If the Cardinals win the next two games (they won’t), and if concurrently the Padres win their last two games, their Wild Card matchup would be in San Diego instead of Chicago.
For McGreevy’s sake, I hope the Cardinals win today. At this point, though, it doesn’t really matter much.
On the plus side, it is unlikely this game will be as bad as yesterday’s.
Bloom’s presser is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m.. The word is that it will air on TV.
