over. I wore the hat for a reason. All right, hang in there and uh I’ll be right back. [Music] [Music] [Music] He met a strange friend in the Chesapeake Bay when the Where you from? Baltimore. What? Baltimore. Baltimore. What’s that? It doesn’t really matter. All right. Are there things that make you angry? Are there things that make you angry? Uh, CB Buckner, are there things that make you angry? Uh, John Bacon, are there things that make you angry? Uh, what’s that one guy? Jim Wolf. Are there things that make you angry? Uh, the alleged upgrades that the Orioles are making to the ballpark for 2026. Are there things that make you angry? Uh, wondering whether or not Manelino’s going to be managing again next season and reading that some players want him to. Are there things that make you angry? Uh, not Paul Simon who is sitting in the crowd watching the game. Hey Paul, how you doing? [Music] Tyler O’Neal first pitch strike. Next pitch is out to right center. Travel travel. That ball is gone. Bye by by Tyler O’Neal. Folks, alert the media. O’Neal helping out his ninth home run of the season. An opposite field shot 394 the distance. It is now a 6 to4 ball game and it is home run derby here tonight in the Bronx. Folks, this game ain’t over. I told you that will knock the pitcher out of the ball game. It’s magic. [Music] [Music] All right. Call to the bullpin for the Yankees. Home run derby. How did it start? John Carlos Stanton with a two-run shot in the bottom of the first. The Orioles came back to take a 3-2 lead with a three-run homer from Jordan Westber. The Yankees took the lead immediately back with a two-run homer from Aaron Judge to make it four to three. Stanton then homered for a second time. Another two-run shot. Third two-run homer by the Yankees, his second uh to make it six to three. And now Tyler O’Neal, a solo shot for us here in the top of the six. It’s a six to4 ball game. The Orioles have out hit the Yankees four to three or six to four. Yankees only have one hit that’s not a home run. Uh we have the only error. That is where we’re at. Mark Lighter Jr. is going to come on in to pitch for the Yankees. Right-hander. He’s got an erra of 4.91. That’s not very good. Let’s hope we can get to him. Bloop and a blast. That’s where we’re at. That’s where we’re at now. Dylan Carlson’s due to hit next. It’s going to be his first at bat since coming into the game for Dylan Beavers. Beavers took a foul ball off the shin and is out of the game. Carlson looks at strike one. It’ll be Rutchman and Cowser to follow. Lighters next pitch is outside. It’s one ball, one strike on Dylan. Dylan, your son? Not that I know of. One-1 pitch. Hit on the ground. Couple of hops to first. It’s bobbled and no recovery. Paul Goldmid uh in his prime known for a very solid glove at first base. Not so solid here, folks. Do we have a Yankee fifth happening here in the sixth? And do we have a Yankee fifth about to unravel here in the sixth? We’re hoping for it. That first play right there kind of makes you feel like something might happen. Here’s Adley Rutman. He’s 0 for two. Orioles Magic. It’s not over till it’s over, folks. First pitch, breaking ball in there for a strike. That curve at just 74 miles an hour. Carlson on at first. It is an error. Adley looks at a splitter low. One and one the count. Let the clutch out gently. Okay. Error on Goldmid to begin the top of the sixth. Rutman at the plate. Actually, it doesn’t begin. O’Neal’s home run begins the top of the sixth. Let me amend my statement. After that home run ball, we got a rally started here. And now the count is two and one on Rutman. The pitch that is in the dirt. Three and one, folks. [Music] Right now, Lighter is throwing pitches so poorly that even Buckner can’t screw us. The count is three and one. There’s nobody out. One more base runner. Well, actually, we got the tying run at the plate. What are we doing? Pitch. That is a strike on the knees inside corner. Full count. Do we send Carlson here on this 3-2 pitch? I say yes. I am going out on a limb and saying yes. Let him go. That is ball four. Doesn’t matter. Adley walks. We got two on. Those are the tying runs on base with nobody out. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here, folks. A Yankee fifth in the sixth inning tonight. What do you say? [Music] Let’s see some cows in the chat. Colton Cowser’s got a hit tonight. One for two. A double is last time up. Two men on, nobody out. And a curveball. Is that where? That is low. That is low. Can again. Big RBI spot. Big moment. And you start off the AB putting us behind the eightball. Cowser. A ground ball to first. This is going to be a productive out. Two runners will move up on a ground ball to Goldmid. He will get it to the pitcher covering. One away. Runners at second and third. Buckner. I swear to God, man, if you get involved in this rally, I got nothing. I’m too far away. Sammy Basio, folks, cross your fingers. Basio, I remember had a bad call on him. He had words with Buckner last time up. Takes the first pitch. That’s a strike. Sammmyy’s just wondering, “What do I have to do here?” Well, what you got to do, Sammy, is put the ball in play. Second and third, one down. Got to get a run in here in this at bat. Pitch, swing, and a miss. And Bio’s helmet comes off. It is 0 and two. Got to make contact. And if it’s close to the zone, doesn’t matter if you know it’s a a ball, it might be a strike. But this sump, you got to swing. Sammy chases one and fouls it away. Still 0 and2. Come on, Sammy. [Music] No balls, two strikes, one out. Second and third pitch. Swinging a miss. No, he got a piece. Oh my god. Thank god. I completely lost sight of that foul ball. I thought Vio came up with air. It is a foul ball. It’s still 0 and2. All right. Now I feel like we’re playing with house money. Come on. 02 pitch. That’s in the dirt. One ball, two strikes. Come on. [Music] Couple of Orioles stirring in the pin. A lefty Castillo. The righty Canó. One and two on Basio. Pitch. He lays off. No, he didn’t go. Don’t even act like he went. Okay, he did not go. Two and two. Come on, Sammy. Two two pitch, baby. Come on, baby. Come on. Come on. Come on. Put it in play. Put it in play. Pitch. [ __ ] Sammy swings a one in the dirt and strikes out. Two away. Sorry for losing my cool. Ah, damn it. We need Kobe Mayo to come up big. Two down. A base hit could tie the ball game. And a swing and a miss on a curveball makes it 0 and one on Mayo. Let’s get it all on there. Just spread it out. Come on. [Music] All right. All right. All right. All right. Hold on. 0 and one the count. Mayo asks for time. Okay. You want to bugle again? Fine. One more. [Music] Come on, Charm City chat. Come on, Kobe Mayo. The 01. He lays off a curveball low. One ball, one strike. Mayo, come on, buddy. This park is smaller than your average AAA park. You got this. Just square up the baseball. Come on, buddy. One ball, one strike. Mayo out of the box. Back in. We’re in the top of the six. The Yankees lead six to four. The Orioles have the tying runs in scoring position with two down. The 1-1 outside two- one. All right, that was a fast ball straight and started way outside. Easy to lay off. Two and one to Mayo. We need one mistake from Lighter here. Come on, pitch. Breaking ball. Lying hard, but foul into the Yankee crowd. It’s two balls, two strikes, two on, two out, and too much for me to take. Even lighters on 22 pitches. Deuces are wild. Pitch in the dirt. Full count, folks. Holy cow. [Music] One more time. [Music] Payoff pitch to Kobe Mayo. Lighter from the belt and now he steps off. Reset. Big moment in the ball game. Here comes the pitch. Off the plate. Curve ball. Ball four. Base is loaded. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Jackson Holiday coming up right now. [Music] And that’s going to do it for Mark Lighter Jr. The Yankees won a lefty. We’ve seen this situation play out just about every ball game when the lineup flips over for Baltimore and you got Holiday and Gunner hitting one and three, the opposing team is seemingly always ready to come in with a lefthander to face those two bats. And that’s the story here again tonight. Can Holiday produce off a lefty? Bases are loaded. We have a chance to tie. We have a chance to take the lead. Or we have a chance to come away with nothing and still be down two and morale completely shattered. There’s a lot of ways this can go, folks. I’d like for it to go a good way. Hey, guess what? We’ve got over a 100 people here. That means the like count can technically get to 100 or more. We’re in the 80s. I love the decade. It’s 1981 right now, folks. Cal Ripken Jr.’s almost about to make his 82. It’s Ripken’s rookie season, folks. Can I hear 83? Our last World Series. Let’s get that like count up and go through the years, folks. Who wants to be like number 83 World Series? That’s a very important like to be. Ah, look at that. Just freeze on 82. I thought I had something going. I thought I had some momentum. So, it’s going to be the veteran Tim Hill. Tim Hill is got a 314 erra. It’s his 70th appearance of the season. Opponents are hitting 234 of them. He’s not a strikeout pitcher. He’s a get weak contact kind of a guy. And the first pitch to Holiday is way inside for ball one. [Music] Carlson at third, Rutman at second, Mayo at first. The pitch is a sinker called a strike. Hill comes in with that uh 3/4 to sidearm delivery. And again, his pitches are slow and slower. 1-1. That is a ground ball that should end the inning. Hill goes over to cover the bag on a grounder to first and Holiday leaves them loaded. Tough, tough, tough. The Orioles get one run, but man, a chance to really, really get back into it right there. Holiday with a ground ball out to end the inning. He is 0 for three with a walk. Bottom of the sixth. That’s still a ball game, folks. Yankees six, Orioles four. Oh, Chileo. Oh, Chileo. I got a button just for Chile. Now, are there things that make you angry? Are there things that make you angry? [Music] It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. Are there things that make you angry? [Laughter] Chilo, you’re not going to be happy that I found this Mr. Rogers soundbite. Are there things that make you angry? You’re not going to be happy. Got a feeling this button is going to get a lot of use. All right. How about this for a button up and kick in like men like men. Now that’s more like it. That is the sound of somebody who says, “I’m not around here to point fingers or point out how we suck. I’m here to say there’s still a game on.” Damn it. Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. That’s called a rally cry. Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. That’s right. Let’s go. It’s the bottom of the sixth. Yankees lead it six to four. Yinier Canó is on the mound. Oh my. What will we have here? Canó basically the Mark Lighter Jr. of our bullpen. Their erra almost identical. Uh both veteran relievers with subpar seasons. Trent Gisham is going to pinch hit in the number five spot. First pitch he sees. Line drive, base hit to right. Gisham hitting for Ahmed Rosario. One Canó pitch and the Yankees have traffic on the bases. And they are taking it to Mancelino for bringing in Canó because one right-handed hitter lifted for a pinch hitter and now another as Austin Slater gives way to Jazz Chisum Jr. Jazz enters the ball game. I think I would have rather have kept, you know, a lefty facing the likes of Slater and Rosario versus a righty facing Gisham and Jazz. But what do I know? Chisum fouls one back. It’s 0 and one. Runner at first. Nobody out for the Yankees in the bottom of the sixth. 01 pitch from Cano to Jazz. Swinging a miss, a splitter. Gisham does have the ability to swipe a base. Yeah, he’s on it first. 0 and2 on Jazz. There’s nobody out. We need to get Jazz out. Cano’s pitch off the plate. Low and away. Cano with three gold chains on tonight. That ball is down the right field line. Foul. One and two on Jazz Chisum Jr. Toronto now with a lead on Tampa 4 to2 in the top of the seventh. Tigers up three to one on Boston in the top of the seventh. pitches in the dirt. A splitter from Canó. Two balls, two strikes. Miami. Oh my. The Mets, they took an early two nothing lead. The Marlins have responded. They lead it six-2 on the Mets. Meanwhile, the Reds trying to catch. They trail one- nothing to the Brewers. Swing and a miss. Jazz strikes out. Sit down, you bum. [Applause] Right. Love the music, hate the player. Well, you all come back now. You hear? Sit down. Hit the bricks, pal. You’re done. You get nothing. You lose. Good day, sir. How about this? Peace, love, dope. Now get the hell out of here. Anthony Vulpi looks at a strike. Too late. Oh, should I maybe uh follow the great example uh given out by Yankee fans about not hating? Is Is that what I’m supposed to do? Shall I follow the the example Yankee fans give in that regard? Okay, that’ll work. Uh, pitch to Vulpi lined foul. It’s 0 and2, right? You don’t hate anything, right? You don’t Yankee fans don’t hate anything. Yankee fans, folks, they don’t hate. They don’t hate on any. Yeah, I’m I’m I’m supposed to believe this. So, you’re just saying you don’t hate the Orioles. What else do you not hate? Jolly Ranchers, what do I care? You guys hate. Don’t sit here and try to pretend like you’re on some kind of uh, you know, pedestal when it comes to, you know, your attitude. Uh, it’s it’s not on a pedestal. Okay. Not in any way, shape, or form. Vulpi is going to bloop one in the right. That is a single. Gisham stops at second base. Two on with one out. And hey, if you need proof, head on over right now to NY Underground’s YouTube channel. He’s live streaming calling this game. Hang out in that Yankee chat. Even though they’re winning right now, I would bet you wouldn’t have to sit around for more than 60 seconds to see somebody saying something negative about your own team. Okay. It’s just a game. We are. We are. Oh, wait. Is we are we are Is that like it is what it is? I love expressions like that. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. Hey folks, we are what we are. I am what I am. I’m Popeye. Ahoy there. Anybody home? Uh Austin Wells has a count of one and0. Two on, one out for the Yankees in the bottom of the six. Wells is 0 for two. Now we’re are having fun. There’s a strike at the bottom of the zone. One ball, one strike on Wells. Lessons from Yankee fans about not hating on something. Okay. Appreciate it. One pitch is hit on the ground. That is a base hit. O’Neal is going to fire home. Gisham coming home. The throw. Rutchman cuts it off. He’s not at the plate for a play. That is a RBI single for Austin Wells. The Yankees lead by three now. 7 to four. Yinier Canó. And there’s Chile. I knew it wouldn’t take long. Are there things that make you angry? Seven to four the score. Runners at the corners for the Yankees with one out. Jose Cababierro coming up next. Cabierro 0 for one pitch. He shows bunt and a throw down to third. We’ve got the runner. We got the runner. Oh, a failed safety squeeze. Suicide squeeze. Well, it didn’t look safe to me. It looked more like suicide as Calabayro cannot make contact on a bun attempt. Runner at third broke for the plate and we nail him. Westber applies the tag for the second out of the inning. Oopsie. What happened there? [Music] And here’s a ball that’s uh Hopper right in front of the plate. Brutman pounces and throws out Cabierro to end the inning. Folks, this inning played out pretty strange. The uh Yankees score a run, but uh you know, it could have been a lot worse. To borrow expression from Fargo, it could have been a lot worse. Yeah. Yeah. You’ll bet you. Well, see, it’s my deal here, Wade. I I need the full 300,000. It’s my deal. Uh we are What are we doing now? Seventh inning coming up. Would you look at that, folks? It’s the late innings. We’re down three. And we got uh we got a nice little part of the order coming up here for us. Got a nice little part of the order. Westber, Gunner, and O’Neal combined tonight. They are four for nine. It’s not bad. Heck, no finders fee. I I I need the whole 300,000 here. This is my deal here. Oh, we’re not a bank, Jerry. Oh, you just expected for us to front all the money while you collect. Is that it? We’re not a bank, Jerry. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But you see, I need I need to the whole 300,000. You see? Oh, for what the Christ, no Jean, no money, [Laughter] huh? The kid sits here to have dinner and goes straight to McDonald’s. What do you think they’re going to McDonald’s for? Not to drink milkshakes. I can tell you that. So, so how would you describe him then? Well, you know, just a little guy, kind of funnyl looking. Yeah. Anything apart from that? No, just uh, you know, just kind of funnyl looking, you know. Yeah. Yeah. Go Bears. Well, he wasn’t circumcised. Uh, is there anything else? I think he said something about going to the Twin Cities. Does that help? Yeah. Oh, you betcha. Yeah. All right, we’re back for baseball. End scene. Uh Jordan Westber’s leading off. He’s got a couple of hits tonight, including the big hit, a three-run homer, and he just took a big hack at a bad pitch. Tim Hill the lefty still on the mound. The count is one and one on Westber. Well, West is that way. No, just kind of funny looking. Brown ball to Jazz at second base. Westber is retired. One down in the top of the seventh. We’re down three. This seems like an inning we need to get something in if we have designs on a comeback here. Gunnar Henderson coming up. Oh, they just gave me the two cent stamp. G George Lundigard, he got the 25 cent stamp. Oh, but you know those two cent stamps, they’re they’re still very very important, dear. How so? Well, you know, every time the postage goes up, you need those two cent stamps. You’re mard. I guess you’re right. We We really do have it all, don’t we, hun? Uh, Gunnar Henderson with a two ball, one strike count. Uh, come on, Gunnar. His name’s Gunnar and he’s dating my mom. Ground ball. Second base again. Jazz Chisum hasn’t been in the game long, but he’s been busy. He’s made the first two outs. Couple of ground balls to second from Westber and Gunner. This is not the rally I was hoping for here in the seventh inning. Tyler O’Neal coming up with two down. Yankees are going to make a move to the bullpen. A right-hander is coming in with Tyler O’Neal due up. So there you go. It’s all about bringing in the lefty to get Holiday and then get Gunner and then take him out. That’s what they did with Tim Hill and a righty coming on with O’Neal do up next. Base is empty, two down in the top of the seventh. Uh Janet, I rank Fargo as my number one movie of the 1990s. And the 1990s has some of my favorite films. It was a great decade for movies. And Fargo for me is number one. It’s a perfect film. It’s a perfect script. It’s uh it’s just perfectly executed. Uh just the right amount of Cohen brothers quirkiness. Uh you don’t quite know where things are going. They don’t spoon feed you much. Uh the attention to detail with the uh the dialects and the region. uh are great. You’ve got Steve Shemi. You got uh uh what’s uh what’s her name? Great actress. Uh come on. Uh our main lady. Come on, help me out. Francis McDorman. Francis McDorman. Criminally underrated as an actress. I mean, I know she’s won awards. Uh Three Billboards Outside Billings. Uh what is it? Billings, Montana or something. three billboards outside somewhere. Oh, she was great in that. She’s been in a lot of stuff, but you know, never really been like a, you know, like an actress people kind of talk about as an A-list actress, but man, she’s good. Uh, anyway, we are back to action here with a right-hander on for the Yankees, Fernando Cruz. This is the guy with that splitter. Just lay off of it unless he hangs it. Splitter and sinker. That’s That’s basically it. It’s 2 and 0 on O’Neal. Hit a home run his last time up inside ball three. Okay. No, Tyler, you do not have the green light. Take another pitch on 3 0 here. That is ball four. And finally, Buckner gives us a call back. That was a strike. That splitter hit the bottom of the zone. And I tell you what, if they’re not going to give Cruz that call with that splitter, that’s his pitch. I mean, if you’re not going to call that, Cruz is in a whole lot of trouble. Here is Dylan Carlson blowing away for ball one. Again, it’s all about the splitter with this guy. Next pitch that has top of the zone with a fast ball. One and one the count. You can almost see Carlson just looking for something low. And as soon as that pitch was upper part of the plate, he just said, “Nope, not where I’m looking.” One- one pitch. That’s up. And that’s a second strike. All right, Dylan. He’s showing you two high fast balls. Will he go back there or now? How is he going to give you the pitch you were waiting for? It is mind games here. One ball, two strikes. Pitch that splitter lays off. Good eye. That’s what Dylan’s looking for. It is two and two. Where are we going? Runner at first with two down. The pitch in the dirt, if not in the dirt, near the dirt for ball three, folks. Full count for Carlson. [Music] O’Neal on it first. He’ll be off with the pitch. Here comes the 3-2 from Cruz. outside ball four. Bring that tying run up to the plate right now. I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Bring them up. And guess what? You don’t get to play matchups this time cuz Adley’s a switch hitter. Adley Rutman coming up next with a chance to get us back into the ball game. Let the clutch out gently. Okay. [Music] Come on, folks. We need some hat magic to kick in right now. [Music] Magic. Magic. Life. Life. Do you hear me? Give my creation. [Music] Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. [Music] Rutman at the plate. Two on, two out. The pitch swung on and he got out in front of it. It’ll land foul. It was short of home run distance, but Rutman was looking to turn on a pitch. That is for sure. It is 0 and1 on Adley. Rico Garcia is up for the Orioles in the bullpen. Rutman’s 0 for two. He walked his last time up. First and second, two down. The 01 swung on popped up. That’ll end the inning. I think I think it’ll be caught in shallow left by Cody Bellinger who shifted over from center field uh earlier I guess at the top of the inning. That’ll end the inning, folks. Rutman popping out with the tying has the tying run at the plate. Seventh inning stretch in the Bronx. We are down three. Uh the battle is looking bleak, but it ain’t over. We got a chance to maybe uh re-energize with some uh fuel, a little bit of a little bit of sustenance. to maybe get us over the hump here, folks. I’m talking about throwing some cakes on the griddle. Get those cakes up in the chat, folks. [Music] Thank God I’m a country. Folks, here’s the news. Uh, we are three subscribers short of 3560. Uh, any designs of getting to 3600 before the final out of the season on Sunday afternoon? Uh, chances are slim to none if we don’t at least get up to 3560 tonight. And we need three to make that needle move on that sub count. Folks, if you’re watching and you’re not subscribed, come on. It’s free. There’s no commitment. There’s no obligation. And no salesman will visit your home. No junk mail. None of that stuff. All right. Give it a shot. Help out the channel. All right. Well, I know you’re subscribed. You’re chatting. You wouldn’t be able to otherwise, but I do appreciate it, my friend. All right, folks. We are 10 likes away from triple digits. We’d love to get there. By the way, folks, tomorrow 1:00 afternoon game, Sagano against Schlitter. And then game 162. Why are they doing this to me? It’s a 3:00 game. Excuse me. It’s a 3:00 game right in the middle of an NFL Sunday. Bradish against Louis Heel, I believe. H, sorry. Acid reflux, folks. It happens to the best of us. Yinier Canó, who wrapped up the previous inning, is uh out here to begin the bottom of the seventh. And Chilo is already asking why. Chile, are there things that make you angry? I don’t know. This might be a one night uh a one night joke because this this could just this could get out of control. This could get out of control. Uh all right. Here we go. Paul Goldmid top of the order. He’s 0 for three. Judge and Bellinger to follow. Keeping an eye on those scoreboards, the Guardians are in danger of losing. Texas with a fiveun lead. The Tigers, meanwhile, holding on by one run on Boston. If those scores hold up, Detroit regains the lead in the Central with two games to play. That’s a first pitch strike to Goldmid from Canó. The Blue Jays, meanwhile, even if the Yankees win the night, if they hold on, they will keep their lead with the tiebreaker for the uh AL East division race. The Mets are still down by four late to the Marlins as they’re trying to hold on to that final wildcard spot. The Reds one game back and with the tiebreaker over the Mets, they have now tied it with the Brewers, one apiece, that game going into the bottom of the fifth. Uh, one and two the count on Goldmid. The pitch hit on the ground and through the right side. A base hit. And I got to agree. Why is Canó still out there? Are there things that make you angry? Yes. Are there things that make you angry? Hey Fred, how much time you got? The answer is yes. Do you want to know? You want a list? Are there things that make you angry? There are. Uh, every time I’m at a light for a lefthand turn arrow and the guy sitting in front of me isn’t turning when it’s yellow. It really pisses me off. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. I hate it when I’m standing in line and somebody thinks when they just step up parallel next to you that somehow they’ve cut in front of you on the line like, “Hello, I’m I’m here first. I know you see me. What are you trying to do?” Are there things that make you angry? Yeah. You know what? You know what it is? Walking down the sidewalk. Uh here’s a 200 pitch for a strike to Aaron Judge. It’s two in one. I’m walking down the sidewalk. Coming at me from the opposite direction is a group of three people. And as we begin to approach each other, they don’t make room for me to walk through. I have to just side step because they can’t just break up their little uh line formation uh to allow me to walk by. That that really upsets me. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. When I get into an elevator and somebody in uh or when I’m in an elevator trying to get out and somebody when the doors open tries to get into the elevator before people get out. Where do you think you’re going? We have to get out before you go anywhere. We get out then you get in. Capiche, are there things that make you angry? Yes, a lot of things. Uh, what happened here? Aaron Judge is on in first base. Uh, he was walked. Two on with nobody out. And that’s it for Canoe. Thanks. Uh, call to the bullpen, folks. What else? Are there things that make you angry? Yeah, I’ll I’ll get a flyer for like an ad from like some fancy sandwich at Burger King and and then in the picture it just looks like this mouthwatering just fivestar burger with all the trimmings and I I’m I’m I go over there and I order what I just saw off the commercial and I unwrap the thing and it looks like a baby’s diaper. That that I don’t like that. Are there things that make you angry? Uh, potholes. It feels like every pothole in every city I ever lived in goes neglected and when they fill it in, it just the hole just reappears like two days later. I don’t know why. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. Come to think of it, I hate it when I open up a door to the outside and a fly comes flying in like like I was just waiting for that door to open. Like I open the door one second and now I got a fly in the house. I hate that. Are there things that make you angry? Mr. Rogers, can I take a break? I got to call an Orioles game. Can we revisit this conversation? Jose Castillo, left-hander, is on in relief. Aaron Judge is the batter. No, he’s not. He’s on at first. Cody Bellinger is the batter, hence lefty, lefty. Okay, here we go. First and second, nobody out. First pitch to Bellinger. Slider, a strike from Castillo. Bellinger’s walked twice. He’s singled. He scored a pair of runs. That pitch might have been called strike two. I can’t tell by that motion by Buckner. Okay, we did get the call. The ball was dropped by Rutman, but we do get strike two. It’s 0 and2 on Bellinger. That pitch is low. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. When I work in an office environment with a shared kitchen and some jerkoff that works there decides to reheat fish in the microwave. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. One, two, pitch is low. Two and two the count on Bellinger. First and second for the Yankees. They lead it seven to four. The pitch outside full count. Are there things that make you angry? Yeah. When I walk my dog and I’m out there for like 20 minutes, I know it’s got to go and it’s just sitting around acting like it don’t have to go. We get back in the house and immediately it’s scratching at the door like what what are you doing? Here is a foul ball. Still a full count on Bellinger. [Laughter] Payoff pitch coming from Castillo. Here it is. Swinging a foul. Oh, just got a piece. Did Bellinger. Ball lands right in front of the catcher. Still three and two. Another 3-2 pitch. Line drive up the middle. Base hit. Cowser charging it. Will not have to throw home. The runner at third stops. It’s bases loaded. Nobody out for the Yankees. Oh no. Trouble brewing here in New York cuz Stanton is up next. Couple of lefties after him, but nobody nowhere to put them and nobody out. What you need is a a strike out or a ground ball. Obviously, uh first pitch strike. Castillo gets ahead of Stanton. I would probably not throw that pitch again. 01 low and away. One ball, one strike. Yankee fans are standing right behind home plate. They are expecting fireworks here. The 1-1 is outside. Two balls and one strike. Stanton with a pair of home runs already tonight. So that’s probably why fans are a little extra excited. Looking for a three homer night and a potential grand slam. That’s what they want. 2-1 pitch hit on the ground. This could be two. Westber, what are you doing? What are you doing? What? How do you not get two outs on an infield ground ball from Stanton? We only get one out and a run comes in to score. Westber double clutching. Doesn’t know what he’s doing. What are you doing, man? Anything. Just throw to a base and then go to first. Oh my god. You got the slowest man in all of baseball. You got to get two outs here. What are we doing? Terrible, terrible, terrible. Eight to four Yankees. Second and third with one out. Mr. Rogers, are there things that make you angry? Yes. Your button. I’m not pressing it anymore. Oh my god. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Now the infield is in for Trent Gisham. The count is 1 and0. Make it 2 and 0. This game is about to get away from us. Damn it, Westber. I mean, was Adley not set up to get that ball at home plate? Even if he goes to second and then the first, at least you get two outs with a run scoring instead of one. It just and with only the one out, you know, you can’t get a double play with runners at second and third unless it’s something weird. I mean, just such a huge mental and physical mistake. H that was hard to hard to watch. Gisham with a hard ball down the right field corner. It nearly snuck out down the right field foul pole, but it is a foul ball. That is strike one on Gisham. I mean, a couple of different choices there, Phantom. The The thing is, you didn’t do any of them. go to any base but first first because the odds are you’ll still have time to get that second out of first because Stanton can’t run. Stanton can’t even jog. He’s so slow. You got to just quickly go to some base and he didn’t. It’s so frustrating. 3-2 pitch. That’s on the corner. Oh my god. I’m gonna lose my mind. Not the beast. Not the beast. My eyes. My eyes. [Music] Hey, manelino. Uh, do something. I don’t care if it’s irrational and illogical at this point. Just do something. Now we’re mass going over the ABS system for next year. Oh gee, I wonder why they’re deciding now to go over that. Jazz Chism, bases loaded, one out. Nothing from nothing from Tony. Low for ball one. The Jazz the 10 ground ball. Go home. go back to first. Unfortunately, Rutchman’s throw back to first is high. Holiday covering the bag was off the bag. It is the right play. Almost ended the inning, but all said and done, it’s a fieldielder’s choice and we prevent a run from scoring with that second out. Base is still loaded with two down. 8 to4 Yankees. Anthony Vulpi coming up. Are there things that make you angry? Yes. When I leave Yankee Stadium and my tires are slashed. 10 pitch inside. 2 and 0. Nowhere to put them. Got to throw strikes. Right-hander Doval and lefty Yarboro up in the Yankee bullpen. Tuo misses outside and Castillo is Wait, that’s not a strike. That is He called that a strike or is Masson screwing up? That was 6 in outside. I mean, they called that a strike. I mean, thanks. I guess that’s the worst call tonight. It goes for us. I don’t know what’s going on. It’s three in one. Three and one. We are now one pitch away from walking in a batter or a runner. I mean, popped up. All right. on the infield. Mayo wants it. Mayo’s got it. Inning is over. God, watching this game is more frustrating than putting IKEA furniture together. We go to the eighth inning. It’s 8 to4 Yankees. I need a freaking break. Oh, wow. Here we go. I’m going to show you what I mean. Now, by the first thing you do is get right up in their face, you point the finger. Then, if you can’t get close enough, you turn the hand around and kick some dirt. And then, if he’s just a sprite, you get over here and you put dirt all over the thing. You throw the hat down, you pick it up, you throw it, and then you’re so bad, you throw him out the game. You’re out of here. That’s the way a major league manager should. I learned something. Boy, Harry, you’re you’re full of energy. You look great. I hate to tell you how I feel. I I’ve had that bad back myself. Also, with this cold, it just seems like it’s settling in there. That’s age, friend. I don’t care what it is. It feels awful. You smell like a drugstore. That’s right. I am a drug store. for condriak. Are you What does that mean? Over sexed, Janet. It’s been a while. [Music] Uh [Music] [Music] Morning. [Applause] [Music] Ah, hi everybody. Welcome back. Camilo Dval is on the pitch. Uh, Yankees plucked this guy at the trade deadline, right? From where? Twins, something like that. All right, it is the bottom of the oral order. Do up. Colton Cowser first pitch up and away for ball one. That wasn’t close. That’s a good sign. [Music] That first pitch was not close. Wait, is this frozen? That’s up and away. Two balls in a strike. Hello [Music] What is going on with the scoreboard? Dval needs to tie his shoe. Hey, Deval, your shoe’s untied. Don’t be so gullible, Dval. You know what they would do if I turned in my homework with your handwriting? I get kicked out of school now. You wouldn’t want that to happen now, would you? Would you? It’s 3 and 0 on Cowser, folks. [Music] There’s a strike. Hey, say hello to your mother for me. Okay. One day you’ll be my wife, Lorraine. The 3-1 pitch called a strike. Bottom of the zone. Full count on Cowser leading off the top of the eighth. The Orioles trail by four. Payoff pitch. He chased one. A slider low and in. Would have been ball four. We would have had a leadoff man on base. Instead, it’s a cowzerlike outcome. A strikeout. One down. Why don’t you just make like a tree and get out of here? It’s leave. It’s make like a tree and leave. You sound like an idiot every time you say it. Sammy Basio. First pitch is a strike. Next pitch, swing and a miss. It’s 0 and2. Sammy. Sammy’s 0 for three tonight. He’s been struggling. I can’t deny it. He’s been struggling. He’s got to get some hits and he strikes out on three pitches. Two out in the inning. Orioles are running out of time. Kobe Mayo coming up. Two down, nobody on in the eighth. If only there were a way to go back in time. Mayo chases one low and away. 0 and one the count. Oh my god, the Yankee Stadium crowd is doing the wave. I didn’t think they had it in them. That pitch is way off. One ball, one strike. Well, the Yankee fans are used to going like this because it’s the same pose you make when you know you’re under arrest. Like, freeze. Ah, yes, officer. Sorry. Everybody’s just practicing. Uh, one ball, two strikes on Kobe Mayo. Two down, nobody on. Pitch in the dirt. Two and two. Then again, Yankee fans also known for their excessive body odor. So, by doing this, it probably helps uh fumigate the stadium. maybe makes all the bugs and stuff go away. It’s a It’s a It’s a natural technique. Mayo strikes out. Ah, this inning is over. We’re going to the bottom of the eighth. We get one more chance to swing the bat and we’re down four. Eight to four Yankees, folks. What can you do? What can you do? What can you do with a GM like that? Always screwing up. What can you lose? What can you do? Uh folks, this season, I tell you what, just read something about how far the attendance dropped since the last season. Major drop about a half a million fans that didn’t show up this year that did last year. uh accountability. Anyone? All I’ve seen so far is a promotion, but you know, it’s like our manager says, so it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. Yep. It is what it is. You can’t you can’t defeat a sound argument like that. That is a rock solid argument. What are you going to do? It is what it is. All right. There’s a lady face deep in her phone. Uh, what do we got? Gisham leading off Castillo. First pitch is launched. If it’s fair, it’s gone. That ball is, I think, foul. Foul ball. Yankees. I’m sorry, not Gisham. That’s Austin Wells at the plate. Yankees are waiting. I think it’s a foul ball. It is foul. They’re not going to challenge. Definitely a foul ball. Not by much. 0 and one the count on Austin Wells. One for three. Swinging a miss. Castillo gets ahead of Wells and two. Well, folks, when it comes to going out to the ballpark, I can’t blame you if you say, “You know what? This is just beyond my uh price range. And honestly, uh you’re going to have to show me more for me to pay that ticket or buy that shirt or buy those nachos. So, guess what? If that’s how you feel, be like me. Be a cheap son of a [ __ ] and uh follow the team for free on this channel with me. How’s that sound? Uh, the count is two and two on Wells. Pitch outside full count. I have been asked recently about, well, BW, maybe you should point your efforts towards uh a different team, a team that’s doing better, a team that could draw a bigger audience. Wells strikes out on a slider from Castillo. One down. [Applause] And uh I quickly said uh there’s no chance. This is the one and only play-by-play team and sport that I feel that I’m qualified to do. Uh anything else would be a crappier version of whatever the hell this is. Cabayro with a line drive to left caught for the second out here in the bottom of the eighth. Castillo’s up to 32 pitches. He’s got a couple of earrings on his right ear. How about that? Looking like Jack, Captain Jack Sparrow over here. Uh, first pitch is inside to go. Is that Goldmid back up again? Goldmid one for four. The Blue Jays win their ball game, folks. The Yankees might win tonight, but they’re not taking over first place. And uh hopefully if we don’t win tonight, we do tomorrow. Fouled away. Two strikes, two down, nobody on in the bottom of the eighth. Pitch, swing, popped up right field. O’Neal is going to circle under it, make the catch to win the inning. The Orioles have one shot left. Down four. We’re going to the ninth inning. Ah, who’s due up? Who is due up for this? What do we got? Yo, Spike, I got the MS. What do you got? Uh, top of the order. Anyway, it is the top of the order doo up in the ninth. Top of the order to you. So, they’re probably going to go to a lefty to begin this ninth inning. Uh, was it Yarboro that was out there warming up? If I had to guess, we’re going to see Yarborough come in to pitch the ninth. Not a safe situation as well. So, that’s my guess. Uh, I’ll be right back. Yeah, Sagano pitching tomorrow. I’ll be honest, guys. I’m not very uh confident. Uh Sagano just gives up home run balls so frequently, and this is just not the right ballpark or team for him. Uh I do worry about tomorrow. David Bednar, who is uh the Yankee closer, is coming in in a non-safe situation. Even though, like I said, uh top of the order, non-safe situation, four-run lead. I would have thought they’d go to Yarbor, the lefty, but here we go. The Yankees apparently thinking we’re not taking chances. We’re going with Bedner. Uh first pitch is up and away to Jackson Holiday. He’ll be followed by Westber and Gunner. Curve ball from Bedner. Count even up at one and one. Yeah, folks. Tune in tomorrow for one final look at Sagano’s Mac Macki roll. Ah, you know, we have to admit as the season has gone on, we’ve paid less and less attention, but uh it was fun for a while. 2-1 pitch. Fouled straight back. Two and two. Are we still short of a 100 likes? Come on, folks. Have a heart. We’re right there. We are on the edge of a precipice. And I don’t often have reasons to use words like precipice, but here I am. Let’s get a hundred. Two and two pitch to Holiday. Taken low. Full count. We need base runners. That should be Holiday’s number one agenda. Get on base. Not how, but just do it. And there you go. Ball four up and away. Yankees bringing a closer in a nonsave situation and sometimes that can lead to trouble. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Some closers don’t like to come in non-safe situations. We need another base runner and another after that. Here’s Jordan Westber. Two for four on the night. He goes after a curve ball in the dirt. 0 and one the count. Come on, Westy. Well, West is that way. You don’t like Sagano’s Tony Monero pants. The 01 in the dirt. One ball, one strike. That’s what I’m talking about, Dan. Just keep the line moving. Get on any which way you can. One-1 pitch to Westber. Swing and a miss. He got a curve ball. It was in the zone all the way in there. Could not touch it, though. Two strikes. Come on, guess right, Jordan. Guess right. Pitch after low pitch. That could be Well, it’s going to be one out. Might be no out. He’s safe. Oh my. The Yankees again. A defensive blunder. Cabierro at third base. Kind of lacadasical on this ground ball. And then a bit of a double clutch as well. Westberg beats it out. Base runners, we need any which way we can. A walk and now what I think will be an E5. No, they’re going to give Westber a single. Okay, a walk and an infield hit. Gunner’s up now. Nobody out. Gunner one for four. for the first pitch taken for a strike. Curveball bottom of the zone. Come on, Gunnar. His name’s Gunar and he’s dating my mom. [Music] Two on, nobody out. The pitch hit on the ground. They’re going to go to second for one. That should be all they get. And it is. So Westber, the middle runner, is out. First out of the inning. Runners at first and third. Baltimore still need one more base runner to get the tying run up. Tyler O’Neal do up next. He’s got a home run tonight. And he walked his last time up. Come on, Popeye. We need you. Ahoy there. Anybody home? First pitch taken for a strike. Fast ball right in there at the bottom of the zone, middle of the plate. Are we still short of a 100? I don’t know what to tell people. Folks, hit the like button, please. Good grief. 01 pitch. That’s off the plate. The count is one and one. The one-1 from Bedner to O’Neal off the plate. Two and one. All right. Come on. Hang in there. Two-1 pitch coming. That’s a curveball. He takes it. It’s strike two. O’Neal just one for eight off of Bedner previously, but one is better than none. He’s He has gotten a hit off this guy. The 2-2 curveball. Got a piece, fouled it behind the plate. We’ll do it again. Jeremiah Jackson is on deck to pinch hit for Dylan Carlson. Two two O’Neal swinging a miss. Down he goes. The Orioles are down to their final out. Still needing another base runner to have a shot. It will be Jeremiah Jackson pinch hitting. We need to see Adley Rutman get an at bat before this game ends. He’s the on deck guy. Jackson needs to extend this game to have a chance. Jeremiah hitting 283. Come on Bullfrog. Jeremiah was a bull frog. Two down in the ninth. Orioles down four with two men on base. Bedinar delivers the first pitch outside and not close. It bounces in there for ball one. And moving up to second base is Gunner on that pitch. That’ll be in difference. I believe should be uh second and third with two down. Now the one to Jeremiah off. Come on Buckner. Damn it. It’s outside. Gave him the strike. It’s one and one. Give us a chance. One- one pitch. Checks the swing. The curveball. It doesn’t matter. Home plate dump says strike two. First base ump says he swung. Either way, the Orioles are down to their last strike. And this umpire crew ain’t going to get a Christmas card from me. I’ll tell you that much. The one two to Jeremiah swinging a miss. A fast ball neck high. And this game is over. The Yankees defeat the Orioles 8 to4 in the final start of the season for Trevor Rogers. Rogers had his first bad outing. He got knocked hard for three home runs, two off the bat of John Carlos Stanton. And uh that is the difference in the ball game. Uh pair of two-run homers from Stanton. Judge also homered. We had home runs as well, Jordan Westber and Tyler O’Neal. But uh yeah, Yankees scored again in the bottom of the sixth and another run in the seventh to pull away, make it a four-run lead. We could not respond after the sixth inning. And with that win, the Yankees win the season series as they are now uh ahead 7-4. If we do win the last two, we still lose the season series 76. But uh we need to play with some pride here tomorrow. Uh tonight was a frustrating one to say the least in Trevor Rogers’s final start. Yep. We left 10 men on base. The Yankees only five. That hurts as well. Uh attendance tonight just under 45,000. 44596. Time of the game 2 hours and 53 minutes. The Orioles are now 75 and 85 with two games left to play. And also uh yeah, catching Tampa for fourth place in the division. Tampa did lose tonight, but with our loss as well, still two games back. Uh, I would say that possibility is all but over as well. I don’t know. Are we headto-head win? Are we Do we have the tiebreaker against Tampa? Do I care enough to figure it out? Probably not. I don’t think I’m going to try to figure it out. Uh, but Will Warren is given the win. His record 9 and8. Trevor Rogers the loss. He is nine and three. Rogers only went the three innings. Let me open up the Twitter feed and make sure that Rogers was indeed just taken out because it was a tough night. Three home run balls, six runs given up. Uh and not anything more than that. Um yeah, nothing from Rockabotkco that would say Rogers had any issues. uh injury related with his removal just performance related and that’s a sigh of relief. Uh Dylan Beavers did exit the game early after following a ball off his right shin. Uh he should be okay. Uh just you know probably hurt a lot and uh they made a move to take him out of the ball game. Could be back in the lineup tomorrow. Who is the Yankee pitcher for tomorrow? Schlitter. He’s a right-hander, right? So, a chance we could see Beavers back in the lineup tomorrow, although it is an early afternoon game. Maybe he’ll have a bit of swelling there. I don’t know. We’ll see. But, uh, that is going to wrap up tonight’s, uh, coverage. Let’s talk about tomorrow’s game quickly. Again, it’s an early afternoon game. Uh first pitch is going to be at what is it? Uh 1:05 p.m. The stream the coverage pregame will start at 12:50 p.m. Tomyuki Sagano making what will likely be his final start as an oral and his only season as an oral. Uh he’ll be up against Cam Schlitter. And uh I hope you’ll be back to join me for game number 161, folks. Uh the season, as we know, a disappointment, but we love baseball, don’t we? And this is our team. We’ve only got a couple of games left. Let’s watch and see what we get. We might get a special moment. Basio might do something to amaze us. Uh or something like that. You know what I’m saying? So, come on back tomorrow, folks, and catch Orioles baseball while we while we still have some. We just hit 100 likes. I mean, talk about barely barely getting over the finish line. I mean, and I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. Appreciate it, Janet. I’m checking right now at the uh options I have in terms of a redirect. Um, we’re we’re we did fall short of even getting as many as five subscribers tonight. We got three three subscribers in an Orio Yankee game in September. You tell me about the health of the team cuz I feel it being directly reflected on my channel’s growth. It’s harsh. I mean, folks, barely got to 100 likes. We would roll off a 100 likes with like a breeze before this season went belly up, facing teams a lot less exciting or dramatic as the Yankees. But that’s just the way it is. That’s just the way it’s been this season, folks. going to have to take it on the chin and cross our fingers we figure this out for next season because man I tell you Mike Elias the future of me is in your hands dude my future is in your hands uh whether I want it to be or not. Uh JJ is doing Diamond Zone at the moment. Rising Rhino is doing some Canadian football. I’ve got uh Well, no, not you. Let’s see. Hey everybody, you know the hat. I I did put on the hat at the right time. Westber’s three-run homer gave us the lead. I mean, the timing of that was fantastic. But, uh, apparently just not enough hat energy beyond that moment tonight. That was that was the best feeling we had. Um, all right. All right, I got to flip a coin between Rhino and JJ. Um, uh, I think it’s JJ’s turn. I think it’s JJ’s turn. Let’s go. Diamond Zone, folks. If you’re not familiar with the concept, it’s like the red zone channel for the NFL, except JJ bounces around game to game, uh, watching and monitoring every game going on at any given time. And, uh, if a team is kind of in scoring position or something to that effect, he jumps over to that game and starts giving you the playbyplay. And then when that little rally wraps up or whatever, he jumps on to another one. It’s fun stuff. Uh, you’re welcome, Pocket Watch. Thank you. And once again, Pocket Watch, we do need to have a conversation if you are serious. Hey, by the way, we dropped to 99 likes. Somebody was kind enough to take their like away in order for me not to enjoy one minor milestone on the night. Why should I, folks? I don’t deserve to. I don’t deserve a 100 likes or, you know, any kind of again minor indication of a job well done. Why should I? But yeah, uh, pocket watch, let’s talk soon. Uh, I want to put the ball in your court, man, because I don’t want to bother you. But, uh, if you got some suggestions, I’m all ears, man. Uh again, uh if nobody had heard before, I plan on for the wildcard round of the upcoming playoffs to cover the Cubs versus Padres’s series. Uh once we get to the division round that the Padres’s advance and O’Harn and Lauraniano is peing our interest, we might follow the Padres’s along for another round. But I’m also very interested in uh following the Mariners and their quest to win the first pennant in their franchise’s history. Uh this season looks like the best time to do it because in the American League, I don’t see any team that looks like a front runner to me. Blue Jays have a good team. Yankees have a good team. Mariners have a good team. Uh, Tigers, Guardians playing hotter than anybody. Uh, it’s up for grabs. I don’t know how anybody can sit here and say, “Oh, this is your this is your American League representative in the World Series this year.” I think it’s uh anybody’s game except ours, unfortunately. Except ours. All right, so that’s going to wrap things up, folks. Thanks for being here. I hope you have a good rest of your Friday night. Come on back. Don’t stay up too late because we got an early one tomorrow. Uh, I want to say thanks to the mods in the Charm City chat for doing more bang up work, keeping the chat nice and charming. Uh, thanks to everybody helping getting the likes up to 100. We had Matt get a magic membership tonight. Thanks to you, sir, also for the super chat. We had a couple of those. I think it was Warren with the other one. And if I’m missing another, I apologize. Uh my attention or my uh short-term memory has been affected by decades of marijuana use. Sorry. All right, that’s going to do it, folks. Two more games of BW calling the Orioles in 2025. I hope you’ll join me cuz uh I won’t be doing oral games again until March or I guess late February. Whatever the first spring training televised game is, I’ll be here. But uh going to be months and months, folks. I do have content for the offseason planned. I’ll be talking about it. There’ll be posts and all that stuff. So keep your eyes and ears peeled. And if you don’t like my off season content, it’s okay. Just don’t unsubscribe. If you got a notification bell on, uh maybe you want to turn it off during the off season if you’re not down with the offseason content. I don’t want to annoy anybody. The worst thing is for me to, you know, continue to make this a all year round channel only to make current subscribers leave because they don’t like the nonplaybyplay content. But uh just another thing that I have to cross my fingers and hope works out. I don’t know, folks. It’s all a crapshoot to me. Who knows? But that’s it. I’m done. Have a good night until tomorrow afternoon. This has been the word this has been the bird watcher and the hat and we will chirp at you later. And yes, this shirt will probably be on for game two. It’s midnight for me. All right, take care. Taking you now to JJ, I think. Have a good one, folks. Let’s win tomorrow. See you later.
